No Chapter 575 because it’s just a regugitation of the last two chapters.
Chapter 576: Adidas’ Plans.
In Adidas Headquarter in Germany,
President Dougen and the others couldn’t help but shake their heads and smiled bitterly.
On the contract they agreed with Chen Huan, Adidas’ contract with him would turn to a lifetime contract if he proved the Fermat’s Theorem during the duration of the contract.
They thought it would be done when the contract reached close to ten years but they didn’t expect Chen Huan to declare he proved the Fermat’s Theorem just one month after signing the contract.
The clause with the Fermat’s Theorem was proposed by Watnard, the general manager of the North America Branch, it wasn’t asked by Chen Huan.
Had it not been for Watnard being a long time employee of the company as well as a loyal and meticulous employee on top of having no contact with Chen Huan in the past, the executive would have thought they colluded together to scam them a lifetime contract.
“What should we do?” Dougen asked the executive as well as Watnard who participated via video conference.
“Actually, I think this is a good thing!” Schudler, the director of operation who was a bit reluctant before, said, “For our spokesperson to be a 17 years old mathematician is a very nice trait! He would still be the same 10 years later and even be relevant after 20 years!”
“Hmm, if we take the opportunity to continue to launch products related to him in the next few years, it should still be a very profitable business.” Kroos said with a smile, “We may even catch up to Nike with the promotion! Aren’t they bragging about how great they are? Do they have a spokesperson that can solve a world-class conjecture?”
“This is a good point for advertising.” Dougen smiled.
Although Adidas was a sport’s product, didn’t the parents who bought those products for their children also want their children to be smart and become great scientists?
They could unconsciously feel that their children would learn from Chen Huan when they saw him and think about Fermat’s Theorem.
There were many sports celebrities but they were just not as valuable as Chen Huan!
Watnard was relieved to see this.
He also didn’t expect Chen Huan to do this.
Chen Huan knew it during the contract negotiation but acted dumb and let him dug himself a hole before jumping into it.

Then he thought this pit wasn’t dug by Chen Huan but by Watnard himself.
He really felt depressed!
But he was less disappointed when he heard his president and colleague discuss it.
Because in any case, this was the time where Chen Huan where the most hyped and proving the Fermat’s Theorem was just the icing on the cake.
“Watnard, is it time for us to reveal the terms of the contract?” Dougen surprisingly asked him.
“It’s not the time yet.” Watnard adjusted his focus and said, “Chen Huan only just sent his proof process but it doesn’t mean Fermat’s Theorem has been proven yet. A lot of mathematicians are needed to review his proposition.”
“According to my source, there are six teams of mathematicians in the world to carefully review each detail of his paper.”
“Only when the paper passed the review from all of them, then Chen Huan would officially be right and solve this hundred years conjecture.”
“Is Chen Huan sure of his paper?” Dougen frowned, “Or this is just a sham?”
“According to what my friends in the mathematical world say, Chen Huan has always been a cautious person in academics.” Watnard said, “Moreover, he had proposed many conjectures that would help in the proof process of Fermat’s Theorem before so everyone thinks it is likely that he is right.”
“Great then, it would be embarrassing if we rejoiced ahead of time.” Dougen nodded.
“How’s the preparation with Chen Huan’s sneakers?” Dougen turned toward his vice-president Kroos.
Kroos was in charge of R&D and production.
Many new technologies from Adidas came from his side.
Since they signed Chen Huan partly due to his basketball career, production of Chen Huan’s basketball shoes was a priority for them.
“We already did all kinds of data analyses as well as the design for it so production has begun.” Kroos Said, “The products are expected to be done at the end of May at the latest.
“It’s too slow.” Dougen said, “The Finals will be over in mid- June so if Chen Huan doesn’t have his own shoes before the game is over, wouldn’t that be a wasted opportunity?”
“But this can’t be hurried.” Kroos had a bitter smile, “It’s already plenty fast to be able to complete the design and production in a month. We can only make a few pairs of shoes for Chen Huan and mass production would have to wait until July and we’ll be good in August!”

“Wouldn’t this become Chen Huan’s only line of sneakers to become valuable as collectible?” Schudler couldn’t help but smile bitterly.
“Who would say otherwise?” Dougen sighed, “There is still not enough time, it wouldn’t be a problem if Chen Huan played for two or three more years!”
They fell silent for a moment.
In the end, it was impossible for them to get the hundreds of millions of dollars from the basketball markets.
After a while, Dougen put aside those thoughts and asked, “How’s Chen Huan special sports T-shirt coming along?”
“Chen Huan already gave his approval and we already sent the order to start the production in our production line in China. The first shipment is expected to be shipped out within 5 days to the US since our factories in China started to produce.” Watnard said, “We have prepared for 5 million shirts of various sizes and the pre-order price is 50 dollars. We can increase the production at any time.”
A normal set of shirts in the US was 50 dollars so 50 dollars for a single shirt wasn’t cheap.
“Hmm, let’s increase it to 10 million pieces! Have them produce it right away!” Dougen said solemnly, “Distribute 2 million shirts to Europe, 5 million to America and 3 million to Asia…I know there are many fans of Chen Huan in Japan and Korea.”
“Got it!”
Watnard was overjoyed.
The president’s optimism toward this situation proved his good judgment.
Chen Huan had a lot of fans in Korea and Japan due to starring in Love Letter.
Everyone there loved the ‘most handsome teenager’
But this time, Chen Huan set a storm in the world due to his performance in the NBA.
Chen Huan was Asian, an Asian who was able to crush people in a sport dominated by blacks and whites such as basketball. So many Asians were filled with admiration toward Chen Huan.
Especially the Japanese and Korean who loved America’s culture so they worshipped Chen Huan like a god.
Every game with Chen Huan in had high ratings across those two countries.
Jiang Zhenkun was feeling regret of not putting 30 or 50 million more to buy the whole broadcast right across Asia, then they would truly rise up!
“When is it scheduled to go on sale?” Kroos asked.
“Whenever the Lakers beat the Warriors to go to the finals or whether Chen Huan’s proving Fermat’s Theorem had been confirmed. It will immediately put on sale the moment one of those conditions is met.” Watnard told them his plan.
“Hmm, very good.” Dougen was pleased with his efficiency.
However, Schudler remembered another matter, “The current version of Chen Huan’s T- Shirt is only about basketball, sport and China, it has nothing to do with Fermat’s Theorem. Isn’t that a wasted opportunity?”
Watnard was taken aback, “What do you propose then?”
“Let’s do it this then!” Schudler was very experienced, “Print a new version with some symbols from Fermat’s Theorem on the back and then Chen Huan’s name, date of proof, results etc… this would be equivalent of a commemorative item! Wouldn’t people buy this kind of item even if it’s pricier?”
The eyes of the people present lit up at that.
Right!
Why didn’t I think of this!?
Compared to the ancient design, this design to commemorate Chen Huan’s achievements is the real deal!
It’s a rare occurrence even in a century!
A T-shirt like that was guaranteed to have great sales as people would want to get it as a souvenir!
“Right! Great idea Schudler!” Dougen couldn’t help but clap his hands in admiration.
Schudler himself was also very happy with his inspiration.
He went on to add, “But the T-shirt can’t be produced too early. We must prepare everything first and wait for the mathematicians to confirm that Chen Huan indeed proved Fermat’s Theorem before we put the time and name on the T-shirt! Only like that, there would be commemorative value! Otherwise, it would become a joke!”
“True.” Kroos nodded, “Should we prepare an additional 3 million shirts?”
“Yes!” Dougen said, “It will depend on the situation and if there’s a lot of sales, it shouldn’t be any problem for our productivity and raw material gathering in China, right?”
He asked Kroos who was in charge of the production side of the company.
“Not a problem, Chinese efficiency for easy industrial products is definitely any worse than us Germans.” Kroos said.
“Alright, let’s do it!” Dougen made a decision, “Everyone, do a good job and have the advertisement start building the hype. We must take hold of this opportunity and fight for our world spot!”
“Yes!”
Everyone replied solemnly.
Chen Huan signed a full deal.
If they were successful in this endeavor, it would greatly offset their loss on the basketball side.
They would be able to get a fortune by just selling the clothes and other products!
