《The Mandalorian of Attack On Titan.》Chapter 8

The fall of Wall Maria was something not many expected nor were prepared for. The Garrison did their best to organize a proper evacuation but with the amount of people rushing to the boats, it was extremely hectic. With the lack of combat experience, the Garrison couldn't stop the onslaught of the titan coming through the city. Mando was making his way to find Carla and Eren so he could leave Mikasa with them and hold back the titans until they were evacuated.
Mando:"Where are they!?" He was flying through the air using his jetpack while he held tightly onto Mikasa. The titans were definitely monsters but he's seen worse back in his old galaxy. As he made his way onto another street, he found Hannes, Carla, and Eren at the gate waiting to get through.
Mando:'There they are, now I need to leave her here so I can find a way to hold them off.'
He landed right next to them causing a ton of people to look their way. Eren and Carla were ecstatic to see that the duo were safe and sound.
Carla:"We thought you were dead!"
Eren:"Mikasa!"
Mando:"Hannes what's the situation!"
Hannes:"Everyone is trying to get through the gate and into the boats. I can get you all onto the boats but it'll take some time. The titans are everywhere and we're doing our best to hold them back."
Mando:"Alright, I'll go back out there and hold them off for as long as I can until you all make it to safety. I'll give you this comlink and you press this button to contact me that they're safe and away." Mikasa overheard their discussion and started panicking.
Mikasa:"NO! I won't let you leave again, papa! Stay here with us, please don't leave me again!!" She tried pleading with him but he knew better.
Mando:"Mikasa, if we don't hold them off, you along with everyone else will die. I can hold my own for a good while so, please, go with them."
Mikasa:"Noooo, I don't want you to go!" She continued to squeeze his arm causing him to undergo pain but he held it in.
Mando:"I will be fine, you have my word. Now go, I need to hold them off, I'll be back, I promise." He gently wiped away her tears to calm her down. She untightened her grip around his arm and nodded but looked down at the ground. He got up and started to walk off until he felt a tug on his cape.
Mikasa:"Be safe, papa."
Getting the purpose of wanting to come back as quick as he could, he set off into the air to deal with the titan threat.
-----
The titans overran the city and caused destruction everywhere they went. Some houses he passed by were covered in red, signifying the many deaths of the innocent.
Mando:"Hopefully I have enough to bring down some. Levi said to strike them in the nape, let's see if that's true." He gained a bit of altitude with his jetpack and did a dive to gain speed. He immediately spotted a group of titans surrounding several civilians.

Woman:"Ahhhh, help us!"
Man:"Please, not like this!"
Mando swooped in and fired his blaster pistol at several at the titans killing 3 and leaving 2 more. He passed around again and used his Dark Saber to slice their napes, this effectively killed all 5. The group of civilians were astonished that a random stranger, of which they've never seen, had saved them from impending doom.
Mando:"All of you run now! Get to safety!" He pointed in the direction of the boats.
Woman:"Will you protect us!?"
Mando:"I will, get a move on! I'll go into the air and scout around for any threats, move!" They got a move on as he made his way to find more titans. He spotted another which held onto a civilian in the titans grasp.
Mando:'Damn!' He brought up his arm and fired a set of whistling birds at the titan.
The blast radius wasn't as big as he hoped for but the impact definitely caused the titan to drop the civilian. Mando swooped in and caught the man before he fell to his death.
Man:"Thank you sir! You're a real life saver!"
Mando:"Don't mention it, I got a column of people already going to the gate. I'll drop you off with them and I'll need you to run when you get there." He told him. The man nodded his head and just like Mando wanted, the man ran for his dear life. He flew back into the air and looked around the surrounding city, seeing dozens of titans pour in.
Mando:"Geez, they're weak but in numbers they can overrun a place.
*Boom!*
A lightning strike struck near Mando, kicking up dust and cloud puffs. As the dust clouds settled, what stood not far from him was a peculiar titan.
Since Mando wore armor, he could immediately tell that this titan was covered in it from head to toe. He wondered how tough it was to even crack it or kill it for that matter. He was interrupted when the titan started moving forward and ran towards something.
Mando:'Where's he going? Oh no, the gate!' He quickly scrambled towards the lumbering beast as he made his way to the gate. Mando didn't know much about this new titan but he knew the intentions of wanting the gate down.
-------
Garrison:"Let's go, let's go! Women and children first!"
Carla:"Come now, we need to get on the boat." She hurried the children. Hannes helped the trio get onto a boat since there wasn't many to accommodate the large quantity of people making it hard to board one. As Carla and the kids boarded the boat, Hannes used the comlink that Mando gave him to contact him of their safety. He worked the comlink as he was shown by Mando but couldn't get into contact. He tried once more but stopped when everyone started panicking.
*Thud thud thud*
*Boom Boom*
Garrison:"What's that rumbling?"

Woman:"What's going on!?"
The heavy thudding and sounds of cannon fire can be heard from the other side of the gate. The Garrison soldiers manned artillery cannons to try and stop the armored titan as it continued to make it's advance on the gate. The cannonballs simply bounced off the durable armor of the armored titan which caused the soldiers to scramble or panic.
The remaining soldiers that stayed, continued firing volley after volley in hopes of stopping it. The armored titan bounced all the cannonballs and kept up his momentum as he finally neared the gate and demolished it completely.
The surrounding evacuees and soldiers were shocked at what stood in front of them. A titan, standing at 15 meters tall, stayed in his crouched position while opening his mouth and letting steam come out. Nobody dared move or even speak as they didn't know if this one would kill them. All stayed quiet and still until the titan let out a deafening cry. The reason for this was because of one man that opposed it, the Mandalorian. Mando had his Dark Saber drawn out and ready for a fight.
'You're fighting against the blade...'
'It gets heavier with each move...'
'There, feel it? You are too weak to fight the Dark Saber. It will win if you fight against it.'
Having barely any experience with the Dark Saber, Mando remembered his brief session with The Armorer.
Mando:If I don't fight against it, maybe I can make this last long enough to deal damage against it.'
He ran towards the feet of the armored titan as he was now back on the ground. The titan saw this and quickly brought up his leg to smash the man but was a second late. Mando used his jetpack to get him close and he sliced the Achilles Heel of the beast. Once again, he let out another roar while falling down from the sudden attack. Mando flew up into the air and dodged an incoming swat from him, the swat proved ineffective as Mando sliced off the titan's hand. With the hand falling to the ground, he flew up again and closed in on the nape but was stopped by a large amount of steam arrising from the nape. Mando immediately pulled away because of his helmet fogging up from all the steam. As he gained a good distance from the titan, he discovered it to be inactive as he no longer moved or roared. Mando flew down to confirm his suspicions and found the nape wide open.
Mando:'What in the world? I never struck the nape though so why did it die?' His thoughts were interrupted when he was suddenly surrounded by a number of Garrison soldiers aiming their rifles at him.
Garrison:"Who are you!? How did you kill it!?
Garrison:"Sir, permission to fire!"
Hannes:"Wait, wait, wait! I know him, he's with me and he doesn't mean any harm so back off!" He quickly intervened. Taking his word, the soldiers all backed down since their problem was still needing attention.
Mando:"The titan busted down the wall, we need to get the people out of here while we distract them!"
Garrison:"Who are you to give orders like that!?"
Hannes:"He brought down that beast of a titan without breaking a sweat so unless you want to die by his hand, be my guest. I'll help the citizens evacuate while you lead a squad to defend the gates opening."
Mando:"Sounds good, did they make i-"
Hannes:"Yes they made it, now go! We got people depending on you!" He cheered him on. As Mando turned around to leave, all the citizens and some Garrison soldiers started applauding him for his brave action. Without him, they all feared that the armored titan may have eaten them all.
----
Eren:"That was awesome! Mom did you see him!? You're lucky you have such a great dad, Mikasa!" He rejoiced at the defeat of the titan and Mando's 'victory'.
Carla:"Yes, thank goodness he made it on time. Are you okay, Mikasa?"
Mikasa:"Mhm, I miss papa. I don't want him to die, I don't want to lose more family." She replied while clutching her red scarf. Carla walked over to her and gave her a comforting hug.
Carla:"He won't, your father is a strong man, Mikasa. Have faith in him and I'm sure he'll make it back alive."
Mikasa:"M'kay, I trust him."
-----
Back with Mando.
He led a small force of Garrison troops while the evacuation was proceeding without any problems. The gear they had on them to allow them maneuver in air, fascinated him as they were weird contraptions. He had the thought of trying it out and training with it as he never knew when his jetpack might run out of fuel. He snapped out his thoughts when his men spotted a group of titans nearing the gates entrance.
Mando:"Alright, two of you head to the right and the other two, to the left. This will allow you guys to pincer the titans and hopefully lower the deaths. Don't think about dying, only think about killing them and the safety of the citizens."
Soldiers:"Yes sir!"
Mando watched from a distance and took out any extra straddlers that made their way to the gate. As he flew through the air, he noticed a teenage girl walking throughout the city, unprotected. Deciding he must go and rescue her, he swooped down and landed right next to her.
Mando:"Hey, it's dangerous for you to be here miss. The evacuation is already going on, I can take you there." The black-haired young lady turned around and stared at him. She then wore a smile on her face and spoke.
???:"I found you."

Your species has been judged as too violent for integration into the Galactic Conglomerate and thus the decision has been made to relegate you to a probationary period during which members of your species will be pitted against each other in games of lies and betrayal. Unfortunate, but the great thing about a probationary period is that it can end! How can we do that; you might be asking. Well, that's easy, if those participants can earn enough points through playing the games, they can potentially buy out your probationary time. Of course, other rewards will also be on offer for success in the games, and if none of your species chooses to be selfless, well then it just goes to show that you wouldn't have been a good fit for us anyway. All those on Earth unlucky enough to not be chosen to become part of one of the most popular shows on Galactic Television, fear not. We will be streaming the various games your race is participating in all across the world.
