《Greatest Pleasure》four - past lives

My heart races as I stare into his sapphire blue eyes that seem so familiar but yet, so strange. Brief images of him younger showers my mind with blissful memories that I can only remember in tiny clips at a time.
He's cute.
A little over dressed for Walmart though.
"I can't believe I finally found you." He says wrapping his arms around me, pulling me against his sculpted body. I hesitate but wrap my arms around his waist and lay my head on his chest listening to his heart beat. His cologne is strong but smells amazing. Versace.
I pull away and smile. "How have you been?" I ask as I start stocking the items onto the shelf.
He smiles showing off his beautiful smile. "Better than most. How are you?" He raises an eye brow.
"I can't complain."
My eyes turn to the man approaching us. The same man from last night. "It was your event last night?"
Kaden looks over at me as does the other man. "Yes, it was."
He gives me a brief nod before turning to Kaden. "Sir, it's very important. Please come quickly."
Kaden nods before turning to me. "We should get dinner sometime and catch up. Let me get your phone and I'll add my number into it."
I nod and grab my phone out of my back pocket and hand it to him.
He smiles and I watch as he types his number in.
He gives me a quick hug. "It's so nice to see you again."
"You too!" I say waving as he walks away in a hurry.
He takes a few more glances at me, giving me his famous smile before walking around the corner and leaving.
I stare down at my phone and stare at his number. He called himself so he has mine now.
I put my phone away and sigh as I see the cartful of groceries Kaden left behind. Great, just great.

Monday morning. My first day off. It's been three days since I saw Kaden. If it wasn't for working two jobs, I would of called him before hand. But as I stare at my phone, I second guess myself whether to call him or not. He hasn't tried to call me.

I clean and walk around my house. I cook and shower. I shave my entire body before rewashing my body and hair, multiple times trying to pass time.
But, here I am again. Sitting at my desk and staring down at my phone some more.
"Fuck it." I whisper as I click his name and press dial. "Shit!" I panic and hangup after the first ring.
I jump when my phone rings and I see Kadens name pop up.
I take a few heavy deep breaths before I press the green button.
"Hello?" I say in a very high pitched nervous voice.
I could hear his smile in his tone. "Princessa. I've been waiting for your call."
I let out a nervous giggle. "I've been really busy with work, I'm sorry."
"It's okay. Are you free tonight? Say six?"
Am I free tonight? At 6???!!!
AM I?
I smack my forehead and shake my head. "Yes I am free. Do you want to meet? I can meet you somewhere or you could even meet me somewhere. Or we could even just talk on the phone or.... not." I ramble on.
He chuckles. "Calm down, Storm. It's just me. I can pick you up at six. Just send me your address."
"Cool." I say hanging up to quickly.
Fuck, that was kind of rude.
I hesitate calling him but decide not to as I head to my closet to pick out an outfit. It's four now so I only have two hours to get ready.
Fuck! Fuck! FUCK!
I have nothing and I mean nothing to wear for a date. Most of my wardrobe is made of shorts, sweaters and hoodies.
I put on my shoes and my keys before I sprint out of my apartment and head to the mall. After searching for half an hour, I find one. It black with spaghetti straps. It goes halfway up my thighs and clings to all my goodies. I only have a 36C cup but my ass was definitely blessed. I buy black heels to match before rushing home to get ready.
I shower once more before drying my hair and curling it. I spray perfume all over me and put on a little eyeliner and mascara before I put on my dress and heels just as the door bell rings.

My skin starts to vibrate as I walk to the door. I open it and stare at Kaden. He's wearing a black suit with silver cufflinks. He put hair spray in his hair to keep his curls from fizzing out but made them extra crispy. His cologne is mixed with cinnamon this time. Smells like heaven.
He looks me up and down. His full lips goes into a huge smile showing his perfect straight white teeth. He could be in a teeth commerical.
"You look so beautiful." He says so quietly I think he meant to say it to himself.
I stare at him and smile. "You look so beautiful too."
Dumb... I feel my cheeks getting flushed as I give him a hug to hide the awkwardness.
I hear him sniff and pull away.
"Do I smell?"
He laughs. "No, I have a running nose. Vanilla is my favorite smell." He promises.
I give him a little nod and grab my clutch off the table. I lock my door and toss the key into my bag before I wrap it around my arm as Kaden holds out his hand. I nervously take it and he laces his fingers around mine while we walk down the stairs and to the car parked right out front.
"Thank you." I tell him as he opens the back door for me letting me in. I stare at the two body guards sitting in the front seat and stare at Kaden. He shrugs.
"It's for my personal protection. There's a lot to crazy people out here."
I give him a small smile as I look out the window.
"I don't feel comfortable with you living in this neighborhood alone. It doesn't sit well in my stomach."
I look towards my apartment complex. "I have never had a problem."
With tons of people all in close proximity of eachother, of course there's going to be issues. That's why I just mind my business.
After a few minutes of silence, I turn to him. "Did you handle the serious matter the other day?"
He nods. "Yes, I did. I'm sorry that I had to leave in such a hurry."
"It's okay. Tell me more about you. I don't want to sit in an awkward silence."
He nods as he presses a button closing the small space from the backseat from the front.
His parents live in the house he bought them in New York. His younger brother just started college. His younger sister just started highschool. His favorite color is still blue. Lucky number is still fifteen. He loves mexican food and comedy movies. His music is any. He never went to college because he started his business at nineteen and never needed to. His uncle started the business but passed away leaving it all to Kaden resulting in the big empire.
He hasn't ever had a girlfriend.
He doesn't have much time to do anything because he hardly has time off work.
"How many houses do you own?" I ask him.
"One in New York, one in California, one in Colorado and one in Bora."
I bite on my bottom lip to stop me from talking as we pull into a huge five star restaurant.
Kaden gets out and holds his hand out for me. I gladly take it and step outside fixing my dress.
Kaden walks straight through the door and past the host. He walks towards the back into a private room ignoring the looks he got from everyone but I saw everyone staring.
What the hell is he doing?
I stare shocked at what he just did and look between the room and the public dining area we passed.
"Uh...I think they are supposed to seat us. That was kind of rude."
He laughs and pulls a chair out for me. "I own this restaurant, babygirl. I can do whatever I want."
I smile and give him a nod. "Cool."
