Sentenza reached over and pressed the back of his hand against Bakade's forehead.
"Heh," he remarked to himself. "Should've figured it'd just feel like a skull."
He pulled his hand back and scratched his neck. With a groan he sat down in a chair next to Bakade's bed.
Sentenza reached into his pocket and pulled out a small bag. He seemed to weigh it in his hand before he set it back in his pocket. He patted his pocket and then nodded.
The assassin leaned back in the chair. He adjusted his hat down over his eyes and shifted in the chair as he got comfortable. He shifted this way, and then that. Finally, he seemed to find a good spot and let out a contented groan.
"Don't worry kiddo," Sentenza mumbled. "I'm here with you."
And like an elderly father, he fell asleep in the chair. With various strange grunts and the occasional snoring, he drifted off to sleep.
"I'm trying to tell you there's a problem!" Og'drimun shouted.
Narissa held a book above her head as she used a staff to smack a glowing red cube that pulsed with life, and was inching its way closer to her.
"If you couldn't tell, there's a problem down here too." Lulu pointed out.
The carnival girl was holding both ends of aope with her hands. The rope was tied to a bronze statue. She was pulling the rope tight, but the statue was just staying still, and showed no sign of any sort of life or movement.
"Pfft, you call this a problem?" Og'drimun scoffed. "At best this is like a magical inconvenience."
"I don't particularly care why you're here." Narissa said firmly as tendrils of purple energy twisted from her arm and down her staff where they pierced into the glowing cube. "But, I needed you hours ago!"

"Huh? Needed me? For what?" Og'drimun asked.
Narissa motioned vaguely to the magical mess of inert creatures, various oozes, and even a bubbling cauldron.
Og'drimun replied with slow blinks before he raised an eyebrow and shrugged. "I don't see the problem?"
Narissa put her head into her head as she shook it and groaned in frustration. "Just...just trust me on this, okay?"
"Huh? Why should I..." Og'drimun paused. "Wait! I almost forgot. We've got to go!"
"I already told you," Narissa scowled. "I need you here!"
"What? Who cares." Og'drimun repeated. "We've got bigger fish to fry. Our...friend...is back."
Narissa rolled her eyes. "Friend? Just spit it out. Whose such a big problem that I should stop my work?"
Og'drimun fiddled with his stubby hands and looked around nervously. "Well, you see. The uh...her executioner is back..."
Narissa let out a frustrated sigh as she rubbed her temple with her hand. "Why are you so nervous? Just say what you need to say!"
"The creature who you were talking to when you first called me from here," Og'drimun explained. "He isn't dead. He's...he's back here again."
"Who are you..." Narissa's eyes grew wide. "What? But we used the...how did he survjve?"
"I don't know," Og'drimun gulped before he regained his composure and normal haughtiness. "But whatever! They're back, they're here, and we need to get ready for their revenge. Ted's already up there setting up things with the new guys...except the glasses guy has wandered off somewhere..."
Narissa bit her lip.
"Okay, I'm a little lost. Care to fill a girl in?" Lulu asked.
"The shadowy creature we thought we had killed," Narissa explained. "Apparently he survived, and is back here."

"Okay," Lulu nodded. "That's trouble, but what does he want?"
Og'drimun shrugged. "He just said something cryptic about a golden goddess. I was kinda distracted just by him being back at all to really hear."
"What!" Narissa cried. "You saw him? Face to face?"
"Huh? Of course I did?" Og'drimun scoffed. "How else would I know he was here?"
"That changes everything." Narissa said as she stomped up to the tiny demon. "Quick, tell me absolutely everything. Every word. Every syllable. Every minute detail no matter how insignificant. I need to know everything!"
