Chapter 1109: 1109
The moonlight in the sky looked even paler, and the air was filled with murderous intent.
Luo Yang and the young man from the Golden Crows looked at each other. They could see the shock in each other’s eyes.
“How could it be? How could he be so strong?”
Luo Yang looked at the old man who stood proudly on the ground, and a look of disbelief flashed across his eyes.
Behind Luo Yang, corpses were strewn all over the ground, wailing in pain. Half of the powerhouses of the 2 clans who were not yet Rulers were either killed or injured by that step. Their blood surged like a red river.
Just one move was enough to make them feel despair. Du Xie had used his strength to tell those who were Venerable Ones that they would only be cannon fodders here.
.
The powerhouses from the Golden Crows were all Rulers. Their situation was slightly better, but they were still under tremendous pressure.
Fortunately, after Du Xie killed 2 emperors and many Venerable Ones, he stopped and did not continue killing.
“Something’s not right!” Luo Yang was observing the Shaman Tribe. His pair of pitch-black pupils flickered as if he had understood something.
“Brother Luo, did you discover something?” The young man from the Golden Crows turned his head.
All sorts of thoughts flitted through Luo Yang’s mind. After a while, his expression turned grave as he said with certainty, “That was just an accident. The clan master of the Ancient Shamans isn’t as powerful as we thought.”
His voice was not loud, hence only the people around him heard it.
The people from the Golden Crows were puzzled. They did not understand where Luo Yang got the answer from.
Jin Hai was the young man of the Golden Crow Clan. His status was the same as Luo Yang’s in the Qiongqi Clan. He was a God-favored one from the Golden Crows. His voice was low and deep as he responded, “How’s that possible? Just now, he attacked ferociously and instantly killed 2 Rulers. With his strength, only a few people in the Great Wide World can match him.”
‘Brother Jin Hai, you’re wrong. Think about it. If he really has such strength, why would he need to activate the formation and hide inside? I’m certain that he must’ve used some secret technique to forcefully increase his strength just now to intimidate us. Otherwise, why would he suddenly stop? Do you think that the Shamans would still have mercy on us?’ Luo Yang sent a voice transmission, the Qiongqis were very cunning. Although Luo Yang looked decent on the surface, it was hard for him to change his nature. He had many thoughts in his mind.
Jin Hai’s eyes lit up. He looked at the old man below and nodded slightly, then he sent a voice transmission to Luo Yang, ‘We’ve come knocking on their door. As long as the Ancient Shamans aren’t fools, they’ll definitely exterminate us. What you said makes some sense.’

His malicious gaze swept across the giants below. If that was the case, they still stood a chance. They were almost deceived by the old man.
“Lingxuan, don’t worry. With me around, no one can harm you.” Du Xie patted the young boy beside him. He took a deep breath and straightened his body again.
His powerful muscles trembled slightly, and the air could not help but shake.
Du Xie looked at the sky and uttered in a deep voice, “All of you, Scram.”
His voice was like thunder, causing fear to arise in people’s hearts involuntarily. If it was not for Luo Yang’s guess just now, they would have fled in a sorry state. Now…
Luo Yang and Jin Hai looked at each other, and there was a hint of joy in their eyes. If Du Xie wanted them to leave, would that not confirm Luo Yang’s guess? They figured that the old man’s strength could only burst out once. If they retreated at this time, would they not be giving him a chance to recuperate?
At this moment, Luo Yang’s gaze was dark. He took a step forward, and the corners of his lips curled up slightly, revealing a dangerous glint. “Clan Master of the Shaman Tribe, we’ve come from afar. Now, you want us to leave so easily? That’s not very good, is it?”
“What do you want?” Du Xie raised his head, and a majestic aura surged out. Luo Yang’s face was slightly pale. Nonetheless, he was a Ruler, after all. After adjusting his emotions slightly, he managed to calm down.
Luo Yang laughed out loud. “You should be well aware of our objective, Clan Master. The last time I came to seek an audience with you, you rejected me. Wasn’t it because you knew my objective?”
“You want to remove the restriction from the natal oath!” Du Xie’s body trembled as anger flashed in his eyes. The other members of the Ancient Shamans also had grave expressions.
The natal oath was still present, and it was still acknowledged by the heavenly axiom, but the Qiongqis and the Golden Crows had brought their men to kill their way to the Shaman Tribe. If they did not have the restriction from the oath, they would have immediately gone all out and annihilated the Shaman Tribe.
Furthermore, the oath was the blood and sweat of the Shaman Tribe’s ancestors. If they were to remove it, it would be a great disrespect to their ancestors. They would be unfilial descendants destroying the inheritance left behind by their ancestors.
“That’s not all. We came here for 2 purposes. The first is to undo the oath on us, and the second is to get you to join our alliance so that we can make preparations for the slaughter in the Great Wide World in the future.” Luo Yang said with a light smile on his face, and his voice was calm as he spoke.
Du Xie looked at Luo Yang and Jin Hai furiously. The fire in his chest burned as if he wanted to burn the world to ashes. He looked at Luo Yang and said coldly, “That’s impossible. I would never agree to your request.”

There was still some room for negotiation for the first request, but the second request was absolutely impossible. The Ancient Shamans had declined and were seriously lacking in strength. Hence, they would be courting death by rashly joining an alliance to throw themselves into a great war. Even if the many powerhouses of the Dragons and the Phoenixes in the Great Wide World would not destroy them, the Qiongqis and other races in the alliance would eat them up.
Du Xie was not stupid, and neither was the Shamans. No one would be willing to do such a thing. Besides, the old man was already tired of fighting. He only hoped that in this boundless universe, there would be a place for their incomplete tribe to settle down.
Luo Yang curled the corner of his mouth. Seeing how Du Xie acted, he knew his guess was correct. He sneered. “Since that’s the case, don’t blame us for being impolite. I want to see if you can still use that move from before.”
With that, Luo Yang focused. He looked down and uttered, “Kill!”
Behind Luo Yang, 3 Rulers from the Qiongqis stepped out. They held ancient sharp sabers in their hands and roared.
The clothes on their bodies exploded, revealing their strong skin. Pitch-black tentacles grew out of their heads, and a pair of bat-like wings grew out of their backs. Their expressions were ferocious, and their fangs flickered with cold lights in the air.
If it was anyone else, they would be shocked to see such a scene. However, everyone present was already used to it. This was the true form of the Qiongqis. As divine beasts born from the chaos, they naturally had their unique appearances.
Seeing the 3 Rulers transform, the shamans looked as if they were facing great enemies. Du Xie’s expression was slightly ghastly. Just now, he had indeed used a secret technique to decisively attack and kill the 2 most powerful enemies easily, but he had paid a huge price for that. At the very least, he would not be able to do the same thing again in his state at the moment. He was a top-grade Ruler. When facing ordinary Rulers, he could only take on 3 to 5 of them at most.
The 3 people in the sky had already charged over. Their black sharp sabers carried hellish flames as they charged toward the side of Du Xie.
At this time, the 3 star marks on the head of a burly man beside Du Xie flickered. He moved his body and intended to attack but was blocked by Du Xie.
“Protect our people well. They’re not my match.”
The burly man looked troubled but in the end, he chose to listen to the clan master’s order. Du Xie’s status in the clan was very high, and almost all the Ancient Shamans had received his teachings.
Du Xie stomped on the ground, and the ground rumbled as if the world had been turned upside down. He rose from the ground and charged towards the 3 people in the sky.
Du Xie clenched his fist and struck out fiercely toward the sky. At the same time, the 3 Rulers also attacked. 3 rays of saber-light descended from the sky, bringing with them vast and boundless auras as they slashed downward. Each of them could destroy a small world.
The Reincarnation Fist and the saber-lights clashed together. A huge stream of air suddenly exploded from the point of intersection. Light waves spread out in all directions. There were no clouds in 5,000 kilometers. The air was quiet, and even the stars in the sky dimmed a little.
Du Xie’s footsteps paused, then he stood steadily in the void. The 3 powerhouses from the Qiongqis, however, retreated a kilometer away. It took them half a day to stabilize their bodies.
It was obvious who was superior.
Luo Yang and Jin Hai’s eyes were filled with shock. Du Xie did not use any secret technique this time, but his strength was still terrifying. The combined attack of the 3 Rulers could not even block his punch.
Indeed, Du Xie was a top-grade Ruler. Even the dragon and phoenix powerhouses who had comprehended the laws were not his match.
That said, it was not impossible to defeat him.
Luo Yang’s sharp senses discovered that the aura on Du Xie’s body had already changed. That secret technique from before must have caused great damage to the old man’s body. Now that he was forced into a battle, there was sufficient time. Luo Yang could definitely drag him to death.
The 3 powerhouses from the Qiongqi Clan had savage looks on their faces. The 3 of them had been beaten back by one person. If this was spread to the other members of their clan, they would be laughed at by others. Only by killing this old monster would they be able to wash away the humiliation.
As such, the black sharp sabers flashed again. This time, the 3 of them charged over from 3 different directions. Rulers had sharp senses. They discovered that the old man’s Reincarnation Fist had the greatest lethality against an enemy in a single spot, so they split up.
“Die!” Du Xie also shouted coldly. He took a step forward and chose a target. He clenched his fist and smashed. This punch could dim the stars.
Though it was 1 against 3, DuXie was not afraid at all. In just a moment, they had exchanged 100 moves. While Du Xie’s aura was much weaker than before, the 3 Rulers were even more miserable. Each of them was forcefully holding on, and they had very little chance to fight back.
Seeing this, a cold light flashed across the corner of Luo Yang’s mouth. The wings on his back moved slightly, and he disappeared into the void.
The next second, a fearsome and boundless sword Qi rushed toward Du Xie’s chest.

I believe I have reached a point where my limited skills cannot improve the work or make any more corrections. It is very difficult to show this work, but if I do not, I fear I will never improve and learn. So here it is. To anyone who lends the time to read all of this and any of my chapters. Thank you.

# The Gemstone of Ominium 2 - Pain
Her unfazed expression didn’t even waver when the blade of her thin sword pierced one of the men all the way through armor, flesh and bone, a gurgling sound bubbling from his throat. With a kick she mercilessly pushed him back, freeing her blade, and glanced down at his dead body sprawled at her feet, confirming that death had indeed taken him. Stepping over the dead man’s body as if it were a mere pebble on her path, she raised her head just in time to see her second attacker lunge at her and, nimbly turning on her heels, she slit his throat. A spray of hot, sticky blood hit her left cheek and slid down her neck, but she didn’t even blink. The scent of the fresh blood filled her nostrils and her brain like an inebriating drug and she stepped forward once again, lightly turning to one side to avoid being decapitated and quickly returning the favor. One by one the men kept falling as she advanced, victims of her lethal, almost mechanical movements, as if she’d been born with a sword in hand and ready to kill …* This is a direct continuation of Book 1 - Denial. You CANNOT start reading Book 2 without reading Book 1, since the story won't make any sense! Enjoy ^_^*

The Swarm
Anthony had been looking forward to playing the hottest new virtual reality game. When he put the VR helmet on he was met with a prompt asking him if he wanted to take a test to become a swarm knight. Thinking that this was one of the classes in the game he accepted. Instead of finding himself in the game, Anthony found that he was transported to a different planet. A planet where he would learn the greater truth of the universe. Everything was based on magic in the universe. Except that magic was based on nanorobots, called the swarm, that had been created through highly advanced technology. Genetics determined the access level and the amount of control that someone could wield over the swarm, and therefore their status in this society. Long ago Earth had been cutoff from the swarm. Now that it had been rediscovered, Earth would be reintegrated into the swarm. Unfortunately when that happened all the current technology on Earth would fail and be replaced with the ability to use magic. In effect, it would be the system apocalypse. As someone able to control the swarm, Anthony found himself in the unique position to influence how Earth was reintegrated into the swarm. Perhaps he could change things enough to save most of the people on Earth. But first he would have to learn how to control the swarm and become one of the leaders in the society he found himself in. Warning: If this fiction was a movie I'd rate it somewhere between PG-13 and R for occasional scenes of violence, gore, and nudity.
