Will let out a contented sigh as he leaned over and picked up his jacket. His button up shirt had been undone on the top two buttons, and his tie was loosened almost completely.
"Have fun?" The smiling man asked as he stood near the human.
"Haha!" Will laughed heartily. "You know me. I just enjoy the quality time with you guys."
Gzemnid grinned as she floated overhead of Will. "Hopefully this will tide you over for some time. I mean, two events so close together? Quite a rare treat."
"I mean, I'd prefer consistency over a burst of time, but I'll take any time with you guys. You know?" Will explained.
"Yes. Yes." The smiling man nodded. "You've made yourself quite clear. But, our time here has run short."
"Our time has run short?" Stoor asked. "What is it, a midget!"
The giant worm didn't even pause before he started to wheeze out a raspy laugh.
"Dude, chill it with that," Adargon said as he wiped the sweat from his brow. "You know that's offensive or whatever. You're supposed to say little person."
"What?" Stoor scoffed. "Since when?"
"It's been ages. A lot of people have been up in arms about it for a while," Adargon continued. "And reasonable people have changed words because it's the polite thing to do."
"Harumph," Stoor scoffed. "Preposterous. You can't just change language like that!"
"Come on man, that happens all the time." Adargon said.
"He's quite right, you know." Gzemnid agreed. "Most insults were not originally meant to be that way. Culture just changed the word into a derogatory term."
Will had a genuine smile on as his friends argued over the meaning of words. A hand settled on his shoulder and he looked up to see the smiling man with a big grin right beside him.

"Savor this memory little ant." The smiling man asked. "Things are changing, and it's about time we made our ways home."
"I suppose if we have to." Will sighed. "But, we could always just go do something else after this? Maybe head out for some food, or something?"
"Come on man," Adargon said as he shook his head. "You know how bust we are."
"Right...of course," Will sighed.
"We will meet again." The smiling man assured him. "After all, not even death could stop us reuniting this last time."
Black smoke surrounded the smiling man first, and then the others became engulfed in similar smoke. As the smoke began to fade away, each of them were suddenly gone completely. With no trace of them left behind.
Just the karaoke machine sat behind waiting for the next performer to pick a song.

[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge - Editathon in progress ] Lexie Archer's life needs a reboot. And the remote village of Albatross Bay, where she's just inherited a surprise shack from her famous [Mystery Writer] aunt, seems like the perfect place! But the reality of island farming is different than Lexie imagined, and while she waits for her crops to come in, she needs to make ends meet. When the Albatross Bay Adventurer's Guild puts up a quest on the local quest board to help promote their new training dungeon and attract adventurers to the small village, Lexie jumps at the chance to put some of her old [Junior Publicity Assistant] skills to good use. But when an adventurer is murdered in the dungeon, jeopardizing everything the town has worked for, Lexie and her [Dungeon Liaison], the kobold Przemyslaw have to solve the murder and prove the monsters aren't responsible before their dungeon license gets revoked. Inspired by Stardew Valley, Murder, She Wrote, and Welcome to Nightvale, Murder on the Minecart Express contains light LitRPG, village slice-of-life, quirky locals, a kobold bakery, and murder most foul. Seven of the new-found planets are full of treasures and rare resources. The so-called Spirit Realms. Because the Spirit Realms are too massive for the Spirit Pagoda to explore and exploit on their own, they opened the Spirit Realms for everyone to live, train, and work in. Yet unknown creatures inhabit the Spirit Realms. Everyone who goes there has to set their life on the line. But Yan Hao has no choice than to enter the Spirit Realms and fight, because the Phoenix Coin, which is located there, is the only thing which can save his ill sister.

Incant - A Coven in Atlanta (Short Story)
Sisters are offered the opportunity of a lifetime to make important business connections and acquire an expedited education over the summer at a prestigious and secretive academy for witches. Curiosities held on campus are certainly more than either of them bargain for. I plan to update this story every Wednesday. Each update will hold one chapter. This is the second short story within the Incant universe. Recent work developments have made the release of my latest chapter a bit of an issue. WIll release as soon as possible.
