I spent time talking with Ichika...

"Woah! Can I really have this!? Thank you so much for giving to me! I'll return the favour, I promise!"
"Hey Akiyama-san!" I waved cheerfully at the small girl.
"Oh! Akamatsu-san!"
"Ah-!" Out of nowhere, Ichika took my hand and held it up to face, dangerously close to her lips. I could feel her breath on my hand.
"To what do I owe the pleasure of conversing with the mighty Ultimate pianist?" Ichika grinned cheekily, looking up at me with my hand still close to her face.
I harshly pulled my hand away, feeling my face flare up. "W-What are you doing!?"
"I'm just greeting you, geez!" Ichika pouted. "Can't I greet a pretty girl formally?"
"There's no need to do that." I chuckled. "If you're going to greet me so formally because I'm an Ultimate, then I should be doing the same to you. Besides, I'm just an ordinary girl who likes the piano."
Ichika rolled her eyes. "Ordinary my butt, you wouldn't be an Ultimate if you were ordinary." Her eyes sparkled. "Hey! Can you teach me piano sometime? Can you!?"
I laughed. "Of course! I'd love to, only if you teach me some parkour moves!" I hummed. "Parkour seems to be quite a challenge. The focus and balance and precision you'd need so you wouldn't fall..."
"But of course! Parkour requires some intense training. I need to make sure I stay in shape and stay light too! Helps me move around much faster!"
> What kind of workouts do you do? ✔️
> That sounds tiring.
> Does your height give you an advantage in parkour?
"What kind of workouts do you do? Do you focus on any specific workout?"
"Uhh no, not really." Ichika scrunched her face up a bit. "You see, parkour uses the whole body, so I gotta focus on them all equally! No discrimination here!" she giggled. "But if I had to focus on one... I'd say the legs."
I crossed my arms and hummed. "The legs, huh?"
"Yeppers! Legs are very important! Especially when racing against timed parkour stages. Gotta stay fast and agile, and you reeeeally gotta use your legs when scaling up walls."
"You take parkour really seriously, huh?" I chuckled.
***
> What kind of workouts do you do?
> That sounds tiring. ✔️
> Does your height give you an advantage in parkour?
"That sounds exhausting. Don't you ever get tired of constantly working out?"
"Well yeah, working out IS tiring. It's honestly such a chore but if I didn't do it, I wouldn't be able to excel at parkour, y'know?" Ichika laughed lightly.

I nodded. "Yeah, that does make sense. It's like practising the piano. It's a constant cycle and if you don't keep it up, then you won't get better!"
"Bingo! You get it!" Ichika clapped her hands happily.
"You take parkour really seriously, huh?" I chuckled.

"Tell me, does your height give you any kind of advantage in parkour?"
Ichika paused and her face fell blank. "Huh? You calling me short?"
I then realized what I said and started to freak out. "N-No! I don't mean- Well I mean you are kinda- Wait no! I'm sorry I just-"
"Pfft- Hahahaha! Okay, okay calm down I forgive you!" Ichika laughed, clutching her stomach. "Oooh my god-"
"I-I didn't mean it in a bad way I was just curious-" I sighed, thankful she wasn't angry.
"No, I get where you're coming from and yeah!" Ichika sighed. "As much as I hate being this short, it's very helpful. Helps me get around quicker, y'know?"
"You take parkour really seriously, huh?" I chuckled.
"But of course!" Ichika pouted. "I wouldn't have my title if I didn't, no? Besides... I make a really good living on all the contests I participate in." She gave me a small wink.
"Oh that's really good, Akiyama-san!" I chirped.
"Call me Aki!" Ichika pouted. "We're friends, aren't we? So, therefore, we should give each other cute nicknames!"
"O-Oh! Of course! Sorry Aki-san." I smiled nervously.
"Hmmm... A nickname for you..." Ichika gasped and slammed her fist into her palm. "I got it! How does Kae-chan sound?"
"Kae-chan?" I smiled warmly. "I like that, it's cute!"
"Nyufufu, I know! A cute nickname for a cute girl!" Ichika smiled brightly with stars in her eyes.
"Geez, you and your compliments." I sighed with a small smile.
Ichika's report card has been updated based on your experience with her.
After a bit more talking with Ichika, I returned back to my room.
I found in Ichika the first-floor classroom, wandering about.
"Hi-ho! This place seems equally as creepy as pretty, don't you think?"
Should I hang out with Ichika for a while?
> Yes ✔️
> No
"The vegetation that has grown around the place makes it seem like it's something out of a TV show!"
I spent time talking about the classroom's vegetation with Ichika...
Ichika and I grew a little closer today.

"Oh wow! I never would've expected someone like you to have something so cool! Thank you!"
"It's Kae-chan! Hiiii Kae-chan!" Ichika was waving at me, slightly bouncing up and down.
"Hi yes, it's me." I chuckled nervously. "Y'know, I'm right here, you don't need to shout."
"I know I'm just excited to see you!" Ichika beamed. "Hey! Do you wanna go and chat in the dining hall? I'm craving something sweet right now, how about you?"
"Oh sure! What kind of sweet do you have in mind?" I asked.
"You'll see when we get there!" Ichika grabbed my hand and started dragging me to the dining hall.
"Hey, you don't need to drag me!"
We made it to the dining hall and Ichika disappeared into the kitchen for a bit. She came back out with two treats in her hand and gave one to me.

"Is this... taiyaki?" I asked, tilting my head.
"Yep! Only the best thing to ever exist." Ichika grinned and sat next to me. "It's filled with anko paste and be careful, it's hot." Just as she said that she took a huge bite.
"Didn't you just say it was hot!?" I gasped.
"Yeah?" Ichika giggled. "Anyway, I've been meaning to ask you... I'm assuming there are competitions for pianists, right?"
I nodded. "Yes, there are many. Why?"
"Have you ever participated in one?" Ichika asked, resting her head in her hand.
"Oh yeah, I have. I've won trophies at concerts, and while they can be a bit intimidating, they're always so much fun!" I looked at Ichika. "What about you?"
"Oh, but of course I have!" Ichika giggled. "In fact, I'm certain I've participated in waaay more than you have. As I said, I make a great living off of it."
"A great living? Do the contests you participate in have grand prizes?" I asked.
Ichika nodded with a bright smile. "They're all super prestigious tournaments too, so the prize money is always super generous."
"H-How much money are we talking about here...?" I asked nervously.
Ichika's smile grew bigger and turned smug. "A whoooole lot, darling."
"Oh wow... So basically, you're a rich girl?" I chuckled nervously.
"I mean, I guess you could say that." Ichika shrugged. "I never know what to do with the money though, so I often give it to charities and stuff."
"That's good! Nice to know that you don't just hoard all that money." I laughed nervously.
Ichika gave me a smirk. "But y'know Kae-chan... If you want, I don't mind getting you whatever you want."
I stared at Ichika. "Huh? What do you mean- Ah-!"
Without warning Ichika leaned in very close to me, our noses almost touching. Her smug smile never left her face as she pressed her index and middle finger into my chest. "I really like you Kae-chan! So I don't mind spending all my money on you, nyufufu."
With a bright blush, I battled Ichika away and she moved back to her seat. I let out a nervous cough. "Y-You make the weirdest jokes, Aki-San... B-But I'm guessing to have all that money; you must have a constant winning streak?"
"Oh definitely." Ichika grinned. "I've won every tournament. The other participants are actually more focused on taking me down than winning I've won so many. I'm pretty infamous."
"Isn't that scary!? Having so many people try and take you down!?" I cried out.
Ichika let out a hearty laugh. "Of course not! In fact, I welcome it! It just makes the games all the more fun! Watching everyone band together and try and take me down is actually a lot more fun than you realize!"
"Ah, well as long as you're having fun." I sighed with a smile. "Hey, we should visit each other's competitions once we get out of here!" I exclaimed with excitement.
Ichika blinked. "Huh?"
"When we get out of this game, I want to see you in action! I want to see what the Ultimate Parkourist can do!" I smiled warmly. "And if you want, you can come to one of my concerts! It may not be as interesting as parkour, but I'm sure you'll still enjoy it!"
"..." Ichika stared at me blankly for a bit, before a warm smile of her own spread across her face. "That... That sounds like a lot of fun. I'd love to see one of your concerts!"
"Great! I'm looking forward to it!"
With a new promise made with Ichika, I feel a happiness swirl within my chest. I'm sure Ichika will be able to expose me to all kinds of new experiences.
Ichika's report card has been updated based on your experience with her.
After a bit more talking with Ichika, I returned back to my room.
I found Ichika wandering around outside in the courtyard and I walked up to her.
"Monokuma has probably got something coming for us. We need to be prepared!"
Should I hang out with Ichika for a while?
> Yes ✔️
> No
"But I guess now's not the time to be worrying about it, is it? Anyway, I found a really tall tree somewhere around here and I wanna climb it!"
I spent time trying to prevent Ichika from climbing up trees too high and possibly breaking her bones...
Ichika and I grew a little closer today.

"Are you really giving this to me? Wow! Thank you so much, this is really nice of you!"
"Hey, Akiyama-san-"
"Call me Aki."
"O-Oh... okay. Just wondering... why do you like to be called 'Aki'?"
"It's just easier, y'know?" She chirped with a bright smile. "To be honest... I never liked Akiyama, and Aki sounds much cuter too!"
I blinked. She sounded rather solemn when saying she doesn't like her family name. Is there a reason for that?
"I actually have many nicknames!" Ichika giggled. "I've been called so many things, so I can proudly say that I am the owner of many nicknames, nyufufu!" She wore a proud expression on her face.
If you have so many how would you keep track of them all?
"Anyway, can I give you a nickname or two!?" She chirped suddenly.
I recoiled. "H-Huh!? Give me a nickna-"
"Alright, let's do it!"
I never even said yes!
"I've actually already thought up of a few nicknames for you while we were talking!"
I blinked. "Wh-What? You have?"
"Yeah! I'm a pretty good multitasker if I do say so myself!" Ichika grinned proudly. "Anyway, the first nickname I thought of was Shu."
"That's... a pretty nice nickname." I let out a small chuckle.
"But I also thought of the nickname Sai, like the traditional melee weapon used in Okinawa, or Ichigo! Isn't that adorable!?"
I blinked. "Huh!? Where did that come from?"
"Well, you have 'Ichi' in your name, no?" Ichika smiled innocently then pressed a finger to her cheek and pouted at me. "Then again, you don't look like a strawberry. That's berry unfortunate." She snickered at her own joke.
"I would hope I don't..." I let out a tired sigh.
"I think I'll just stick with Shu!" Ichika grinned. "It's a cute name, juuust like you, so it matches!"
"C-Cute!?" I shook my head, trying to get rid of the blush growing on my face. "I-I don't think I'd call myself that..."
"Awww c'mon, have some confidence!" Ichika's smile became a bit sinister. "Then again... Your shyness is really quite adorable y'know. Maybe you shouldn't change."
I sighed. This girl really doesn't let you have a breather...
"Soooo... what do you think!? I think Shu is the perfect nickname for you!" Ichika chirped.
> It's alright. ✔️
> I like it.
> Can I have something else...?
"It's... It's alright, I guess."
Ichika pouted. "Aww you sound disappointed. Well too bad." She grinned. "You're stuck with it because I said so."
"Um, right..." Well, I can't stop her even if I tried.
"So Shu, remember to call me Aki, alright! We're friends now, aren't we?" Ichika smiled brightly.
***
> It's alright.

> Can I have something else...?
"I actually kind of like it. It sounds nice." I smiled.
"Really? I'm glad you do! I mean, even if you didn't like it, I would've stuck with it anyway." Ichika snickered.
I chuckled. "Would you now?"
"Yeah! Like I said, it's super cute and it fits you!" Ichika grinned widely, smile akin to a happy child.
Well, as long as she's happy, I don't really mind too much.
"So Shu, remember to call me Aki, alright! We're friends now, aren't we?" Ichika smiled brightly.

> It's alright.
> I like it.
> Can I have something else...? ✔️
"Ah... Can I request another nickname, maybe?" I asked nervously.
Ichika crossed her arms and huffed. "Nope, absolutely not. I've settled on this nickname and you can't do anything about it."
"I-I just don't think it suits me is all..."
Ichika snickered. "What, you'd rather I call you something evil and edgy? What are you, five?"
I sighed. Should you of all people really be saying that...?
"So Shu, remember to call me Aki, alright! We're friends now, aren't we?" Ichika smiled brightly.
"Weren't we always friends?" I asked.
"Uh, yeah sure..." Ichika shrugged. "But now we're closer friends! I look humbly look forward to our future relationship as friends!" She spoke in a formal tone.
I blinked and chuckled. "Alright, you don't need to be so formal. I'm happy to be your friend too."
Ichika is much more playful than I honestly expected, but she is certainly quite interesting to be around.
Ichika's report card has been updated based on your experience with her.
Ichika and I parted ways and I returned to my room.
I found Ichika wandering the halls of the main building.
"Saihara-san! Have you seen those shoe lockers near the entrance!? Y'know, the ones that have our names on them?"
Should I hang out with Ichika for a while?

"How do they expect us to use them!? They're overrun with vegetation!"

"Woooah! I didn't know you were psychic! Are you in touch with supernatural spirits too?" Ichika then smiled. "Just kidding, though it would be cool if the supernatural existed!"
"Heyo Shu!" Ichika greeted energetically. "How have ya been lately?"
"Ah... so you're serious about the nickname thing?"
Ichika looked offended. "Of course I am!" She placed her hands on her hips and puffed her cheeks out. "I try to be a woman of my words!"
"You... try to be?" I chuckled nervously.
"Yeppers! Anyway, ya need anything? It looks like you want to ask me something." Ichika smiled brightly.
"Ah, yeah... I want to know more about your talent." I said with a small smile.
"Ooooh, interested in me, Shu?" Ichika broke out into a smug smile. "Hey I don't blame yoooouu, I'm adorable I know." She giggled.
I frantically shook my head. "W-Wait! No, not like that I-"
Ichika laughed and lightly elbowed my side. "I jest, I jest. You're so cute when you freak out like that." Ichika's laughter died down after a bit and she looked at me expectantly. "So, whaddya wanna know?"
> How did you get into parkour? ✔️
> Do you enjoy it?
> Is parkour just jumping around?
"How did you first get into doing parkour?" I asked.
Ichika paused and her face fell blank. "Ooooh, you want me to go waaay back."
"W-Was that a bad question?" I asked in a panic.
Ichika broke out into a smile. "No no of course not! Just uhhhh... where do I start?" She hummed. "Well I started pretty young. I lived in an area near a whole lot of trees and I often found myself climbing them when I was bored."
"You lived in an area with a lot of trees?" I asked, tilting my head slightly.
"Yeah, it was a pretty traditional area." Ichika chuckled.
"Traditional huh?" Ichika doesn't strike me as the type to live in such an olden style place.
Hey, maybe I should teach you how to do parkour some time! I promise it's fun!" Ichika smirked.

"How did you first get into doing parkour?" I asked.
"Do you enjoy doing parkour? It seems quite tiring."
"But of course I do!" Ichika grinned. "Parkour is endless fun! I get to travel aaaalll over the world to compete in contests! I've seen so many beautiful places and learnt so much about different cultures and languages! And the competitions are always so so much fun!" She giggled happily.
"Ah, you compete in parkour? For what?" I asked, tilting my head.
"For many things! To prove you're the fastest, money, show off your skills and for fun of course!" Ichika grinned.
"Sounds intense." I chuckled. "Well it's nice to know you enjoy it so much."
