Chapter 1352: 1352
Chapter 1352: Rescue
Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation
How big was a world?
Perhaps no one could give a complete answer to this question.
A great world was vast and boundless, and there were countless living beings. In addition to the billions of small worlds…
Xing Tian did not expect Ou Yangming to have such a crazy idea.
Even the Great Wide World had suffered a blow of destruction. The billions of small worlds had all been destroyed, and the great world had shrunk by two-thirds. The remaining part was still very terrifying.
If so many people were to be taken away, how big must the space be to fit all of them?
Xing Tian took a deep breath.
“Senior, I’ll bring you to a place,” Ou Yangming said.
As soon as he finished, another world appeared in front of Xing Tian.
“This place is…” Xing Tian looked ahead in shock.
‘Ou Yangming said that he has created a world. Could it be this place?’
Xing Tian found it hard to believe. The main reason was that this place was too massive. It was boundless and seemed like a great world. The continent under his feet was much bigger than the Zhenwu Continent.
Ou Yangming nodded and said, “This is the world I created, but time is limited. Only the continent under our feet can let humans survive. The other places are still waiting to be developed. I plan to move all the survivors of the Great Wide World to this place. What do you think?”
If Xing Tian had not seen it with his own eyes, he would shake his head because this was a crazy idea. Nonetheless, he had nothing to say at this moment. This continent could indeed fulfill Ou Yangming’s idea.
The scene flashed, and Xing Tian returned to the heart of the world.
He finally understood why Ou Yangming wanted to kill the Heavenly Path. It turned out that he already had a plan in his heart.
“Senior Xing Tian, I need your help,” Ou Yangming said in a deep voice.
Time was limited. If Ou Yangming wanted to take everyone away by himself, he might not have enough time.
“Tell me,” Xing Tian said with a serious expression.
Ou Yangming opened his palm, and a black ball appeared.
“What’s this?” Xing Tian’s eyes were filled with curiosity.
Ou Yangming said, “Senior Xing Tian, this is a passage of my internal world. I’ve sealed it inside this stone. Senior, you only need to hold it and you can take in all the living beings in the Great Wide World. We’ll move separately. This way, it’ll be much faster.”
“Okay.” Xing Tian held the stone in his hand.
They discussed the area of responsibility and left.
Half a day later, in the Mystic Sky Sect of the Zhenwu Continent.
The mountain range was now in ruins, and smoke was billowing everywhere.

With the departure of the higher-ups, the Mystic Sky Sect was destroyed. The disaster had not reached here yet, but the sect had fallen into chaos.
The Mystic Sky Sect only had 10 spots. How many people could they take away?
Most of the people could only stay in this world and slowly wait for the process of death.
“Hurry up!” The sound of a whip was heard.
A long whip with thorns lashed out fiercely on the body of a direct disciple of the Mystic Sky Sect.
That disciple gritted his teeth, but he did not dare to voice his anger.
Now that the world had withered, their strengths were constantly deteriorating. Compared to this monster that had suddenly appeared, they could not even withstand a single blow.
If they did not want to die, there was only one choice, and that was to endure humiliation.
On the mountain peak, a grey-furred rat with a sharp gaze stood in the air. He had a strong build, and his eyes were filled with contempt.
“Sir!” A rat with a long whip flew up.
“How is it? Have all the treasures of the Mystic Sky Sect been removed?” The strong rat asked indifferently.
“Almost. We captured a few of the previous elders of the Mystic Sky Sect and interrogated them about their treasury, but half of the items inside have been taken away. The remaining items aren’t bad either. We’ve also searched through the other mountain peaks. Basically, we’ve found all the good items.”
The muscular rat sneered. “The Mystic Sky Sect is a top sect in the Fifth World. Perhaps they still have some good items hidden. We have to find them no matter what. Many of the good things in our world have been exploited. We can’t miss such a good opportunity.”
“Yes, sir. I’ll kill a few elders to see if there’s anything that we’ve missed.” The grey-haired rat retreated.
This kind of thing happened at the same time in the other sects.
A group of rats suddenly appeared and wantonly plundered all the treasures in the Great Wide World.
Outside the Mystic Sky Sect, Song Qingshan was lying on the ground. His aura was very weak, and the other outer sect disciples were not much different from him.
They were lucky but also unlucky.
The outer sect did not have any benefits, and those monsters did not pay attention to them. Compared to the inner sect disciples who worked as laborers, they were lucky. Nevertheless, due to their lack of strength, their bodies had become very weak due to the changes in the world. All of them became lifeless, and their bodily functions became rigid. Their breathing was weak as if they were old men who were about to die.
“Are we going to die?” The sun in the sky was hot, but they did not even have the strength to move to a shady place.

Everyone’s hearts were filled with despair.
The temperature on the ground was very high. If it were in the past, they would not have felt anything at all. Now, it was urging them to end their lives as soon as possible.
Song Qingshan’s lips were dry, and his eyes were blurry. He could not see clearly in the distance.
He recalled the scenes of his life. His father had worked hard to train him and spent countless resources on him before sending him to the respected Mystic Sky Sect. He had become a disciple of the Mystic Sky Sect. After arriving here, he realized that the sect was not that great either.
There were also schemes in this place, and the outer sect disciples were only the lowest level of existence here.
They had even lost the chance to regret coming here because none of them could leave the big mountains here.
Despite that, Song Qingshan was still full of hope.
He had fought hard from the Spirit Beasts Mountain to the Alchemy Pavilion and had learned a lot of knowledge from the alchemists.
As long as… As long as he persevered for a few years, he would be able to become a Rudimentary Alchemist and become a respected alchemist in the outer sect. He would even have the chance to take a flying boat and leave the mountain to buy things. At that time, he would be able to see his father again.
Hope was right in front of Song Qingshan, and he believed that his path was bright.
Having said that, the sudden change made him hopeless. This was a disaster that no one could stop. Even the elders and sect masters of the Mystic Sky Sect could not stop it.
Song Qingshan felt tired, and he wanted to close his eyes.
Even though he knew that if he closed his eyes, he might never be able to open them again and might never be able to see his father again.
Just as Song Qingshan was about to close his eyes, a gust of cold wind suddenly blew, and it started to rain.
The rain was like a spring of life, sprinkling on the people, and their bodies gradually recovered.
Their exhausted bodies were gradually filled with energy.
Many people opened their eyes, and they wept with joy.
“What’s going on? Why is it raining?” The grey-haired rat frowned slightly and looked up at the sky.
“Sir, there’s a person over there.”
The rats on the ground also looked at the sky. They found that there was a human in a black robe in the distant sky. He was stepping on the air and slowly walking toward them.
“Who are you?” The grey-haired rat shouted at the person in the sky with a cautious look in his eyes.
The rats on the ground took out their weapons and looked at the sky vigilantly.
“Ha…” Ou Yangming smiled faintly and looked down.
In an empty space, there were mountains of treasures. There were ores, weapons, and spiritual herbs.
These things could not be taken away by Mystic Sky. Now, they were all found by these unknown rats.
Judging from the aura of these guys, they were not creatures from the Great Wide World. As for which world they were from, Ou Yangming had no interest in asking them.
“Die!” Ou Yangming spat out a word.
“Boom, boom, boom…” In an instant, the grey-haired rats exploded one by one.
With just a sentence from Ou Yangming, none of these rats, which were at least Rulers, survived.
“Soul-sucking.” Ou Yangming’s gaze swept across the sky.
A memory entered his mind, and he instantly understood everything.
These guys were called Cat-eating Rats, and they came from the First World.
The First World was very old, and the Heavenly Path of that place was extremely powerful, so much so that the interval between each reincarnation was very far away. Time was almost endless, but the resources would not increase. There were many more powerhouses in the First World, but their resources were the scarcest of all the worlds.
These rats were sent by a large sect from the First World. Their goal was to take away all the resources here before the Great Wide World was destroyed.
“It’s Ruler Ming.” The inner sect disciples of the Mystic Sky Sect raised their heads to look at the sky, their eyes filled with surprise and joy.
The drizzle that had fused with the profound meaning of creation had allowed everyone’s bodies to gradually heal. They could clearly see the appearance of the person in the sky.
“It’s Ou Yangming. He’s here…” Song Qingshan struggled to get up. He looked at the person in the sky with a smile in his eyes. He had survived. It was Ou Yangming who had saved him.
The millions of disciples of the Mystic Sky Sect were all boiling with excitement.
Ou Yangming stretched out his hand and pressed down. The shouting gradually subsided. Everyone raised their heads to look at the sky.
Only then did Ou Yangming say, “The destruction of the Great Wide World can’t be avoided. I’m here to bring all of you out of this world.”
‘Leave this world?’
Upon hearing Ou Yangming’s words, the disciples of the Mystic Sky Sect clenched their fists in excitement.
Ruler Ming was really saving them. He wanted to bring them out of this world.
Ou Yangming continued, “I’ll bring all of you to another place. It’s a magical place, and you can safely survive the crisis there and start a new life.”
After saying that, Ou Yangming waved his hand, and the million disciples of the Mystic Sky Sect disappeared in an instant.

The Oresteia (Modernized)
All three of the great Greek Tragedians have written plays about the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos. Yet theirs is in fact not a story of tragedy, but rather one of redemption. As they move from darkness to light, from rage to self-governance, from primitive ritual to civilized institution, their spirit of struggle and regeneration becomes an everlasting song of celebration to be heard throughout the ages. Forming a discourse set against the emergence of Athenian democracy out of a period of chaos and destruction, the Orestian plays are compelling stories of the tensions between our obligations to our families and the laws that bind us together as a society. In the beginning, we witness how a king’s decision to sacrifice his daughter and turn the tide of war inflicts lasting damage on his family, culminating in a terrible act of retribution. In the aftermath of regicide, we behold how a son must set out to avenge his father’s death by committing a most egregious sin. In the end, the sinner is tormented by supernatural powers that can never be appeased, but ultimately finds redemption and ends the curse on his house once and for all. Woven through all of this is the story of a friendship so close that it elevates itself to brotherhood - Where the blood of the covenant is shown to be indeed thicker than the water of the womb. In this very brief twelve-chapter modern rendition of the Orestian plays, I have chosen to place my focus mainly on the lives of the characters Orestes and his best friend Pylades. The chapters, each around 2000-2500 words, are split up evenly between them in first-person narrative. I hope that you will come to enjoy reading this heartwarming story, but more importantly, that you see how the conflicts portrayed in the story, whether human or institutional, are still much very relevant to our societies today. Note on Sources: The details of this story is very loosely based on The Oresteia by Aeschylus. And I mean very loosely. Other sources that I referenced for detail and inspiration are Mythology by Edith Hamilton, Electra by Sophocles, and Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides. You may also find that I have quoted some of these works, and others (such as Shelley's Ozymondaeus), without citations (average of 1-2 such quotes per chapter). I did this because I do not have the ability to describe certain scenes nearly as well as some of those writers. If you read a particularly beautiful piece of prose here, chances are it's probably stolen lol. Also, I wrote this during the summer between my high school senior year and my college freshmen year. It was the summer of 2020, and being quarantined apparently gets my creative side out lol.
