Chapter 1200: 1200
Chapter 1200: Gift
With the elder of the library as the witness, everyone finally believed that the strange book had been destroyed.
No one planned to make Ou Yangming accountable for it. After all, that thing was insignificant to them.
In the Seven Stars Pavilion’s main hall.
“Master Ou, this… You really intend to give these to us?” The Seven Stars Pavilion’s head, He Shaoyu, looked at the treasures in Ou Yangming’s hand in shock.
He was not the only one. The other elders also had strange looks on their faces.
Ou Yangming opened his hand, and there were a few golden pills inside. No one had seen these pills before but judging from the dense mists on them, their quality was definitely not low.
“The Qi of the pills have turned into mists. What good treasures!”
Many people stared at the 3 pills in Ou Yangming’s hand.
Pills that had Qi that could turn into mists were surely high-grade pills above Grade 7. They did not expect that Master Ou would take out such precious items.
Ou Yangming smiled faintly and said, “I damaged the book in your library, so it’s only right for me to compensate you. These 3 pills are the Five Revolutions Golden Pills, and I obtained them by chance. They can allow top-grade Venerable Ones to directly break through to become Rulers. A powerhouse’s comprehension of the laws can also be improved, and one will have a certain chance to directly become a Ruler of the laws.”
He slowly introduced the medicinal effects.
When the others heard that the pills could directly help one become a Ruler, they were shocked, and they stared fixedly at the pills in Ou Yangming’s hand.
“The effects are too heaven-defying. Did such a divine medicine actually exist in the Great Wide World?” The dozen or so people present were all Rulers. They understood how difficult it was to advance from a Venerable One into a Ruler.
“This kind of medicinal pill has never appeared in the Great Wide World, but its effect is absolutely good. I’ve tried it before.” Ou Yangming smiled slightly.
“Master Ou, you can’t. We don’t dare to take such precious medicinal pills.” He Shaoyu’s voice trembled slightly.
There was a very big threshold for a Venerable One to become a Ruler. 90% of people would never have the opportunity to do so in their lives. If the effects of these 3 ordinary-looking pills were true, they could even be compared to 3 real Rulers. There were many powerhouses in the Great Wide World who were willing to do anything for the people closest to them.
“These are for you. You can take them.”
Ou Yangming did not plan to take the things back after giving them out. He had exchanged so many spiritual medicines from the Mystic Sky Sectt, and a large part of them would be used to refine golden pills, so he would not lack these things in the future.

He said again, “I have another request.”
“Master Ou, please.” He Shaoyu’s expression was solemn.
“I plan to stay in Starlight City under the Seven Stars Mountain for a period of time. I need to buy a courtyard there, so I’ll need your help with that. In addition, I also need 8 guards who are top-grade Venerable Ones to guard against rascals.”
Before Li Daoyi went into seclusion, he had instructed He Shaoyu about this matter, so the head was already mentally prepared. After hearing Ou Yangming’s request, He Shaoyu said with a smile, “Sir, don’t worry. Leave everything to me.”
He Shaoyu was very efficient. The next day, he brought 8 inner sect disciples who were top-grade Venerable Ones, 6 of whom were men and 2 were women.
Compared to the direct disciples, the status of inner sect disciples was much lower. They were very restrained in front of the head and Ou Yangming.
“It’s your fortune to be by Master Ou’s side. You have to do your duty. You’ve left the sect, but I promise you the status of direct disciples,” He Shaoyu said in a deep voice.
The 8 disciples were delighted. They were guards, but they knew that this opportunity was not easy to come by. This could be seen from the envious eyes of the others.
Not long after Master Ou came to the Seven Stars Pavilion, his fame had spread to every corner of the sect. Other than those outer sect disciples who were not well-informed, there was probably no one who did not know of the legendary figure.
A luxurious flying boat soared into the sky. He Shaoyu personally led Ou Yangming and the 8 inner sect disciples down the mountain.
This time, everyone was very low-key. If it were any other time, not to mention He Shaoyu, even if any of the Seven Stars Pavilion’s elders came, they would still welcome them from afar. Even the governor would personally welcome them.
Nevertheless, Ou Yangming deliberately did not allow the head to show off.
He came here because he planned to settle down peacefully and bring Old Craftsman over. Having a reputation was good, but it would also add a lot of trouble.
The courtyard was massive. It could easily accommodate 200 people.
Before they arrived, the courtyard had been cleaned until it was spotless. The servants and maids lined up in 2 rows and said in unison, “Welcome, Master.”
“There’s no need for formalities,” Ou Yangming said. Then, he turned around and glanced at He Shaoyu, knowing that everything was arranged by him.
He Shaoyu said with a smile, “Master Ou, these people were carefully selected by my subordinates. Each of them is very diligent and can protect themselves.”
Starlight City was just an ordinary Soldier-level City, not much bigger than Beishan City. These people were Spiritualists and were just a little better than ordinary people.
The courtyard was huge. There were even gardens and artificial mountains. There was also a small stream that flowed past. The water gurgled, and it looked very artistic.

“This place is quite good.” Ou Yangming nodded. It could be seen that He Shaoyu had put in some effort in this.
He Shaoyu’s face was filled with joy. He said in a deep voice, “As long as you’re satisfied, Master Ou.”
In Starlight City, this place could be considered unique. After Old Craftsman and the others come up, they would be able to live very comfortably.
There was a courtyard, guards, servants, and maidservants. Now, he only needed a butler.
A butler was very important to a family. Some masters would hand over everything in the house to the butler. This person had to be a trusted aide.
He Shaoyu had also thought of this, so he did not do it on Ou Yangming’s behalf. If it was for some unimportant people, it would be fine. If a butler was arranged for the young fellow, he might have other thoughts.
Despite that, He Shaoyu was thinking too much. With Ou Yangming’s strength and identity, he really would not care about this.
After strolling around the courtyard, Ou Yangming walked out.
In the Seven Stars Pavilion.
A few elders surrounded the golden pills that were emitting mists. Now that Ou Yangming was far away, they did not need to be restrained.
“Can these pills really allow Venerable Ones to become Rulers?” An elder asked with a puzzled look.
“Didn’t Master Ou say that they can? He probably won’t lie to us.”
“This is too incredible. I’ve never seen this kind of pill in the Great Wide World. It should be created by Master Ou himself. Generally, alchemists would exaggerate the effects of the pills they created. These pills should only have the effect of increasing people’s probability of breaking through. They won’t be as miraculous as what Master Ou said.”
The group of elders discussed animatedly.
All of a sudden, someone suggested.
“Whether or not one can break through to become a Ruler, why don’t we give it a try? Old Ma, this pill was given to you by the head. You can ask your junior to give it a try. Let us broaden our horizons.”
Elder Ma had a hesitant look on his face. The effects of the pill were unclear. He did not dare to let his junior try it at will. He had many juniors but such a precious pill had to be given to someone close to him. If it was someone close to him…
In the end, Elder Ma was still worried about the effects of the pill. ‘What if he can’t break through, or if there are some powerful side effects?’
After all, this kind of pill was unprecedented in history, and they had never heard of it.
“Elder Ma, you’re not doubting Master Ou’s ability, are you? If you don’t dare to let your junior try it, I still have a nephew who’s a top-grade Venerable One, why not…”
Elder Ma’s face turned black, “Don’t even think about it!”
He had gone through great difficulty to get this pill from the head, how could he just give it to someone else?
That elder was just provoking him as everyone just wanted to see the specific ability of this pill. Was Master Ou exaggerating the effect or did this kind of pill really have such an incredible effect?
No one would know if they did not try.
Soon, a young man was brought over. This man looked somewhat similar to Elder Ma. He came over and hurriedly bowed to the crowd.
“Jiasheng.” Elder Ma looked at the young man and asked, “Master Ou has refined a pill that can allow a top-grade Venerable One to become a Ruler. Are you willing to give it a try?”
“Second Uncle, I’m willing to try!” The young man was ecstatic. He did not expect such a good thing to happen to him.
“You have to think carefully. The effect of this pill is only what Master Ou said. We haven’t tried it before, so we might have to take some risks…”
The young man thought for a moment then said decisively, “Second Uncle, I’m willing to try.”
He had been stuck as a Venerable One for more than 50 years, and there were no signs of a breakthrough. If he missed this opportunity, he might be stuck in the boundary for the rest of his life. Since it was Master Ou’s pill, even if it had no effect, it would not do much harm. Even if there was only a 10% chance, he wanted to take a gamble.
“Okay, in that case…” Elder Ma threw the pill over and said, “You can eat it.”
“Thank you, Second Uncle.”
The young man looked at the golden pill with excitement in his eyes. This was his hope of breaking through to become a Ruler.
Everyone else also had smiles on their faces. It seemed that this young man was not dumb. They had experienced how difficult it was to become a Ruler, so they naturally understood.
If this pill was effective, he would reach the heavens in one step.
Under everyone’s gaze, the young man carefully swallowed the medicinal pill into his stomach. Very quickly, a strange power bloomed from his body.
“Quickly sit and circulate your cultivation technique!” Elder Ma shouted.
The young man also felt the changes in his body. He hurriedly sat and circulated the cultivation technique he had cultivated. His expression was solemn. He felt that his body had become a huge furnace. It was as if he was being burned by flames.
Enduring the pain, the young man had noticed that the bottleneck that had not changed for decades had suddenly become loose.

Tales From the Terran Republic
We tried, you know… We really did. We tried so hard to be… better… We actually were better once. No, seriously. We were enlightened, generous, peaceful… Stop laughing! We were! We were peaceful, dammit! No, I’m not “tugging your winglets.” It’s true! Look, if you’re going to be like that, I’ll just push the launch button right now. See ya, don’t wanna be… Oh, you ARE interested after all? Ok. Hey, I just got word that your captain will be ok. We were able to get him into a med pod quick enough… Of course, we tried to save him. Just what sort of people do you think we are?... Now that was harsh… completely accurate, mind you… but harsh. Anyway, like I was saying, we were a prosperous, peaceful people, and war had been nothing but a distant memory for over five hundred years before it happened... Before Yellowstone happened! You don’t mean to tell me that you didn’t know about that… massive supervolcano? Blew the Hell out of our planet? Two years where nothing grew?… Anyway, that’s what started it, the Sol Wars… Oh, you have heard about those, huh? Well, needless to say, all that enlightened, generous, and peaceful didn’t exactly make it through the two years of complete famine and the wars that followed… Maybe it’s more accurate to say the enlightened, generous, and peaceful among us didn’t survive… (laughs)… You’re right. It does explain a lot, doesn’t it? Probably for the best, though. “Enlightened” and “peaceful” aren’t really all that useful out here in the galaxy at large, are they? That reminds me; thanks for the ship. You guys did a great job with this one. Oh, don’t be like that. At least it was us what got you and not one of the really messed groups like the Harlequin or the Black Angels. We’re just going to take your shit. It could be worse… trust me... Well, anyway, we loaded the life pods down with some good food, and you guys can drink alcohol, right? We put in a couple of fifths in there, too. It’s about forty percent ethanol, so be warned. Most species will want to dilute that. We’ll drop your wounded off somewhere safe once they are stable. Your fleet patrols this area fairly regularly, and we’ll drop the distress beacon right before we jump… Well, It’s been fun and no hard feelings, right?… Oh, you want to know some more? Sure. I got time to kill… Let me tell you about this one pirate and her crew. They’re Terran scum, but they are still… Why do we hate the Terrans? Hoo Boy… How much time you got? *** It’s the thirty-second century, and humanity is now part of a galactic civilization comprised of hundreds of worlds. Humanity has been savaged by natural disaster and war and has been fractured into several separate populations, all of which loathe each other (some things never change). This is a gritty drama-driven rambling tale that swings between action, drama, horror, and plenty of very, very dark comedy. Warning: contains adult situations, absolutely horrible language, bathroom humor, implied ultra-violence, actual ultra-violence, drugs, alcohol, pirates, mercs, xeno prostitutes, moral ambiguity, deranged AI's with identity issues, giant commie space slugs, and a poor little frog girl who just wants to sell coffee. Updates twice weekly on Tuesday and Friday. *** Note: This story can get rough. Those warning tags? They aren't for show. I recently received a review and as a result I want to make one thing clear. Portraying something is NOT endorsing it! Many "heavy" topics are touched upon and just because a character says or does something does not imply that the author feels the same way. I selected the "Anti-Hero Lead" and "Villainous Lead" tags for a reason. Rule number one of this story is "no good guys". A good description of the story is, "bad people doing bad things to worse people". There are a few good characters, here and there, but they are the exception to the rule. If you want a hard-hitting, exciting, gritty sci-fi story that doesn't pull any punches, or shies away from "difficult" concepts, welcome! If you are set on a pure and noble knight that runs around and slays conveniently evil monsters and rescues totally innocent princesses... or your sensibilities are easily offended... You're not going to be happy with this one.

The WereLionesses Mate
She was running out of breath, but that didn't matter, all that mattered was getting away from him and proving him wrong. Branches scraped her face and her arms, her body burning hot; but cold from her sweat as the wind blew over her skin. Her pants soaked from running through the streams, her shirt ripped to shreds around her stomach from very low hanging branches. Her hair, a tumbling fiery mess of tangles, and waves slipping through the ponytail she had quickly fastened trying to tame her wild hair. Running and crawling on the ground through the forest floor, trying to get back to the camp grounds so Whhooossshhhh! All of a sudden a giant gust of wind flew past her nearly lifting her off the ground and throwing her into a tree. Where in the world did that wind come from? She thought, but she kept running like it had never happened. She jumped over a fallen log, ignoring the fact that she almost fell in the process. She zoomed past all the trees and sprinted over the roots coming out of the ground. She rounded another tree coming to a sudden halt at seeing him standing there with a drink in his hand laughing and joking. She stood there wondering how in the world he could have beaten her here; He looked at her then, He looked, well, handsome, his faced was clean shaven and his button up shirt was all unbuttoned minus the three at the bottom. She could still visibly see his bronze chest and the top of his ripped-hard abs. He walked over to her and smiled, showing all of his teeth, the smile reaching his eyes. His eyes were dark and stormy, their color was usually a nice honey brown but now his eyes looked mid-night black. They looked like they could kill a man at eighty paces, but could sweep a woman off her feet at the same time.
