The Summoner is Going Chapter 138 part1
Translation: DarkHeartedAlchemist
Editor: Weasalopes
Today I started from the meadow where Glowplants, Olives and Cotton were planted.
From early morning it was nothing but tough battles.
Luckily, my MP bar hasn’t decreased all that much.
Everything can be easily regained while I’ll be riding on Zangetsu’s back.
It’s a shame, really.
I was hoping for some challenge that would allow me to go wild from the very beginning.
With Rig, Ninetails and Heather together on Zangetsu’s back with me we make our way forward.
Normally it we would be too heavy for him to lift all of us and maintain a proper speed, but since I strengthened him with my spells there is no problem.
DEX, AGI, STR, VIT.
I strengthened each and every one of his stats, as a result of which he suffered no penalty for carrying this many people.
This went on for some time.
We were almost forced into a few fights along the way, but with Zangetsu’s current speed we’ve outrun the enemies before they were able to close in on us.
Why haven’t I thought about this strategy sooner? It would allow me to save so much of my time during the early days of my adventuring.
We’ve arrived at the southern cave much earlier than usual.
My MP is now completely regenerated.
On our way we passed by how3 many parties, exactly?
Well, no matter.
I want to continue from where we left off yesterday.
We will hunt for Gozu and Mezu, no, Higher Gozu and Higher Mezu.
Yesterday we were able to fight them when they were at Lv7, so I want to see how well can we do today.
Everyone except for Rig is called back.
I summoned Volff, Jean, Senki and Tigris.
Senki is wearing his new equipment.
I wonder how effective it’s going to be?
Also, I have no idea if it will go well with Rig, so let’s pair him up with Tigris for now.
All right, now we can let our hunt begin!
But first I have to remember to keep the 【Dismantle】 skill turned off.
First I made my way towards the path that led to the Relay Portal. I wanted to check if Higher Gozu and Higher Mezu that spawned here were already defeated by some other party that logged out near the portal earlier today.
If I just waltzed here unprepared I would have walked straight into a trap.
Jean picked up the presence of two Youkai with her senses.
Higher Gozu Lv8
Youkai, Target Subjugation Active
Battle Position: Ground Light Attribute
Higher Mezu Lv8
Youkai, Target Subjugation Active
Battle Position: Ground Dark attribute
Huh? Their Class did not change?
Why should I care about that anyway?
It does not change anything about the way I hunt them.
I enhance everyone with spells and prepared to attack.
Volff and Jean go first and the rest of us follows closely after them.
What ensued was one heck of a wild battle.
The fastest way to win this would be to afflict both of them with Defense Fall and Offense Fall.
But of course it won’t be so easy.
This time Rig was not attached to Senki to act as his protection, so he was at a disadvantage.
But he still has his superior speed.
Volff, Jean, Tigris and are also attacking one after another.
The damage they managed to inflict was good, but I notice that it was gradually recovering.
Looks like this fight is getting more and more dangerous by the minute.
Higher Gozu’s weapon packs a serious punch now, so it would be good if we managed to disarm him to avoid getting bitch-slapped to death.
But how are we supposed to do that when even when I strike them with my Bagh Nakh-clad fists it looks like its damage-dealing potential has been reduced.
In terms of raw power, looks like Senki is going to be our best bet here.
Both of them are wearing only a simple waistcloth, nothing more.
It’s quite manly, but also kind of unfair considering the fact that their defense is apparently higher than our spell-reinforced one.
Speaking of manly.
I have a Plains Lion’s Bagh Nakh in my right hand and a Snow Leopard’s Bagh Nakh in my left.
Higher Mezu still has his usual Tin Staff.
He has superior reach, but I memorized all of his attack patterns and his habits.
The movement of his muscles.
His center of gravity.
The positioning of his feet on the ground.
His forward-facing posture.
I can picture all of those elements in my mind without even looking at him.
By just glancing at his arms I am able to predict how is he going to swing his weapon.
Because the muscles are always bare and brutally honest. They can hide nothing from the eye of a keen observer.
He’s going to hit me with a counter after my own attack while he’ll also throw a kick at me.
It won’t work of course, since I’ll be able to just roll over in time.
It all went exactly as I predicted.
Looks like the only thing that was different about this guy now was his name and higher level. Everything else was literally the same as with ordinary Mezu.
Due to the Snow Leopard’s Bagh Nakh’s effect of increased agility I was able to dodge his every attack while I was hitting him with my own in this peculiar dance of cat and mouse.
As such, the damage I was doing to him was increasing with every subsequent blow that managed to land on him.
Finally I managed to knock him off balance with an attack to the side of the knee, after which I dug my claws in his throat and watched as his health finally dropped to 0.
Looking to the side, my Monster Summons were just about done with Higher Gozu as well.
《Monster Summons『Volff』Level Up!》
《Please add 1 Bonus Point to increase the value of the statistic of your choosing!》
It’s been quite some time since Volff had a Level Up. Could it be that it becomes increasingly harder the higher the level of the monster is?
The stat that got increased was SPI, so I will balance that out with INT.
Volff Gray Wolf Lv3 → Lv4 (↑ 1)

So how is Senki?
As expected, he took some damage during hat fight, but not as much as I initially thought.
The health that he lost continues to recover even now.
That’s actually kinda scary.
His appearance is frightening enough as it is and now his abilities became exactly the same.
It’s good that he is on my side.
We’re going further into the cave.
No Higher Gozus or Higher Mezus were present at the next spawn point.
They were probably defeated earlier.
The map shows that there are 2 more spawn points at the other side of the Relay Portal, but I cannot go there just yet.
Should I give up and go hunt for them in some other place?
I arrive at the main cave.
There are a lot of Orcs here today.

Really? Orcs and Orc Leaders are not enough to satisfy me.
Even with my 【Dismantle】 turned off I managed to get a lot of gems from them. This made me really happy.
【Material item】 Tsavorite Quality C + Rarity 3 Weight 0+
Green garnet. Slightly more valuable than red garnet.
Popular and valued for its capabilities to store magic.
On the one hand this is a good haul, but on the other this makes me worried.
Should I really be using all of my luck up in such a place?
After all, there’s no telling when my good fortune for drops will end. This world really is so unfair.
Another pair of Higher Gozu and Higher Mezu was present near the entrance to the main cave.
Higher Gozu Lv9
Youkai, Target Subjugation Active
Battle Position: Ground Light Attribute
Higher Mezu Lv9
Youkai, Target Subjugation Active
Battle Position: Ground Dark attribute
Their levels are even higher than the last pair!
I’ll have to be extra careful now.
Last time the terrain worked to my advantage since the passage was so slow that I could go for the damage from wall slams if I wanted to but utilizing that strategy here will be difficult to say the least.
The best plan of action would be either to throw them into the ground or use a wall spell.
As always, strengthening with spells comes first.
Now then, let’s see how strong they are going to be this time?
Is it just me or have their movements became much more dynamic? Especially Gozu’s?
Volff and Jean are having a hard time against him.
We’re taking more damage.
I can’t afford to conserve my spells anymore.
I have to use this!
「Magma Screen!」
I erected a wall of flaming magma between myself and the monsters and avoided their incoming attacks with a well-timed side-step.
「Root Snare!」
Their feet have been glued to the floor.
They did not fall down but lost their balance for long enough.
I closed the distance between us and drove my fist into Higher Mezu’s belly.
It trips and falls straight into my Wall spell.
It has now been affected by the magma damage twice and is rolling on the floor in pain.
It was painful to watch, but at least it worked like a charm.
I have to fight with spells.
Otherwise I won’t be able to take the initiative.
The fight slowly continues.
It would be nice if I could break at least one of their limbs, but there wasn’t any opportunity to do so.
After casting another Magma Wall spell that lit both our enemies on fire and a series of my strikes, throws and joint locks their HP bars finally dropped by an outstanding amount and it kept on dropping until there was nothing left of them.
As expected, there was no drops from them, even if they were so high leveled.
Could this be the beginning of the end of my good luck?
The next pair of Higher Gozu and Higher Mezu were Lv10.
Good thing they spawned in another narrow passage.
Once again, I took on Mezu and my Monsters engaged Gozu.
Even if they were of higher level than the last pair, they were easier to defeat due to the better terrain.
My companions are doing surprisingly well despite the level difference between them and the enemies, ending the battle quite soon.
Heading towards the next spawn point, Gozu and Mezu’s level was still going up!
Higher Gozu Lv11
Youkai, Target Subjugation Active
Battle Position: Ground Light Attribute
Higher Mezu Lv11
Youkai, Target Subjugation Active
Battle Position: Ground Dark attribute
Thanks to Volff and Jean we were able to avoid getting trapped by them.
I am thankful for that, because if we would have to deal with them without their detection skills and buffing ourselves in advance, then things would have looked pretty bleak.

Tales of Mana
Announcement: I (the author) am currently on a journey through guides, feedback and countless pages of miscellaneous other stuff to improve this work. I will not change the plot, but the style should be improved by a lot. I also intend to give more insights on the world and its characters. Once that is taken care of, this message will be removed. Until then, I wish you keep this in mind if you keep reading. - You know the stories about how some random person get's resurrected as the hero of a fantasy world after dying in their previous one? Well.. Mana may have been revived, but definitely not as a hero. This world does not require to be saved. It has to be changed. However.. how much can something be bent.. before breaking? - Mature tag due to: description of gory scenes. Some violence. This will go down after the first few chapters, but will resurface later on. Example: """"had literally drowned on its own blood"""". No sx scenes. To get some things out of the way: -this is my first submission, and the first story I ever wrote. If you find mistakes, or have something to criticize, please do so, but DON'T just write """"xy = bad"""". Explain me how to improve. Would be nice.

Essentia Animus
Second Book of the Soul - Celesi Veil Trilogy When the living essence of three girls are put at risk, giving room for a second essence within themselves, even their hyper developed fantasy world might not be enough to contain their new found ambitions. Another story of another world, these three girls must adapt to their new essence, all while each is left to question if they are truly still even alive. While this story is a sequel of the previous story in the trillogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, taking place in a distant corner of a Celese returning readers will be otherwise incapable of recognizing. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for the previous book, in case that matters to anyone. This story takes place over two centuries after the events of Vitae Memorandum, when Celese had developed into an advanced world, improved to a point that it is much like modern-day Earth while still using the gift instead of technology. The Aethyx languages are still present in this book, and even English still exists in the world after the events of the previous book, but are much less of a focus after the same closing events of the previous book. What is instead important is how the ending events of the previous book had resulted in the start of the Instrumentation Era, and exactly how the gift translates in a modern-day sense. While this book is still effectively a fantasy world of its own kind of magic, it isn’t the classical medieval scene that would be typical for such a story. The laws of science still do not exist in Celese, but that didn’t stop it from developing into something that looks similar enough. Earth itself still remains present on the other side of the veil, and its previous exposure continues to shape and advance Celese into the world it has become. This story contains scenes exibiting mania and similar dark themes, as it goes to great length to explore concepts of life and death. While the degree of such themes should not be considered to be as serious compared to matters such as actual horror, the psychological depth is still siginifcant enough to be potentially concerning for people sensitive to matters of this nature, such as any individuals with concerns questioning matters of suicide, mental harm, or a variety of emotional injuries. While none of these subjects actually occur in the story, readers who are currently troubled by such matters may find themselves considering old wounds if they are especially capable of empathy while reading, which could lead to furthered emotional or mental stress. Readers with a high capacity for empathy may find themselves troubled by concerns regarding any potential lack of mental/emotional control as well as considerations regarding the meaning of death. Readers who appreciate subtle dark themes in a story may instead find this to be an interesting twist of the same idea.
