《Rebellious Spouse {T.K}》Chapter - 6

A month passed by within a blink of an eye. In these days, the jeons were invited to kims mansion and jungkook got the chance to meet taehyung again.
Although, they didn't get the privilege to talk privately because apparently, kims had an orthodox mentality and they didn't want to let the soon to be husbands alone. What if some inappropriate things happen?
They just exchanged few normal words of how life is going, when they were siting beside each other in the living room or in the dinner table.
The Jeons suggested for the soon to be husbands to share the numbers but the kims denied that too, saying what if they get into argument which might led to bigger consequences. Kids now a days are so ignorant so they didn't wanna take a risk and convinced the jeons to accepted their decision.
Finally, it was the engagement day.
Yejin and shinhye did all the arrangements. Now too jeons suggested to ask the couple about their preference but Yejin denied saying what will they say about wedding arrangements, it should be done by elders.
Though the jeons agreed but shinhye secretly asked for jungkook's preferences and did as he wanted her to do.
Where as Yejin didn't even bother to ask taehyung saying she knows what taehyung wants or like.. Well does she?
Anyway, taehyung doesn't have any problem with it as long as he was marrying jungkook. Yeah! He really wanted to marry the pretty ravenette, so does jungkook.
The arrangements were nothing out of usual. The same typical expensive grand decorations. They booked a resort and decorated the garden beautifully. The only difference is the theme was in black which shinhye suggested as per jungkook's preference and Yejin agreed as it would be unique.
The news of two most reputed families being one by marrying their younger sons, spread like wild fire.
Many people were disappointed because they wanted to marry their own children with any one of them and many were happy saying they look like a perfect match, not only on the basis of financial or social status but also as a couple.

Taehyung wore a black tuxedo with white button up which also his mother chose, his natural make up and hair was perfectly done adding more to his handsomeness. Well credit goes to Taeri who appointed the best stylist for her brother.
The kims were the first to reach the venue. Their clothes, jewelry, in fact their whole appearance screams money.
Then the Jeons arrived looking equally stunning. And jungkook's look left everyone's mouth to hang wide open.
The reaction of people satisfied the kims who had a proud expression seeing their son-in-law.
Jungkook wore a beautiful black ball gown that Yejin chose for him and was gifted by her. Everything jungkook wore was given by the kims, from his jewelry to even his lingerie, everything.
Some might think it's show off but it's one of the rule Kims followed since ancestors. They provide everything to the new to-be bride/groom in every marriage ceremony.
Though, jungkook wanted to choose his own but at least he was glad it was in black and not that bad for his liking.
The families greeted each other. They introduced the grooms to their relatives and other friends and close business partners.
Then Taehyung and jungkook was led towards the beautifully decorated isle to complete the ring ceremony.
Yoongi gave the ring to jungkook who took it with a heavy sigh before turning towards the taller male and sliding it in taehyung's ring finger.
Taeri gave the ring to Taehyung who held jungkook soft small hands in his bigger and slightly rough ones, which was trembling and shaking a little before sliding the ring on the slender ring finger of the younger.
Jungkook hands looked so good and perfect in taehyung's that the older couldn't take his eyes off them. He wanted to kiss it lovingly but knowing his parents conservative mentality, public display of affection is considered as disrespectful.
First encounter is a different matter the soft kiss on the knuckles is a way to show respect. But now it's different, if taehyung kiss jungkook's knuckles now it will be a sign of affection which should be done behind the doors.

The newly engaged couple was sitting on the family table beside each other. Many couples were dancing except for kims of course.
Jungkook was so bored and at least wanted to get some drink but the kims had anothe rule. Drinking is prohibited and limited to expensive champagne only.
When people gets drunk they loose their self control and kims has a reputation. They couldn't afford to have a scandal of any of their family members going berserk or doing insane stuffs because then media wouldn't loose the chance to stretch the news like chewing gum and add numerous spices in it.
Thus, he was sipping on the fancy drink elegantly as if he doesn't want to just gulp down the whole bottle of bear or any strong drink. He had a high tolerance so it doesn't matter to him.
"How are you?", jungkook asked lowly just for his fiance's ears. The melodic voice snapped taehyung out of his dazed stated who was lost thinking something.
"Good.. What about you?", he questioned further lowly but it was still deep as oceans.
Jungkook thought he has a thing for deep voice because whenever he talked to taehyung, his deep soothing voice do some funny things to his heart and stomach.
"Good", jungkook replied shortly before sipping his drink.
"How is life?", taehyung asked to continue the conversation.
"Smooth, if we ignore the fact that I am getting married after literally two months", jungkook humoured chuckling.
"Do you regret?", taehyung asked with furrowed brows, his voice was slightly shaky because he didn't want to hear the answer his mind was telling him.
"Time will say whether I have any or not", jungkook gave a tight lipped smile at the older who had an blank expression on his face but nodded anyway.
Taehyung couldn't ask anything further nor did jungkook. Both got busy in their own thoughts.
Jungkook kept the empty glass and was about to grab another one. The action was noticed by Somin who smirked getting the chance to mock jungkook.
"Jungkookie.. Wasn't that your forth glass?", Somin said faking a worried frown in her forehead.
"Uh! I don't know.. Were you counting?", jungkook's voice was polite and soft but the phrase was anything but polite.
Somin was taken aback because she thought jungkook would be embarrassed.
Taeri smirked hearing the answer jungkook gave because she herself don't like Somin but didn't say anything. She is someone who would observe everything quietly and speak at the correct time. And knows how to pour oil in fire very well.
"No I was just worried.. You shouldn't drink that much it might effect your health", she quickly made up a reason.
"This is non-alcoholic champagne, noona", jungkook said as a matter of fact.
And this made Somin embarrassed because she didn't new that fact.
"Somin dear... Let him drink what he likes because i'm sure he knows his limits....also the drinks here are non-alcoholic", Yejin said smiling at her daughter-in-law but that smile clearly say how irritated she was.
She doesn't want to create a negative image in front of the jeons. And mocking jungkook even before marriage can led to many unwanted drama which the kims couldn't afford to have. It will also effect their reputation.
Yejin of course knows how somin is and clearly knows her dislike for jungkook.
The older lady was anyway bitter with her because somin tried to convince and manipulate her to change her decision and choose the girl somin preferred for taehyung. It really infuriated yejin because clearly it's disobeying her decision.
They had a drama because of this reason which ended with Jongin scolding Somin in front of everyone because she tried to meddle in his parent's decision. Somin had to apologize to his parents properly.
"Sorry I didn't know..i was just worried for him", somin said and diverted her attention to a tired whining jungmin. And the rest of the family got themselves busy with their own thing.
The rest of ceremony went smoothly and ended near midnight, the guest and families return back to their respective home after bidding good bye to each other.

God complex
A hero is summoned to another world, vanquishes evil, yadda yadda, saves the kingdom and lives happily ever after. There is no such hero in this story. Just a desperate youth with great ambition and very little to lose. A zero to hero style story set in a country clearly inspired by modern USA with just as many issues and the minority of mages often pulling strings from the shadows. I am also hoping the whole thing won't turn out edgy enough to cut me. I want to rely on actual good writing rather than cheap powertrip gimmicks. edit: Please don't mind Zetari's salty review. He is quite literally making up any use of the torture and human experimentation trope and says MC is blank after 4 chapters where he conveniently stops reading just at the start of his first character development. For extra entertainment, I will be uploading chapters two at a time and compose a relevant poem through the chapter names. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
