I woke up in Carson's bed again.
Honestly, I don't know how this keeps happening. It needs to stop, too. I can't even remember the last time I sleep in my own bed.
It was fully morning. The sun was peeking through the blinds and making me feel all warm.
I should have gotten up, I know that. I shouldn't have even come in here last night. I should have gone to my own bedroom last night. But did I? No, I didn't. And for what? We didn't even do anything.
I looked up at Carson. He looked so peaceful when he was asleep. The smirk that was usually plastered on his face was replaced by a small, relaxed smiled. His eyebrows weren't furrowed with anger. He was just... calm.
I ran my index finger the edge of his jawline, starting right below his ear all the way down to his chin. I let my thumb find his lips and trace over them gently.
"What are you doing?" He hummed, his voice grainy.
I smiled, "Nothing."
I continued what I was doing, well aware that he was watching me now.
He caught my wrist, "It's too early for that, Princess."
"Too early for what?" I asked innocently.
He laughed, "You're lucky you're hot."
"I know."
He kissed me.
Morning breath and all, he just leaned over and kissed me. But it was weird this time. He didn't stick his tongue in my throat, and he pulled away way too soon.
"What was that?" I asked.
"A kiss," he responded in a "duh" tone.
I shook my head, "Nuh-uh."
I grabbed his chin and pulled his lips back onto mine. It didn't take ling for him to start kissing back, so I climbed on top of him. Grabbing the sides of his shirt and pulling it upwards, letting my hands slide over his bare stomach in the process.

He pulled away again, "What are you doing?"
"Kissing you," I said in a "duh" tone.
He smirked, "Nuh-uh."
He grabbed my waist and flipped us over forcefully so that he was now on top of me. My hands found their way into his hair, which I would pull on every time he decided to bite my bottom lip.
"What the hell is this?" A loud, startling voice came from the door.
I opened my eyes in horror pushing Carson's face away from mine. Luna.
"Shit," I said under my breath.
"Do you think she knows?" Carson asked. I resisted the urge to slap him as I rolled out from under him.
"Madeline, you have approximately 20 seconds to get out of this bed and meet me in the hallway or I swear to God the whole school will know about this."
Luna slammed the door shut behind her.
This would be hard to explain.

"So, where are we going?" I asked.
"Just shut up!" Luna ordered. "You're not allowed to talk until we get there."
I rolled my eyes. She was really making a big deal out of nothing.
My phone buzzed in my lap. I checked it. Carson.
Has Luna cooled off yet? - C
No. I think she's taking me to Jason's. idk she won't talk to me. - M
lol... what time will you be back? - C
No clue, why? - M
I'm bored. - C
Entertain yourself. - M
Don't have to tell me twice.. why don't u send me pics? - C (A/N: Don't send pics guys, it is not worth it lol.)
I'm really not sure now's the time. - M
"I swear to God if you're texting him right now," Luna said angrily.

"I'm not," I lied. "Chill out."
My phone buzzed again.
Hurry back (; - C

"Sit down," Luna commanded me, pushing me down onto the couch. She pulled Jason into the kitchen with her, definitely to talk about me without me.
I rolled my eyes.
They came back a few minutes later, sitting down on the couch across from me. I couldn't tell if Jason was angry, or if he was just trying really hard to hold back a laugh.
I slumped back into the couch, "Before you guys say anything, I really think you should know that you're overreacting about the... circumstance."
"Overreacting?!" Luna shouted, letting out her rage. "You're the one making bad decisions!"
"That's just it!" I exclaimed, growing angry. "They're my decisions. Not yours, not Jason's, mine! It doesn't affect you."
"Of course it affects me! Who's the one who's going to have to deal with you when he breaks your heart?"
"He's not gonna break my heart, he doesn't have that control over me."
"Maybe not right now, but he did," Jason said, finally speaking up. "And he might have it again if you continue whatever it is you two are doing,."
"We're not doing anything."
"The what is it Maddie?" Luna asked. "Why are you sleeping in his bed? Why are you kissing him half dressed? Can you honestly tell me that if I hadn't walked in, you guys wouldn't have done anything?"
I huffed and shook my head, looking away. "It's not like I'm hung up on him. I don't... feel anything towards him."
"The point is, Mads," Jason started. "It's dumb and naive to think that this is going to end in anything other than disaster. You will never forgive yourself if you let Carson break you again."
I sat back quietly, realizing this was a battle I'd lose.
"So, what's it gonna be?" Luna asked.
Maybe they were right. Maybe I really hadn't thought this through. I mean, what did I expect? There was truth to what they had said: there would be no someday down the road when Carson and I would just stop and everything would just go right back to normal.
Things would not just go right back to normal, and one of us would end up hurt.
"Alright," I shrugged. "I'll stop. It'll stop."
"Good."
"Just, promise me you won't tell Dylan that it happened again," I asked.
"Again?!" Jason repeated in disbelief. "You mean to tell us that this wasn't the first time?"
I shrugged, "Come one, you really couldn't have believed it was. He's hot and literally lives five feet away from me."
"We're not going to tell Dylan," Luna spoke softly. "But if it happens again, we're not helping you hide it from him."
I nodded.
Luna and Jason moved on, and started talking about something else. I tuned them out, staying quiet in my seat. It's funny how a good day can turn bad so quickly.

I sighed as I walked up the stairs back to my room. I rested a hand on my temple, hoping to relieve myself of the massive headache I had.
"Hey, Princess," Carson smiled. I looked up at him before diverting my eyes away and walking to my bedroom door.
He caught my hand. "What?" I said coldly. I didn't mean to, it just came out.
He look startled, "Are you alright?"
"Yeah, I am, I'm sorry," I said. "I just– I have to go."
I didn't wait for his reaction or for him to say anything. I hurried into my room, and closed the door in his face.
