The Summoner is Going Chapter 127 part2
Chapter 127 (Part 2)
We seem to be doing good so far, though.
Hunting Brown Bears and Stab Butterflies.
Especially the Brown Bears, which I’ve been fighting without using the usual spells.
I can fight them pretty well like that.
Well, both the tonfas and the Staff of Torture are very powerful.
They’re just great!
But I might need to change my tactics for this one.
Forest Tortoise Lv 2
Monster Enemy Target Active
On the ground, Underwater Earth Attribute Water Attribute
So these can go underwater too?
And it has two attributes?
What a pain.
「Practiced Spirit!」
So I’ll have to use some spells here.
Senki follows right after me.
A membrane of water sprouts from under our feet.
A rock lump begins to float in midair.
I see those attacks.
My goal is to get closer to the turtle before attacking.
I manage to achieve that purpose.
Though I did receive some damage on the way.
Senki is holding the turtle’s neck to the side under his arms, squeezing it hard.
Of course, this is to prevent it from hiding its head under its shell.
I see.
Preventing it from hiding its head is good and all, but this is unexpected…
The turtle dies, just like that.
Oh, come on!
And here I was, planning to use Practiced Spirit to go close combat on it!
I don’t get it!
On top of that, I didn’t even get its shell!
Good grief!
I’ll keep on fighting them until I get one of those shells!
Using Call Monster to call Forest Tortoises in succession, I battle one after another.
One could think I’m holding some kind of grudge against them.
《Summon Monster 『Heather』 Level Up!》
《Please add 1 point to a desired stat.》
The info screen came up after defeating the third turtle.
Though Heather hasn’t attacked the turtles much…
Oh well.
Her INT has increased automatically upon leveling up.
I’ll choose STR as his second stat increase.
And it looks like she’s can learn a new skill, too.

Looks like I get to choose the new skill.
The choices are basic magical attributes.
Light, Dark, Fire, Earth, and Water.
Maybe Earth?
None of my monsters have the Earth Attribute, so…
This is what it looks like after my choice is done.

Good.
I’m glad that she’s getting stronger too.
I continue to move towards the Guardian Tree while hunting Brown Bears.
I also encounter a Snow Leopard on the way there, which is quite the sight here.
I’m not attacking it myself.
Tigris cannot compete with the Snow Leopard’s speed.
But with Heather’s support, he can somehow reach its speed, so it’s his chance.
After overpowering the leopard, the battle became one-sided.
I should be careful when building my party.
If you know what monsters you’re going to encounter, making a good team should be easy.
If not, you need to think hard about making a balanced team.
It’s tough.
It gets really difficult since there are so many possible combinations.
At least some of my Monster Summons have some very specialized stats, so that simplifies

things a little.
I wonder how would other players fare in this situation?
Do they get this kind of issues in a party of players?
It is now 6 PM.
I’ve just arrived at the Guardian Tree.
It was a little later than expected, but I finally got here.
Right, I have to change my formation for the night.
I recall Obsidian and summon Bunraku
I’ve run out of sirloin.
Let’s use some Fighting Bull leg meat instead.
It’s actually cut from the outer thigh, so it should be good.
I’ll use 【Appraise】 on it again.
【Material】 Fighting Bull Thigh Meat Raw Material Grade C+ Rarity 2 Weight 3
Meat from the outer thigh of a Fighting Bull. It’s not too fatty.
For that reason, it has a fine texture and a great flavor.
I give it to Bunraku.
For this one, we’ll use Strange Salt (Evil) on it.
Well then, how will the finished product turn out?
【Food】 Spit-roasted Fighting Bull Ham+ Satiety +30% Grade B- Rarity 4 Weight 0+
Gives the effect HP Recovery [Slight] for 5 minutes.
A simple dish made with a Fighting Bull Thigh Meat and onion, seasoned with salt and
pepper.
Hmm.
This one has an effect that recovers HP.
These recipes seem to be following some sort of rule.
Its Grade is quite high.
Its Rarity has increased by two from the raw material, too.
The Strange Salt (Evil) probably works just like the Strange Salt (Holy)
By the way, which monster was the one that drops the Sacred Salt (Evil)?
Let’s see…
Ah, I remember now.
It’s a Slime.
Come to think of it, I haven’t encountered a Slime since then…
No Goblin Summoners either.
Huh? Don’t tell me it’s actually a rare item?
Let’s change the party to one more suitable for the night.
Tigris and Senki are staying in the party.
Then I summon Goki and Jean.
There are terrible opponents at night.
Brown Bears start appearing in groups of two or three.
Kashas are strong, too.
Byte Rats attack in large groups.
And there’s also Giant Spiders.
They may escape during the day, but I’m using magic to destroy them now.
【Material】 Giant Spider’s Silk Raw Material Grade C+ Rarity 2 Weight 2
Silk from a Giant Spider. Thin, but very strong.
A spiderweb made from this makes for a very sturdy foothold.
【Material】 Giant Spider’s Sticky Silk Raw Material Grade C+ Rarity 3 Weight 2
Sticky silk from a Giant Spider. Thin, but very strong.
It is used in spiderwebs to entangle prey.
So there are different types of silk.
What can I use the sticky silk for?
The first thing that comes to mind is to make flypaper.
It’s hopeless.
My already poor thinking ability seems to be getting even poorer.
The night hunt continues.
Tigris has already leveled up, but there are other things I’m looking forward to.
Goki and Senki are both level 7.
Senki might be the first one to level up next.
The most dangerous monsters here are probably the Kashas.
They’re felines like Tigris, but their sizes are completely different.
Oh, and Kashas are phantoms.
I want to use Practiced Spirit in all of my fights.
Still, I’ve got my expectations.
Still nothing?
No info screens?
I want to see Senki’s level up screen…
Then the info screen finally appeared.
《【Spell Effect Amplification】 Level Up!》
《【Spell Range Expansion】 Level Up!》
Not exactly what I was expecting…
But still, this is very good indeed!

Then, we encounter our main opponent of the night.
It’s a Kasha
But not just an ordinary Kasha.
Flame Kasha Lv 1
Phantom Enemy Target Active
On the ground Fire Attribute
As if it wasn’t implied by its name, it has the Fire Attribute.
It’s no bigger than a regular Kasha.
Its shape is also very similar, but its hair looks different.
「Practiced Spirit!」
I go to the vanguard myself.
What will my next spell be?
There, it’s decided.
I can already feel the heat bursting from the phantom in front of me.
Naturally, the choice is obvious.
「Resist Fire!」
As I cast the spell on myself, the phantom gets right in front of me.
It’s fast!
I thought it was going to attack me with his extended frontal paw, but I’m getting damaged just
by the intense heat it emanates.
You’ve got to be kidding me.
I hit it repeatedly behind the ears with my tonfas, but it didn’t break its posture and continued
to face me.
Too strong!
Is it on par with a Deva King?
I should face this enemy with that in mind.
Well, my next spell is decided as well.
「Resist Fire!」
Senki draws near the phantom.
But even Senki’s mighty build alone might not be enough to pin this guy down.
The hot air makes him burn with impatience.
Will he be strong enough with the spell I used on him?
Jean fires off a barrage of dark bullets.
It’s a special attack with the dark attribute.
Feels like it could be used as a diversion pretty well.
「Enchanted Weapon!」
I use the spell on Senki to power him up.
He finally manages to land a direct hit on the phantom.
At the same time, I eat a Recovery Pill.
With this, my hands are free for more attacking.
I use Resist Fire and Enchanted Weapon on all of my party.
I also use Physical Enchant: Fire and Physical Enchant: Earth on Senki.
Goki continues to distract the phantom from a safe distance.
This battle is taking quite a long time.
Without a doubt, its strength can be compared to that of a Deva King.
A Deva King is certainly stronger in its offensive ability.
But toughness-wise, this guy is stronger.
So stubborn!
It’s really persistent.
It's gradually recovering its own HP.
So if the battle continues to drag along for much longer, it’ll end up recovering completely.
Tigris gets bitten and loses almost half of his HP.
I hurriedly use a recovery spell on him.
I can’t forget to empower him with more spells.
Come on, let’s try to finish this battle today.
With that determination, I put an end to my grudge.
I continue to hit it hard on the joints of its forepaws as I attack it with a Gravity Bullet, even
though it might leave me open for a counterattack.
Senki somehow has managed to pin down the phantom’s head.
Seems we’re finally getting somewhere here.
The phantom still has about half of its HP left.
I put up a Water Shield just in time to block an incoming attack.
The phantom takes a lot of damage when it dives into the shield.
But it still doesn’t give up on attacking me.
But this is a golden chance.
I hit one of its eyes directly with a tonfa.
Senki holds the phantom’s neck under his arm and begins swinging it around.
Then he flings it against the water shield.
How did that go?
Its HP is now down to twenty percent.
Still, twenty percent left? Oh dear…
Before it knew it, both of the phantom’s eyes are rendered useless.
One of them was because of my tonfa.
The other was taken out by an arrow.
Was it Goki?
Well played!
Still, the Flame Kasha continues to rage on.
It’s still attacking as if it were able to see, but those attacks are clumsy now.
Somehow, we finally bring it down.
On the other hand, it seems we’ve used up a lot of MP in this fight.
These battles are difficult, huh?
Now that it’s over, I think the Deva King is the stronger one.
But with the proper preparation, fighting a Deva King might be even easier than this last fight.
Well, that’s obvious.
I’m happy I won that one.
On the other hand, I’m not so happy about other things.
Even though we managed to defeat such a powerful enemy, no one leveled up.
What’s more, the phantom did not drop any items.
I could almost cry…
And my MP is down to twenty percent.
Maybe it’s a good time to stop.
Let’s go back to the Wind Spirit Village and log out.
