《HARRY POTTER:LOVE AND ADVENTURE》THE MARAUNDERS

terrible things tend to happen amid a breakthrough. hardly had I got to the owlery than I met the caretaker Argus filch wrestling a package from some second years from Ravenclaw. having listened to his explanation that all the letters and packages delivered through the owlery had to be inspected by him, I suddenly knew that my plans wouldn't work. if fragrance potions were being confiscated by the caretaker. what would happen to an invisible cloak?
I had planned to ask my mother to purchase me one alongside a decent broomstick. but from the looks of things, that would be a sure way to invite the caretaker's wrath or even an audience with dumbledore whom I couldn't help feeling was monitoring me
as I left the building, I was in deep thoughts that I didn't notice the Weasley twins at the base of the staircase until I stumbled upon one of them. it was really difficult to tell those two apart
"are you blind mal boy oops.. it Malfoy," said the one I had stumbled on
I hastily mumbled an apology
his twin sniggered before chipping in"come to think about it bro, he could be sleepwalking.."
"no no bro...maybe comma walking" he closed his eyes and mimicked a sleepwalker with a very haggard countenance.
I was paying little attention to him. my eyes were fixed on his robe pocket. something was in there. I felt an overwhelming attraction toward it.
Just then the system notification popped up in the corner of my eyes. the rich golden glow indicating the quest map emerged.
The indicator on the map was pointing at the twin I had been staring at with the name Fred at the bottom. I mentally reopened the quest info panel and I couldn't believe my eyes the quest info tab read.

artefact: marauders map
artefact proximity; 2 meters
artefact description: The Marauder's Map is a magical artefact. It shows people's exact positions in real time everywhere within Hogwarts castle and grounds, even identifying by name individuals who have never been there before. The map sees them by their psyche, thus making it proof against Invisibility Cloaks and Animagi.
I closed the display and stared at Fred's pocket with lust. I couldn't help wondering how they had come in possession of such an important artefact. my heart beat with a thud just thinking of the list of endless things I could do with the map in my possession.
just then George waved his hands in front of my eyes laughing
"holy moly, I think he has a crush on you Fred"
Fred feigned surprise "you don't say, how about we give him a souvenir" Fred reached into his pocket and withdrew a dung bomb.
my mind suddenly came back to reality...hell no, I couldn't let them use that on me. I quickly reached within my robe and withdrew the Gawain wand. I knew there was little I could do with it seeing I was nowhere near level seven. but at least it might scare them into leaving me alone.
Fred threw the dung bomb near my foot but before it could hit the ground a web-like thread shot out of nowhere and suspended it in mid-air.
We all turned to follow the direction of the thread and resting calmly on the rails of the staircase was the tall ,calm imposing figure of Albus dumbledore.
"I thought we talked about this Mr Weasley"
"George stammered for a while before his twin came to his rescue." it's not a real one professor. we were just getting friendly with Draco here"
behind the glasses, the headmaster seemed to roll his eyes in amusement

"So then you wouldn't mind if I dropped it on you huh?"
immediately the dungball rose upwards and levitated on Fred's head
"nooo, we swear it was the last one "Fred yelled
'`your last one huh?", the headmaster said, bringing the ball to its position just above the marble floor.
"And you were going to use it on a first-year student?"...
The twins were now fidgeting with their fingers.
you may go to your class Mr Draco...tell Hagrid you were with me"
a shudder passed through my body, it was the first time the headmaster had used my name. I noted that all the while his eyes had been staring at the Gawain wand.
Taking a final look at Fred's pocket, I tore my eyes from the scene as the twins began to protest against the headmaster.
All I could think as I ran towards the hut at the edge of the forest was how I would get the map from the twins...my soaring thoughts were already forming a plan...
could it be possible to befriend them?

The Shape of Home
The world of Alvelotyl is one of fantasy, one filled with many races, an expansive magic system exploring themes of identity, some LitRPG elements, moral ambiguity and no small amount of magical inventions similar to those in our world. Dragons with blogs showing off their hoards of treasure live alongside [Hunters] chasing Giant Toads, or [Bandits] using rifles charged with Fire Magic. The Shape of Home is a story within this world, and follows the exploits of Yuri Scalesmith, a budding Lizardfolk adventurer from a small country town with a knack for inventing, and how her life drastically changes after she’s taken from home forever following a single catastrophic event. After being taken from her previously normal life, Yuri is thrust into a world of sprawling streets, magically mutated monsters, and a crime war for territory stretching across an entire city. The Shape of Home normally updates every Tuesday and Saturday at 6PM GMT, but I'm trying out different upload times to see how people react and attract others in differing timezones. There will be two week long breaks after each story arc's Interlude. This story is also a participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge!

The life of a teenage hellworlder
We've all heard of the trope that Earth is a deadly planet by galactic standard; and has thus honed humanity into a ruthless species bent on surviving at all costs. As it turns out, that trope is true. Sapient species that evolve on safe planets develop to be peaceful and compassionate - and the ones that do on dangerous ones become violent and selfish out of need - usually wiping themselves out. But obviously, not every violent species drives itself to extinction - resulting in them being feared and ostracized - including humans. The life of a teenage hellworlder is a sci-fi slice of life story that revolves mainly around Thomas, a sixteen-year-old New Britannian attending a Xeno high school, who befriends a lonely apex predator named Javqua. Getting written by two amateur teen writers, things may sometimes be inconsistent or be confusing - feel free to comment and point out these problems. Gore, profanity, and traumatizing content tags are only for minor events in the story and do not happen often. Chapters are around 1k - 2k words - pretty short, but that's because we're all busy with our own lives and school. Trust us - we would gladly upload 5k word chapters if we could. We tend to upload new chapters every Saturday or Sunday. Please consider supporting us on Patreon!

Grin the Cheat
There was a time when heroes roamed between the Four Great Cities. They fought for kingdoms and princesses and they lived and died by their valour. Or so the stories say. The way the minstrels sing it, everyone had a swashbuckling good time. Nowadays, buckles are rarely swashed. All the great beasts have been slain, all the great treasures unearthed. Princesses are few and far between — the ones worth fighting over, anyway — and the kingdoms have been divvied up between the sons of sons of sons of the heroes of old. No valour required. Frankly, the hero business is in a sorry state. Luckily for Grin the Cheat, thieving and murder are thriving as usual. If you have a moment, please vote for this story at Top Web Fiction. Of Souls and Rogues
When thieves Von and Lloyd are murdered, they wake up to find themselves not in the afterlife, but in the realm of the demigods. These demigods rule territories and hold sway over various domains, such as professions, elements, and more. The demigods vie for power, be it through military, economic, or diplomatic means. The roguish and jovial demigod of thieves, tricksters, and deception, Cadius, has taken a keen interest in the duo, and ropes them into his escapades, plots, and schemes. Just what kind of person is Cadius, and what grand designs does he have in store? From pickpocketing to infiltrating the personal quarters of the demigods themselves, Von and Lloyd have their work cut out for them. They'll need to support and encourage eachother if they want to survive. Check out the Discord! Note: This is my first work of fiction, and as such, there will almost certainly be issues with pacing, grammar, the writing as a whole, and the story as a whole. If I reach a suitable point to pause the story, I will most likely do a complete rewrite as a separate RR posting. If you have any suggestions, feel free to post them here or in the discord. Thank you for reading!

Mary Susan Oceanrunner and the Brutus Saint's Academy
Join Mary Susan Oceanrunner on her quest to do... erm... something really important for the world... probably... Ahem. Long gone are the days when every hero could do whatever they wanted - now, we are civilised. We have government. Law. And proper forms. Lots of proper forms. (Final episode 25/07/2022. Also - beta readers far into the book rate the 'gore' degree as below 2/10, so the warning is a bit much) Mary Susan Oceanrunner is a poor girl from the orphanage, who like many others before, has to fulfil her destiny. The prophecy had been told, and she is the only one who can make things right. Erm... probably. Anyway, she can't just go and kill monsters like in the middle ages. First, she must apply for the appropriate permissions, fill the forms, learn about the proper loot taxations... Hey, no one said adventuring would be easy, right? Disclaimers: No claim made by any character by the book should be treated as the author's or anyone else's opinion on any subject. Most likely, it was just the funniest thing the Author could think of at the time of writing. This book contains many references to other works. It will probably be best enjoyed by individuals familiar with at least some of the following: 1) Computer games2) Fantasy in general3) Science fiction4) Tabletop RPGs5) Conspiracy theories6) Corporation work life7) Long forgotten prophecies uttered millennia ago in almost as forgotten languages under a starless night three dusks before the great convergence8) Filling any government-mandated form9) School10) EnglishMy ultimate goal is to make as many people experience something akin to joy while reading (think ~a bit louder exhale through the nose). It doesn't mean every scene will be funny or joyful because that's not how this stuff works. I can neither confirm nor deny having any other hidden agenda outside of that.
