Just thinking about the stats definitely made this one seem pretty good.

Although I still wanted Mumyo to fight in the front.

The skill slot let me give it another attribute.

There were four options: Fire, Wind, Earth, and Water.

Thinking about my Summon Monster lineup, I had a lot of vanguards.

With more skills, Mumyo could easily fight in both the front and the back.

Mumyo’s hammer did have a detrimental effect on magic, but I suppose that went for a lot of other players too.

I was just grateful that Mumyo’s crab armour wouldn’t get in the way.

I handed Mumyo my Staff of Torture.

I could make another one over lunch.

I still had my tonfas, after all.

Great.

Let’s get Mumyo to perform.

As expected, I didn’t have the freedom to just sit and watch with Deva Kings.

I had to look for a pair of Gozu and Mezu.

I knew there were two spawn points at the end of the tunnel.

I started heading towards them.

I only knew of two spawn points at the end of the tunnel.

But the pair did not spawn at one of the points.

Looked like someone else had already taken them out that day.

The other point was fine, though.

I started by putting【Disassembly】in reserve.

I only used strengthening spells on myself.

I wanted to know Mumyo’s base strength.

I didn’t give out any special instructions.

Now…

What’s going to happen?

Before my eyes was Jericho, who was holding the Mezu’s head in one hand and fighting the Gozu with the other.

It was hard to look at.

At a basic level, their fighting style did not change.

Mumyo was still fighting like usual, with the Hammer of Roars and a buckler.

Well, Jericho and Creep were doing a big part of the fighting too…

But there was something new too.

Some kind of special attack.

The status condition did cause it to trip and fall over though, which let Mumyo do a lot more damage with a hammer.

Well, that’s one way to go about it.

Mumyo took some damage, but the fight ended without any issues.

Mumyo could recover the damage pretty easily.

I was looking forward to having Mumyo contribute in the same way Goki could.

I guess I could try and fight a pair of Deva Kings? No… Deva Emperors?

I left the Relay Portal and went out into the nearest hall.

Someone was fighting a pair of Deva Kings.

I ignored them.

I went to the next-closest spawn point.

There was nobody there.

No players in sight.

Good.

I could fight in peace.

I fully used all my spells to strengthen myself before I took on the challenge.

I didn’t hesitate to use【Water Power】.

Why were they so weak!?

I was genuinely confused.

To face tougher Gozu and Mezu, I knew I had to get rid of【Disassembly】and pick up the item drops.

But it seemed like a different system for the Deva Kings.

Maybe it was completely random?

Was their maximum level based on my own level?

That would make sense…

I took care of the A-gyo using a triangle choke.

I didn’t know how to describe it, but…

The difference in strength was too big!

To be honest, I really didn’t need【Gravity Mail】or【Water Power】.

What about the Un-gyo?

It was an easy victory on that front too.

I didn’t know how to describe it either.

All I could say was that I had gone and wasted some MP.

I got a Strange Salt (Holy) from it.

That was fine, but it would’ve been nice to get some more value for all my spells.

But conveniently, there was nobody else around.

Nobody else was looking to fight some Deva Kings.

What was with the massive difference!?

I wanted to file a complaint to the GMs.

I managed to win somehow, so all’s well that ends well…

But I would love to have more of a clue as to what their levels were going to be.

It was really getting quite frustrating.

My HP bar was down to half.

Jericho took quite a bit of damage too, about 30% of his HP bar.

Mumyo took half of his HP bar too, but I wasn’t too concerned.

Mumyo could recover that naturally, after all.

Creep had only 30% left, so I first used a recovery spell to fix that.

It was about time for me to take a break.

For the time being, I felt like sticking to Gozu and Mezu was the wiser choice.
