“You’re on! Then the rules are yours to set. No matter how far it is, I won’t lose to you!” Yi Tianyun said confidently.
“It’s supposed to be around ten miles from here! You will lose if you’re apart ten feet or more from me. How about that?” the mermaid asked challengingly.
“Ten miles? It’s that far? I thought it would just be a mile away! But you don’t have to mind me that much. If it’s that far, I can possibly outswim you!” Yi Tianyun said playfully.
“Are you a powerful cultivator? I have heard that human was quite powerful. If you are really that powerful, I may be in trouble! But if you win, the delicious food is yours! I hope you are really able to keep up, now, let’s go!” the mermaid said with a smile on her face.

She immediately turned around and started to swim like a bullet. The water didn’t seem to cause so much of a resistance as she swam. In the blink of an eye, the mermaid has swum a hundred feet away. No wonder she was so confident that she would come out on top!

“I am quite fast! But I know that you are holding back. You know that I won’t fall behind in speed now, so why don’t we go a little bit faster?” Yi Tianyun said playfully.
“Well, you said it now! Don’t blame me if you get lost out here! But remember, if you lose sight of me, don’t move! I will come back for you!” the mermaid said while winking her eyes playfully before she sped off in a straight line.
This time, she was far faster than before. Her speed was so fast that a Spirit Core cultivator would have a hard time catching up to her. Again, Yi Tianyun knew why she was so confident before! It was clear that a normal human cultivator wouldn’t be able to catch up to her.
This time, she didn’t look back as she kept getting faster and faster! She rushed out towards the distance without a care. It looks like that she really wanted to win!

“Wha.. how?” the mermaid asked confusedly. “How can you keep up with me? That is my ultimate speed! Even if you are Human Race’s expert, you shouldn’t be able to keep up with me!” the mermaid said confusedly. But she knew that it was her loss!
“You are talking about an average expert, but I am not an average expert!” Yi Tianyun said casually. It was quite good to exercise like this once in a while as it would distract him from the problem in the future, but he was fine now as they could arrive at his target location quicker!
“Well, I lost for now!” the mermaid said in frustration. She didn’t expect Yi Tianyun would be so fast that he could easily keep up with her.

“It is the end of the trip now. We would continue tomorrow. I have a place to stay around here for tonight!” the mermaid said with a pout on her face.
Yi Tianyun smiled. Since she was lost, she didn’t say much and quickly returned to her house. The next day, she quickly led Yi Tianyun to Scarlet Monster Clan’s area!
They were talking the entire way casually. He learned that the mermaid’s name was Lan Qingling. She used to live in the sea area near Devil Cloud Island, but because of Scarlet Monster Clan, she and her people had no choice but to change location.
