《Cloud 69》14:

The week was moving all too quickly for my liking. It was already Wednesday. And somehow, I had made it through the week without running into Carson.
Also, as the week progressed, I was feeling more and more guilty. I mean, every time I looked at Dylan, I was reminded that I slept with his best friend, the one I promised I would never get involved with.
Anyways, he was coming over tonight because I was having a hard time even looking at him anymore. Dylan has spent a greater portion of his life doing everything possible to keep me away from Carson, I'm worried he actually might kill the guy when he finds out I slept with him.
"Maddie?" Dylan knocked on my bedroom door.
"I'm here," I called. He entered the room carrying a pint of ice cream and two spoons.
I laughed, "You're always prepared."
He sat down on the bed and passed me a spoon, "So, what's so important that I had to come right away?"
"I have something to tell you. But you have to promise to not be mad."
He looked up from the bucket of ice cream, already narrowing his eyes, "What did you do?"
"Okay, it's kinda a long story, but I'm gonna guess that Carson couldn't keep his big mouth shut and told you he was living here."
"Maybe."
"Okay so since you kept a secret from me, and I'm not mad, you can't be mad at me for keeping this from you."
"Stop stalling and just tell me what stupid thing you did this time."
"I slept with Carson," I mumbled.
"You what?" Dylan grit out.
"I said I sle-"
"I heard you!" Dylan exclaimed. "Madeline!"
"Okay, but-"
"Please tell me you don't have feelings for him now," Dylan groaned.
"Of course not but-"
He sighed, "Maddie, out of everyone, why him?"
I shrugged, "I was horny and he was here?"
He shook his head, disappointedly, "Madeline, I don't want to see you become one of those girls who follows him around like a lost dog, thinking they have a chance and they'll miraculously be the one to change him."
"Dylan, you know that could never happen, I wouldn't let it."
He shook his head, "But what if you do? What happens then, huh?"
I stayed silent and waited for the rest of my lecture.
"Maddie, I know you're smart. But so are a lot of the girls who wind up as his collateral damage. You're like my little sister, and I really don't want to see you in tears because of that asshole."
"Can I remind you that 'asshole' is your best friend?"
Dylan sighed, "Just promise me you don't want to do it again."

I laughed, "Don't worry, it will never happen again."
"Good." Dylan said. "Now, I'm gonna go, it's been a long day."
"I bet not as long as-
"I swear to God if you say what I think you're gonna say I will actually kill you," Dylan threatened. I held my hands up in surrender and escorted him out.
I was going to wait until Dylan went all the way down the stairs to go back into my room. But then I heard Carson yelling again.
I decided not to listen anymore, but it seemed to be that whenever he was on the phone, he was angry.
After going back into my room, I went into the closet, ready to change into pajamas for the night.
I had only just slid on a pair of sweatpants when I head the sound of my door opening, followed by it slamming shut loudly.
I stepped out to see Carson charging towards me. He looked angry as hell. At first, I assumed he was going to pick a fight with me, but then he ripped his shirt off, throwing it behind him. When he finally reached me, he grabbed the back of my neck and forced me into his lips.
He wrapped his other arm tightly around my waist, lifting me up and throwing me onto my bed. I wasn't given much time to recover from being thrown across the room, because Carson climbed on top of me.
Carson's hand started traveling from my hip up my side, slipping underneath my shirt.
He pulled away for a half second, to catch his breath. I looked up at him, more than a little confused with the current situation, and found he was already staring at me with a dark glare.
"Please, Mads. I did it for you, now you do it for me."
I stared down at Carson's abdomen for a second, taking in the sight before me. The sight that I had been imagining since the last time we were in a similar predicament.
Behind the grey in his eyes, I could also see the desperation. It didn't really occur to me ever to say no to his request, but it still felt a little satisfactory to make him wait a minute.
I ran my finger down from the base of his neck to his belly button. Then, I hooked my finger around the waistline of his pants, looking back up at him.
"Is that a yes?" He asked.
I nodded my head. Without so much as another second passing, my shirt was off and his lips were back on mine.

I woke up at 10 the next morning, which would have been nice, if school didn't start at 8. The least Carson could have done was wake me up when he left. But no.

I rushed to shower and get changed, hoping that if I got to school before third period started, I wouldn't get a detention.
I slipped on the first things I found in my closet, still making sure it was cohesive. I might be late, but I sure as hell was going to make it fashionable.
I left my house without even stopping for breakfast. That alone may have been the hardest thing I've ever done.
I got to school right before the bell for third period and slid into my seat next to Dylan.
"Look who showed up," He said sarcastically.
"It's not my fault, Carson... turned off my alarm," I covered up.
"Why would he do that?"
Like I said, I'm not a good liar. Thinking on the fly of something to trick Dylan is harder than it seems. I don't like that kind of pressure.
"Um, well last night I um... stuck a rotten egg in his sock. He must have felt vengeful."
Dylan shook his head, "You two are seriously the worst."
I shrugged in response, and he let the matter drop. No way in hell was I admitting to him that less than 10 minutes after promising to him that I wouldn't sleep with his best friend again, I did exactly that.

"Can we go to lunch now?" Luna whined as I opened my locker.
I shook my head, "Sorry, but I have to stop by the chemistry lab. Mr. Jameson needs help testing out a chemical reaction in-"
Luna rolled her eyes, "You lost me at chemistry. I'm going to lunch, have fun earning more extra credit, teacher's pet. See you tonight."
She left me alone in the hallway, not that I really cared. I slammed my locker shut and headed the opposite way of her to the science lab. I didn't get very far because something reach out and grabbed my arm. I was pulled into a classroom. The lights were off and the blinds were down, making it hard to see.
"Jason, I swear, if this is another one of your pranks, I will rip your head off!"
The lights suddenly flickered on. "Do I look like Jason to you?" I turned around and saw Carson smirking. He locked the door to the classroom.
I rolled my eyes, "No, you don't. You're not as attractive."
Carson started walking toward me, a very dubious look in his eyes. Out of natural instinct, I started to back away.
"Hmm, that doesn't seem to line up with what you were saying last night."
I tried really hard not to react to that, but I naturally have very rosy cheeks, I can't help it.
"I like what you're wearing. It's cute."
I rolled my eyes, "What's wrong? None of your whores are available for you to hit on?"
He laughed, still walking towards me. This was a really bad time for me to back into a wall. I had nowhere to go any more. Carson trapped me in, putting his hands on the wall on either side of me.
He was playing with me, I knew it from the smirk on his face as he looked me up and down. His mistake, however, was thinking that he would win.
He picked up a few strands of my hair and twirled it around his finger. He slowly draped the hair behind my ear, gently tracing down the curve of my ear and right down my jawline.
I bit my lip, feeding into his game a bit. I think he definitely appreciated that.
He tilted my chin up, so that we were looking directly into each other's eyes, "Bite your lip like that again, Princess, and we're gonna have problems."
I smirked, "Looks like you already have one."
He leaned into me, his face a mere inch from mine. His lips were so close to touching mine, but just before they did so, he swerved his head to the left and started kissing my neck.
"I bet you do this with every girl? Throw them in a classroom and start working your 'charms'? I bet all of your hoes love this." I said, squirming under him slightly. He was biting my neck too much for my liking; someone could notice the marks.
"Are you admitting you're one of my hoes?" He smirked against my skin.
I took the side of his face in my hand and pulled him off of my neck so that he was looking at me. His lips were swollen and red, but still curled up in a smug expression like always.
I reached my neck up to lean in closer to him. My lips a mere centimeter from his. I could tell he was getting excited, and he also thought that he had won this. I felt his eyes on me, watching my every move.
And just as I was up to kiss him, I looked up into his eyes and smiled mischievously at him, "Only in your wildest dreams."
While he was stuck in a daze of confusion, I took the time to separate myself from him and head to the door.
"Aren't you gonna help me?" He called from behind me.
I turned around and he was still looking as smug as usual. He looked down at his pants and motioned for me to come back to him. He was kidding himself.
I smiled and shrugged, "Not my problem."
"But you're the one who gave it to me, Princess."
Without answering him, I unlocked the door and left. Damn, I'm a badass.
