Our dinner has been going great. He is still a little hurt about the bad breath joke. But, he still ate the entire salmon even with the little grins I'd tease him with after each bite. He's adorable.
And honestly, his salmon looked amazing but I'd never tell him that.
I finished my whole meal and drank two more glasses of tequila. I felt like a straight fat ass.
All the alcohol spreads like wild fire through my veins, making me feel calmer and calmer by the minute. I haven't felt this type of buzz in a long time.
I stare at his beautiful blues and feel my heart skip a beat each time he smiles.
I bite on my lip and concentrate on anything other than his lips. And his gorgeous dimples.
Those two alone are enough to make any girl fall to her knees.
I lean up and let out a huge, deep sigh. "I have something to ask you."
He nods and wipes his mouth. "What is it?"
"Four years ago in New York, I saw you. You were walking down the busy streets downtown. It was the 22nd of December. You were wearing a suit with sunglasses. I remember thinking, 'why the hell is he wearing glasses when it was snowing'.... I knew it was you because I saw the fire in your eyes before you put them on and you have one of a kind dimples." I smile and I pinch my lip.
"I pushed my way through the crowd, yelling your name loudly. After searching a few places, I stood on a bench and yelled your name over and over but you didn't come. I guess my question is.. did you hear me or was you ignoring me?"
His face drops and his body tenses. He looks at lost for words.
I rotate myself on each butt cheek trying to not seem overly impatient as I wait for an answer. He ran his hand through his perfect curls causing pieces of his hair to pull because of the hair spray. He struggled getting his fingers unstuck causing a laugh from me. He's so cute.
He takes a small sip of water. "I didn't hear you. If I did, trust me, I would of came to you. I walked around the corner and got straight into my car. We headed the opposite direction and I didn't go back. You were there? You were in New York?"
I nod. "I went to college there. I stayed until I graduated then traveled a little before coming here."
He gets up and sits next to me. He runs the back of his knuckles on my cheek and studies my face. "I wasn't ignoring you. I hope you don't think that I've been ignoring you all these years."

I smile and shake my head no. "I didn't think that. With how many people was there, I figured you didn't hear me."
He looks down at my lips and licks his. He tightens his jaw showing off his perfect straight jaw line.
"Storm." He whispers leaning closer.
I nod and lick my lips. "Yes?"
I felt his hot breath mix with mine.
His breath smells like tequila and cinnamon. Fuck.
I felt my blood rushing as I stared at his lips getting closer and closer.
"Sir." Romeo said behind us.
Kaden snaps his head and looks angry at Romeo. I felt my cheeks burning and turned the opposite direction, grabbing my water and took a drink.
Thanks Romeo. You deserve the award for best timing!
"Te juro por Dios que si esto no es importante, te arrojo a mi chimenea!" Kaden says threw gritted teeth.
(Translation: I swear to God if this isn't important, I will throw you in my fireplace!)
I watch as Romeo smile drops and he rolls his eyes. "Tu mamá ha estado llamando constantemente durante la última hora".
(Translation: Your mom has been calling constantly for the past hour.)
"For?" Kaden says taking a deep breath.
He smiles and points to me. "She found out that you are meeting Stormi."
Kaden looks at me and smiles, shaking his head. He turns to face Romeo.
"Tell her I'll call her back when I am finished with my date. Also, Si alguna vez me vuelves a interrumpir, empieza a cavarte una tumba.
(Translation: If you ever interrupt me again, start digging yourself a grave.)
He gives Kaden a slight nod before hurrying away.
"My mom found out I am with you.." He says with a straight, childish face.
I smile. "How is she? I miss her and her peanut butter cookies."
Kadens mom used to make peanut butter cookies everyday after school. She made batches and batches of them every week for everyone. Kaden and I used to eat them in the playhouse when we pretended we were married.
Kaden smiles. "She's been calling constantly for an hour."
I smack his arm. "Well, call her. Don't keep her waiting."
"Are you sure?"
I nod and scoot closer to him so I could hear her.
He grabs his phone out and I watch as he types in his password. 0430.
My birthday.
I give him a look and he smiles before putting the phone on speaker.
She answers on the first ring.
"Momma." Kaden said in a hyper child's voice.
I roll my eyes. He's always been a mommy's boy.
"I'm going to whoop your ass for hiding Stormi away from me! Where is she? Where is Stormi! How dare you go out with her without telling me! I miss her as much as you if not more...."

"Mom!" Kaden said over and over until she went quiet. When she finally did, Kaden chuckles. "Stormi is right beside me. She wants to say hi."
She went quiet. I lean towards the phone and smile as the tears filled my eyes.
"Mama Hernandez." I said in an overly excited voice.
"Oh my goodness! I can't believe it's you!"
After her melt down, and mine, we talked about how our lives have been since the last time we saw each other. She made sure several times I was alright before saying she had to get off the phone for something.
"Get my number from Kaden so I can call you whenever I want. Also, don't hesitate to tell me if my little boy is treating you badly. He might be 22 but I will still whoop his ass."
I laugh and tell her I will before Kaden said he'll call her later. He seemed uneasy about the way she said she needed to get off the phone. But after exchanging their, "I love you's", she hangs up.
I give Kaden a baby look. "Still a mommy's boy I see."
He shrugs and tickles my sides. "I don't think that will ever change."
I roll my eyes and he tickles me harder. I am laughing so hard that tears are coming down.
"Stop! Please stop, Kaden." He tickles me more as I try to pull away. "If you don't stop, I'mma tell you mama."
He stops and gives me a dirty playful look. I sit up and rub my sides as a smile forms on my face. "Still scared of her too. Some things never change." I chuckle.
He points at me with the most serious face. "You've felt her spankings before. They hurt worse than getting shot!" He says.
I start laughing at the expression he gave before my face goes serious. "You've been shot before?"
He nods and I nod back."I need to use the bathroom."
He nods as I quickly head to the bathroom. I quickly do my business and wash my hands. I check my hair and make up and smile.
My face is glowing and my cheeks looks like I used a whole container of blush on them.
"Fuck, I'm so happy." I whisper to myself before walking back to the table.
Kaden smiles and watches me the whole time as I walk back. "Would you like desert, baby?" I like when he calls me that.
I debate whether or not I want some but eventually feel defeated. "I probably shouldn't. But, thank you."
He nods as he throws down tip money on the table before standing up and holding out his arm.
I grab tightly to his arm as we walk to the car. He opens the door for me.
We stay quiet in the car. I mainly didn't talk because we have two extra set of ears listening. Kaden was busy trying to concentrate on not looking at his phone that kept going off and he was having a secret eye conversation with Romeo.
"You can answer that. It's okay." I tell him.
His head snaps my way before shaking his head. "It's work. It can wait twenty more minutes."
I smile and nod as I look back out the window.
Kaden walks me to my front door.
"Thank you so much for tonight. It was special."
He lets out a small chuckle. "I'm hoping I get to see you again. Soon, Storm."
I nod. "I would like that."
I wrap my arms around his waist and give him a small hug.
"It's been the best night of my entire life." He says when I pull away.
I unlock my apartment door and step inside. I have a huge step at the entrance so I stand here. I could actually reach Kaden's shoulders if he kisses me.
"No goodnight kiss, baby?" He ask staring at my lips.
I shake my head. "Not with fish breath."
"On the cheek?" He ask sticking out his bottom lip.
I shake my head no smiling.
He rolls his eyes and chuckles. "I ate all of those mints that----."
I cut him off by pressing my lips to his. I wrap my arms around his neck and feel the butterflies release in my stomach. My body burns with passion and the fireworks explodes in my heart.
Kaden wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me closer to him.
His lips match perfectly with mine like they were sculpted just for me. He runs his tongue on my bottom lip asking permission.
Permission granted.
His tongue shoots in my mouth and explores every inch. I run my hands through the back of his hair as our kiss intensifies.
Fuck, you kiss good.
After a few intense seconds, Kaden pulls away, breathing extremely heavy. I smile and touch my forehead to his as I catch my breath.
He smiles and gives me a single peck on the lips.
"I've waited along time for that kiss, babygirl." Kaden said once his breathing returns to normal.
I shrug and pull away. "I might make you wait another ten years for another one, mommy's boy." I tease shutting the door to stop me from inviting him in.
I'm definitely not ready for that yet.
