Gohan stared at Vermont's back as they flew at breakneck speed through the universe. "I apologize for that but as a destroyer candidate your name cannot be tarnished because many will learn to fear you." Vermont said.

"Please remember your actions reflect that of the gods and if you allow mortals to have such brazen attitudes you will never be respected and as such you will not be able to remain a destroyer." Gohan didn't answer as he nodded.

"It is unfortunate that they do not welcome you but once you ascend to true godhood it won't matter what some mortals say as the earth will belong to you." Gohan chuckled.

"Is this your way of consoling me?" He asked as Vermont chuckled.

"I suppose." He said as the light disappeared and Gohan looked around in wonder. "We have arrived."

"This is mine?" He asked as Vermont nodded.

"It will be very soon, we leave for the Grand Zeno's palace in 24 hours for your ascension, you aren't very strong yet but you do meet the minimum requirement, just barely though." Vermont answered.

"I truly do wonder how powerful you will become if you could reached such strength with a measly age of 23." He chuckled as Gohan eyed him.

"You are actually excited aren't you?" He asked as Vermont smiled.

"Did I make it too obvious?" He asked as Gohan just chuckled.

"I think we'll get along just fine Vermont." Gohan commented as he nodded, he felt exactly the same and for some reason he felt like the universe was about to enter a new age.

"If you don't mind I'd actually love to sleep right now, I haven't slept yet." He said as Vermont nodded and led him to his new palace.

(It looks exactly the same as Beerus's world just like all destroyer worlds.)

"Your room is here my lord." He answered as he showed Gohan his room. "I will wake you an hour before we have to leave so enjoy your next 23 hours of sleep." He said as Gohan just walked into the room and collapsed on the bed, it was incredibly soft.

"I just might sleep that long on a bed like this." He answered as he passed out from mental fatigue due to his mental training.

The door closed as Vermont left him to sleep until he was awoken.

"Lord Gohan!" The voice called out as Gohan rolled around on the bed before muttering.

"Five more minutes mom…" He muttered as a chuckle woke him up.

"Right…" He said as he sat up drooling and in a daze. "You certainly enjoyed your sleep." Vermont quipped at him as Gohan slowly shook his head and looked down at the sheets of the bed.

"This bed feels amazing I don't think I have ever slept like that before…it could be that I am just really tired but still." He mused as he got up and followed Vermont who showed him the bathroom.

After ten minutes Gohan had cleaned up and was ready to leave with Vermont. "Are you ready my lord?" He asked as his staff blinked.

"Oh, seems those mortals found a way to contact me, ahh Nabu he is the one." He said as he looked at Gohan.

"Just tell them that they don't need to worry, everything is fine and the earth is not in danger but I won't be able to return as the assembly has banned me from earth." Gohan said with a sigh as Wonder woman flashed through his mind.

"Alright." Vermont answered. "Although it seems that those of that Justice League seem to be very upset about how the situation was handled, it seems at least they understand the gravity of their situation, if you weren't as benevolent that little blue orb would have been reduced to space dust already." Gohan just sighed.

"Well I do come from my own earth so I wouldn't want it destroyed." He said as they flew off.

"The flight will be thirty minutes." He informed as he a pad appeared in Gohan's hands. "Please entertain yourself while we fly."

Gohan just stared at the pad and nodded. "That is called a god pad, it has all sorts of information on the universe perhaps you can brush up on a destroyers duties." He said as Gohan nodded and read throughout the flight.

'Certainly a very good candidate.' Vermont thought to himself as he observed Gohan read diligently. 'Many candidates just brush it off, I chose well.'

They soon arrived at the Grand Zeno's palace and entered, the first thing Gohan saw was 17 Destroyers and 17 Angels watching them, he straightened his back and sized up the mountain of power he would have to surpass to travel between multiverses.

As soon as they reached the line of gods Vermont bowed and Gohan followed suit. "Welcome my son." The Grand Priest spoke as Vermont stopped bowing.

"How long has it been since I saw your face brother?" Another Angel asked as Vermont smiled at her.

"Too long." He finished as he turned to gestured at Gohan. "This is my personal recommendation." He stated as a destroyer smirked.

"Seems a bit weak don't you think?" He asked as everyone nodded as Vermont just chuckled.

"Perhaps but he is only 23 years old." He added as some nodded looking a little satisfied at the comment.

"Maybe, but still…I struggle to even recognize your training in him." Another Angel pointed out as he smiled. "That is the beauty of it brother." Vermont grinned. "I haven't trained him at all." As more satisfied nods passed.

"Regardless if Vermont sees potential and even went as far as to recommend him than I will not doubt him." Another Angel pointed out, all the Angels nodded because they all understood Vermont would not recommend just anyone just like how none of them would just recommend anyone.

"Soju is correct." The Grand Priest said as he stepped down and smiled at Gohan who was still bowing with his eyes closed only showing the utmost respect to the beings before him, he could feel they were far beyond anything he ever felt before, it reminded him of when Beerus punched him in the face but just a fraction of the destroyers true strength.

'If Beerus was holding back this much power than I have a lot of work to do.' He thought to himself as the Grand Priest spoke to him.

"Rise Son Gohan." As Gohan stood and looked at the Grand Priest as he eyed Gohan who stood upright.

"Unfortunately if he were to have the ritual done to him he would simply not survive, he does not even have god ki within him." A destroyer said with a shrug as the Grand Priest raised his hand.

"Bring forth your full strength Son Gohan, I wish to see the true depth of your power, Vermont preached your praises so I would like to see why, at least before you start your true training." The Grand Priest said as Gohan nodded.

Crouching he inhaled and exhaled as a flame ignited and his power went from nothing before the gods to quite a substantial amount of energy as fire radiated from him as the Grand Priest smiled.

"I can see why Vermont spoke so highly of you, to have no formal god training and to reach a summit of power like this, truly Son Gohan you have a bright future ahead you just barely managed to reach the minimum requirement to become a Destroyer." The Grand Priest also praised him as the Destroyers stared at him grinning.

"A worthy candidate from the beginning and only 23 years old…" Another destroyer nodded and grinned. "With this our sister multiverse will finally see the difference between us and them."

Gohan's power receded as he relaxed and bowed to them all. "I promise to live up to your expectations my lords!" He said as he gave a short bow again.

"And no haughtiness either…I like him!" Another destroyer chimed in as the Angels nodded.

"You are strong enough to survive the ritual, let us begin." The Grand Priest said as he flew to the head of the group as they made way for Gohan to step forward, he saw two pillows laid out in front of him.

"You appeared at the perfect time, the Kaiju tree as given us another golden fruit as such your coronation will begin." The Grand Priest said as Gohan walked up to the pillow and sat next to the golden fruit and closed his eyes and the Destroyers and Angels surrounded him.

All Gohan felt was power circulate around him until the Grand Priest spoke. "You may open your eyes, rise Destroyer." The Grand Priest spoke as Gohan opened his eyes a little confused, he didn't really feel different but the first thing he noticed was his attire, he was wearing Destroyer garb and someone was now next to him.

"Greetings I am Makaiya." The Supreme Kai spoke as he looked at Gohan and bowed. "From today on we are bound together." He said as Gohan gave him a short bow. "I am Son Gohan, looking forward to it." Gohan said before it dawned on him what the Kai said but he didn't voice his confusion out loud.

He looked down and he saw his pants was white and his top half was the exact same as all the other Destroyers except it was white, black and red with three symbols on his outfit, a triangle facing upwards another facing downward and the middle symbol was a circle with 32 edges, his arms had golden bracelets and he had a golden ring on his left ear and he was slightly slimmer as well.

"You are now the the God of Destruction for the 21st universe." The Grand Priest said as they all gave a short bow to him along with Vermont who just smiled.

"This meeting is adjourned." The Grand Priest said as he turned around and entered the palace as all the Destroyers just stood next to their angel before taking off.

All of it was happening kind of fast for Gohan but he just went with the flow, if he ever wanted a chance at seeing his family again in other world he would need to see this through, Makaiya stood next to Vermont and Gohan quickly made his way over as they flew away.

"Am I supposed to feel different?" Gohan asked as Vermont glanced at him.

"Search deep within yourself, something should be lurking within you now, training is usually done for many years until your vessel can withstand even a fraction of Energy of Destruction, however, you didn't need training as your vessel is already strong enough." Vermont said as Gohan nodded.

Gohan closed his eyes and low and behold there was a chaotic power dwelling within him now. "After this we will go over etiquette and how to conduct yourself, if I had needed to train you we would have gone over this already.

Gohan nodded and took out the god pad and continued reading which just seemed to please Vermont even more.

When they arrived Makaiya bowed to them both before saying his farewell and Kai-Kai'd to the sacred world of the Kais to be trained by the Grand Supreme Kai so that he can one day take his position and train the next Supreme Kai.

"Are you ready to begin your training my lord?" Vermont asked as Gohan nodded. "Good now come at me with everything you have." As Gohan transformed into a Super Saiyan god and rushed Vermont who effortlessly evaded.

Back on Earth

"I actually received a response from him." Nabu said as Batman along with the rest of the league looked at him.

"What does it say?"

Nabu visibly relaxed. "Lord Gohan has acted as the bridge and so the earth is in no danger from the gods wrath." Flash sat on a chair and breathed a sigh of relief.

"Oh thank god! We owe you one Gohan." Barry said as he relaxed.

"If push came to shove we would have had to fight against gods." Supergirl said as she relaxed as well.

"No we would have been squashed." Nabu said as he looked at them. "Since the danger has passed I will take my leave." As he vanished.

"Why is Fate so pessimistic?" Karen scoffed.

"It's not pessimism, the beings that created our time-space and effectively all of us almost turned their backs on us." She said as she sat down. "But at least we weathered the storm."

"I wonder if he will return?" Diana asked as Batman shrugged.

"It's doubtful, but if he does we need to at least try and fix this." As Superman nodded.

"Amanda took it too far this time, she needs to be held accountable for almost dooming the entire planet." Clark said in anger.

"Well either way, I think it would be best if he never does return." Martian Manhunter said. "He shows up and we almost get involved with beings we should never have even met."

"You say it as if he wanted his world to be destroyed." Barry pointed out, he clearly remembered the tears Gohan shed for his family as he stared out into deep space. "I hope he comes back, at first I wasn't sure but now I am, he isn't bad just feared for his power…something we all had to go through at some point in our lives."

In outer space a rock-like man stood with his back turned to the audience down below on their knees, his eyes glowed red as he spoke his voice deep and reverberating perfectly.

"Send Doomsday…let us see if this Justice Legion can stop him." Said the man as one of his subjects bowing nodded.

"Of course Lord Darkseid…" Said the man as Darkseid grunted before turning back to face them.

"If Doomsday fails to tear apart those caped worms, I shall personally bring their world to it's knees before terraforming it." Said Darkseid.

"The only being on that world who has a sliver of a chance at stopping Doomsday is the Kryptonian, but with Doomsday's enhancements, the Kryptonian along with their world shall perish in the fire." Either way, their world will burn.

"Of course my lord." Said Steppenwolf as he stood and turned and left to prepare Doomsday and inject him with enhancements.

One year later the general assembly was in the middle of a meeting, public outrage was at an all time high as many people considered those in power to be incompetent due to their blunder when they spoke to a god, a new religious group appeared that had erected statues of Gohan and Vermont hoping to please the gods who were treated like garbage when they arrived on earth.

A city was even remained Son City, and the moment was recorded in history so that future generations would not make the same mistake.

Diana sat in the hall with a scowl on her face as she stared at Amanda who was smirking at her. "If Lord Gohan were to ever return to earth he would be met with high regard and treated as a VVIP, reports from the Justice League state he had stood up for planet earth and so earth was allowed to remain in the eyes of the gods." The head spoke, at this point they had no choice but to publicly acknowledge him.

Hearing that Diana smirked at Amanda who just looked away.

Online the news and comments blew up.

Gohan was meditating as Vermont came to him. "It is time." He said as Gohan stood, his hair was a soft blue.

Gohan charged at Vermont who blocked the blow and prepared a counter but Gohan shifted and closed his eyes before dodging and attacking. "Very good, I see you are still trying to achieve the state of the gods." He said before he landed a solid blow on Gohan's gut knocking him back to base.

"However, I still cannot sense it within you at all." Vermont said as Gohan sat up gasping for air as Vermont chuckled, Gohan reverted back to base.

"Your ability to control energy of destruction has also come a long way." Vermont praised. "You shouldn't rush yourself, you have already exceeded my expectations, you have quite the frightening potential."

"Well I have a goal, I need to become one of the strongest." Gohan said as he sighed. "I may not be allowed to kill Beerus for what he did but I can beat him within an inch of his life." Gohan said because for the past year he trained as hard as he could.

"I know Super Saiyan Blue is strong but it's still too weak, and mixing god with Mystic is too much for my body too handle for now." He said as Vermont nodded.

"And that is why we are training, if you can master that then you will be about as strong as the weaker destroyers, which is quite the feat." He said as Gohan nodded.

"How is planet earth?" He asked as Vermont checked his staff.

"They are fine, seems they have some strange machines situated around the planet but other than that nothing is amiss." He said as Gohan nodded.

"Good, notify me if anything changes." He said as Diana flashed through his mind. 'I wonder how she is? It doesn't really matter I guess.' He thought, at this point she would have probably forgotten all about him.

"There is a planet that requires your attention my lord." Vermont said as his staff glowed blue. "It's a water world, it seems to lure unsuspecting beings there before devouring them, it is not a natural world, most likely the by product of one of the leading empires, when they used the planet as a dumping site." Vermont said as Gohan sighed.

"Let's go." He said as he and Vermont took off towards the water world and appeared on it within the span of a few minutes.

"It looks normal enough but it is quite deadly" Gohan mused as he covered his nose at the stench that would kill normal people instantly, suddenly he sensed a ship approaching the planet, he raised his finger as a tiny speck of purple energy appeared as he dropped it into the ocean of the planet.

"Wait here." He ordered as he snap vanished and reappeared in the ship.

"They grow up so fast." Vermont said.

"Hello." Gohan started as he placed his hands behind his back surprising the crew.

"Who are you!?" The captain asked as they all jumped to their feet and aimed their weapons at him. "How did you get in here?"

"I suggest not landing on that planet." He said with a smile as they all stared at him cautiously as he made his way to the front of the deck.

"Why not?" He asked as Gohan elaborated.

"Because you will all lose your lives once you do, there are creatures on there that will tear you apart but you will die due to the toxic emissions first, I have no idea who made the planet like this but you are…Lou soldiers?" Gohan questioned as he stared at their emblem. "Yes that's the Lou crest."

"I am certain once you disappear more and more soldiers will be sent, it isn't much but your empire will be losing soldiers until you all realize that it's just a death trap." Gohan answered, he obviously knew the culprits but involving himself is not exactly what he wants to do.

"You still haven't answered my first question." The captain said.

"I am a God of Destruction." He said as they eyed him with disbelief, he was dressed oddly and he did just appeared in their ship but what caught their attention was what he referred to himself as.

"Why should we believe you?" The captain asked as Gohan shrugged. "We don't even know what a god of destruction is."

"You don't need to know." Gohan replied.

"I just don't want you to accidentally get in the way of my job." Gohan answered as he snapped his fingers and an explosion ensued rocking the ship but a purple barrier protected them.

"Captain! The planet…it's gone." The female vice captain said as they all eyed one another.

"Now return to your home world." Gohan said as he vanished from their ship.

"That was…crazy." One of the crew members said as they all relaxed somewhat.

"What do we report back?" One of the crew members asked as the Captain glanced at his crew before sitting down.

"Our ship has surveillance, we can report back and submit everything, it's not like we can destroy a planet." He answered as he strapped himself in. "Let's leave."

Gohan watched as the ship turned before zipping off. "The Eve and Lou Empires certainly hate one another." He mused as Vermont flew next to him as they floated in outer space.

"Anymore?" Gohan asked as Vermont nodded.

"Indeed, a weaker planet in the jurisdiction of the Eve Empire is being destroyed even though it is by all standards a perfect planet." Vermont informed him.

"Okay, this is ridiculous why am I only hearing of these two empires?" He asked Vermont who checked his staff. "All the planets that needed my attention belonged mostly to this Eve empire."

"Well my lord it seems as if they control they control the eastern galaxies and are allied currently due to a planet called Apokolips, ruled by a being called Darkseid, he seems to be a new god on the rise and he seems to be at war with both empires."

Gohan closed his eyes and nodded as he mused. "I see, well let me go and deal with the planet that is being destroyed." He said as he and Vermont took off at high speed.

Once they arrived Gohan was appalled at the sight as his jaw clenched, a giant drill was digging into the planet's core and Gohan could feel many lives still present.

"Okay, where is the capital of this Eve Empire?" He asked as Vermont checked his staff. "It appears to be further east, shall we go?" He asked as Gohan nodded as he placed his hand on Vermont's back and they took off again into outer space again.

When they arrived at the palace Gohan and Vermont landed as guards ran up to them. "Who are you!? How did you get here!?" They asked as spears were aimed at them.

Gohan and Vermont simply vanished as they made their towards the throne room, when they arrived their seemed to be a meeting going on as an alarm sounded off grabbing everyones attention.

"An intruder?" A man with a crown on his head said as he looked around until his eyes landed on Gohan and Vermont.

"Who are you?" He asked as all the heads turned to him, he saw many crowns. 'So it's a diplomatic meeting.'

"Pardon my intrusion your majesties." Gohan said as he walked up to the table the guards ran up to him and tried to block his path but he just waved his hand and they all went flying.

He finally reached the table and sat down at a empty spot as Vermont created a chair for him, Gohan looked at all of the faces at the table. "How dare you sit down at this sacred table?" One of the kings asked.

"Allow me to formally introduce myself, I am Lord Gohan your God of Destruction." Gohan stated as they all looked at him like he was crazy.

"God of destruction? What nonsense! Remove him from this room and have his head cut off and put on display for any who think they can just waltz into the throne room unannounced." The king said. "I have no idea how he got here but remove him at once!" The King roared in anger as a new presence appeared behind Gohan and swung a blade at Gohan's neck just for it it stop dead in its tracks once it made contact with his skin.

"Now I have some business to discuss with the king of the eve empire." Gohan stated as he ignored the blade, this caught everyones attention.

"There is a perfectly good planet that is not scheduled for destruction being destroyed." Gohan said as he eyed the king. "Do you take me for a fool? Am I nothing but a clown to you?" Gohan asked as a new person appeared but this time when they struck Gohan ducked.

He turned and looked at the person. "You are?" He asked.

"Commander Strix." She answered as Gohan nodded. "You are an impressive warrior but interrupt me again and I won't just dodge." He stated as he turned back to the king.

"I am waiting for your answer." He said as the King growled.

"Kill him right now commander!" The king said as she struck again but in the blink of an eye she was flung out of the throne room and into a building on the other side of the palace.

"That's better, seeing as you are not taking me seriously about about this." Gohan said as he smiled. "You empires value your stars the most correct?" He asked as he aimed his finger at the star out in the distance and a beam of purple energy flew out of his finger and in the next second a massive explosion erupted as the star went supernova before disappearing.

"There I removed the pesky thing." He smiled and leaned back as the kings eyes widened in fear.

"Who are you!?" He asked as he stood up in anger and fear as the other kings all did the same and backed up.

"I already told you didn't I?" He smirked. "I am Lord Gohan, your God of Destruction." He answered as his smirk disappeared. "And you managed to royally piss me off." He said as he glared at the King who stepped back in fear. "Maybe you will learn your lesson if I take more stars from you?"

The situation seemed to dawn on him as he realized he screwed up. "Is there anything I can do to appease you?" He asked as he ran next to Gohan and dropped to his knees. "Anything at all my lord just speak it!" He said as Gohan glared at him.

"And this goes for you all." He said as he glared at them all as they flinched. "Unless I authorize the destruction of a planet do not take it upon yourselves to do so, am I clear?" Gohan asked as they nodded.

"Of course! But my lord how will we be able to fend off Apokolips?" The king asked. "Darkseid encroaches on our territory and the only way we can fend him off is if we drain planets of their power, we have already drained most of the stars in our territory and now our only option is to drain the planets of the traitors."

"If Darkseid were to defeat us he would destroy everything in the eastern galaxy." The king said as Vermont stepped forward.

"My lord there is some truth to his words, however, this Darkseid wishes to rule so he would not just mindlessly destroy worlds but he would not be open for negotiating." Vermont answered. "He would be a direct threat to your rule over the universe."

Gohan nodded and closed his eyes. "Let me deal with this Darkseid, you will reverse the damage you have done to planet Salagos in the south-eastern solar system before the planet ends up dying and killing all of its inhabitants."

"I barely have time to myself because I have to run around like your errand boy." Gohan said as he looked at the king. "Am I your errand boy?" He asked as the king shook his head.

"Of course not!" As Gohan nodded.

"Good, remember if you step out of line again I will just wipe out this whole eastern section that your empire controls." Gohan threatened as they nodded. "Life is sacred, I never want to see you desecrate it again."

Gohan stood as the warrior from before returned and swung her blade as Gohan turned and caught the blade between his fingers as his hair turned gold and his eyes turned teal. "You are impressive." He said as Vermont nodded.

"Indeed." He agreed.

The blade started to crack as Gohan snapped it with his fingers shocking her as she jumped back. "Stand down commander!" The king ordered as she stopped and bowed.

"Of course."

"This is Lord Gohan, a God of Destruction you will treat him with the respect he deserves!" As she nodded and bowed to Gohan.

"I apologize my lord!" She said as he waved it off as Vermont spoke.

"Lord Gohan, another problem appeared." Vermont stated as Gohan glanced at him.

"Seems like another planet is on the path of destruction." Vermont said as Gohan exhaled in irritation as he glanced at the king who raised his hands in defense.

"It is Darkseid, he sent a creature to earth and it is currently going on a rampage." He said as Gohan looked concerned before he relaxed.

"The Justice League should be more than sufficient." He stated as Vermont shook his head.

"Unfortunately the champion of earth has fallen." He said as Gohan's eyes widened. "What! Why did you only tell me now?" He asked as Vermont responded.

"You were busy with this matter and the champion was fairing quite well against it." He answered as Gohan appeared next to him. "Take me there." He said as he looked at the kings and queens.

"If I have to visit you again I will be sorely disappointed." Gohan said as they vanished in a flash of white light.
