The duo followed Levi back to his Scout headquarters to met up with Erwin. Before they left, they stopped by the Jaeger household to get extra clothing and necessities for the young girl. Back on the journey, they were quiet on the way there up until Levi decided to break the silence.

Levi:"Say, why did you give yourself up to the MP's so early?"

Mando:"Not sure"

Levi:"Hmm, where did you learn how to move like that?"

Mando:"Me?"

Levi:"No, the girl."

Mikasa:"Uhm, I didn't learn that anywhere. No one taught me how to fight like that."

Levi:"I see..."

Mando:"Why did you ask her that?"

Levi:"To confirm my suspicions about her but don't worry, it's nothing bad only a thought."

Mando:"Right..." He then noticed a large structure coming up in the distance.

Mando:"Is that the headquarters?"

Levi:"Yeah."

Mikasa:"Papa, it looks pretty."

Mando:"Looks decent, this'll be where I train?"

Levi:"Maybe, Erwin might have dummy titans set up for you around the base. You might have to keep an eye out for Four-eyes as she might want to do experiments on you." When he said 'experiments', Levi shivered at the thought of that as he was once a subject of hers.

Mando:"I'll do my best to keep an eye out for her then."

The trio made it to the gate of the HQ where they saw Hange and tall blonde haired man.

Hange:"So this is where you went, Levi. You went to get our friends and brought them here."

Levi:"I only did it so that you could shut up, we have to hear you rambling everyday."

Erwin:"We understand that but next time tell us before you leave. Now then, I trust Levi didn't give you a hard time?"

Mando:"On the contrary, he helped us out."

Erwin:"Really? That's something new coming out of Levi."

Levi:"Shut it."

Hange:"Oooh, you brought little Mika with you! Would you like to come with me so we can find a suitable room for you and your papa?" She asked the girl. Mikasa dismounted the horse along with her father and hid behind his legs as this is the second time she's met the crazy scientist.

Mando:"As long as you don't do anything weird to her then it's fine with me."

???:"Captain!" The five of them turned to the source of the voice finding it to be a girl that looked in her late teens.

???:"Eh? Am I interrupting something?"

Levi:"What is it, Petra?"

Petra:"We need your help about this move we're trying to perfect. The others said it might be useful if you could show us what we can improve on."

Levi:"I'll be there shortly, for now continue training by yourselves."

Petra:"Yes sir! Oh....who are they?"

Hange:"Hoohhh! Petra, you can help me show Mikasa around the HQ! It's a perfect little outing with just us girls!"

Petra:"Eh!? But...but Captain Levi told me to return to training."

Levi:"Ah, darn well might as well go with Hange for now. Go ahead and skip training for now, do whatever she asks for now."

Petra:"Eh?"

Mikasa and Mando could only stare, dumbfounded at what was going on in front of them. Mando walked up to Petra and stared her up and down.

Mando:"Hmm, she'll do." This confused the group as they didn't understand that.

Petra:"Erm, I'll do for what?"

Mando"Would you be able to watch over her during my training?"

Erwin:"Hold on there, normally it'll be up to me for these kind of situations but in this case she falls under Levi's command." He intervened, Mando then turned towards Levi for an answer.

Levi:"For training I'm fine with but when we go out for expeditions, you'll need to find someone else. She's important in my squad as is everyone else."

Mando"That's fine with me, I just want somebody that you or Erwin knows to watch over her."

Hange:"Wha? What about me?" He turned towards her but couldn't find the right answer since she's a bit 'special'.

Erwin:"Great, now that this is settled with. Could you follow Levi and I so we can show you around? I still wish to see your abilities and also if you're able to take a dummy titan down."

Mando:"Sounds good." He then walked back to Mika who was waiting silently.

Mando:"Alright, you're going with Hange and Petra until I finish, understood?"

Mikasa:"Yes, papa." She then gave him a quick hug before he left.

Erwin:"Follow me."

With Mikasa

The two adults and little girl were walking around the HQ, gaining much attention. The attention, however, was being directed at Mikasa since her race was very rare as well as her being the first child to be on base. After finishing touring the inside, they decided to head back outside to get some fresh air.

Hange:"You like your dad a lot, right little Mika?"

Mikasa:"Huh, uhm, yes I do. Why do you ask?"

Hange:"Well you've been really quiet during the whole tour and you're mostly a bit talkative when he's around."

Mikasa:"Oh, I'm sorry."

Hange:"Oh my goodness, you're so adorable!" She turned around and picked her up.

Petra:"Have you seen his face before? I don't think I've ever seen something like that before."

Hange:"No, but I'm pretty sure he's a man if you're wondering."

Petra:"Where do you think he got all the stuff from?"

Mikasa:"Uhm, papa said that he's not from around here."

Petra:"Wait, wouldn't that mean you're also not from around here?" She asked which caused Mika to look down, saddened by the question.

Hange:"You should be careful with what you say, Petra. Mika has gone through some traumatizing events."

Petra:"I'm so sorry, I didn't know!" She quickly apologized. She then thought of way a cheer her up.

Petra:"Say, I also have some little brothers and sisters and I'm sure that they'll love to play with you! They're around your age and they're really playful as well!" That caused Mika to look up at her while looking a bit better.

Mikasa:"Really?"

Petra:"Yes really! I'm sure your father would allow you to go to my parents house to watch over you while he's busy."

Hange:"That's right, all we gotta do is ask your father and see what he says. How about it Mika, would you want to ask your dad?"

Mikasa:"Mhm, we can ask him."

Hange:"That's great, now all we gotta do is go find him. Petra, do you know where Erwin had those dummies set up?"

Petra:"No not really, we can try asking my squad though. They've been catching glimpses of the Captain and Commander working with other members getting things set up."

Hange:"Perfect, off we go!" She then hurried off with little Mika in her arms leaving Petra behind.

Petra:"Wait for me!"

With Mando

After leaving the girls to do their thing, the three men went over deep into the woods and met up with several Scouts. Erwin gave the order to prepare the dummy titans so Mando could try and take them down.

Erwin:"Alright, this will be a test to see if you can take down all titans without crashing into them. You have to complete the course within the time given or you fail."

Mando:"Got it, has anyone ever completed this course quicker than the time given?"

Erwin:"Yes, it was Levi but he's a highly talented person so no need to rush this."

Levi:"You strike them at the back in the nape. You'll see it very quickly when you charge them."

Erwin:"Have you any experience with ODM gear?"

Mando:"OD-what?"

Levi:"Shoot, I forgot to teach him the basics."

Mando:"It's fine but I have my own way of getting into the air."

Erwin:"Well if you can then by all means go for it. Whenever you're ready, we shall begin." He nodded and Erwin began the time. He then ran off to use his jetpack and get him in air.

Erwin and Levi were astonished by this new piece of technology that was just shown in front of them. Both couldn't comprehend how that thing got him into the air, they then thought of how Hange would have the time of her life.

Mando:'Right, just look for the dummies.' He thought while soaring through the air passing by the trees and branches. No sooner after the thought, he spotted two of them coming right up.

He set his blaster pistol to the highest setting as he aimed and shot the target. The shot sounded throughout the forest even startling the Scouts who were manning the dummies.

Scout 1:"The hell was that!?"

Scout 2:"Look over there!"

The blaster bolts completely vaporized the fake napes of the dummies as he passed them. Another group of two popped up so he used his helmets external targeting rangefinder to launch his gaunlets set of missiles.

He shot the set off as he passed by which they later detonated, destroying the titans. The sounds of explosions and blaster fire reached all the way to where Erwin and Levi were at.

Erwin:"I presume all those sounds are coming from the course?"

Levi:"Don't ask me, I don't even know what he's using." They both then turned towards the footsteps that came from behind them. Hange, Petra, and Mikasa all the appeared in a rush.

Petra:"What's going on, what are those explosions!?"

Erwin:"It seems our friend has some hidden tricks up his sleeve that he's using in the course. You were right Hange, this man may help us against the Titans."

Hange:"Wooohoooo! I told you Levi, I was right about him!"

Levi:"Goodness, can't you be a bit less loud."

Mikasa:"Papa..."

Erwin:"Don't worry, your father is only going against wooden props."

The sound of the the jetpack came closer and closer until Mando eventually came back. Erwin stopped the timewatch and was surprised by how close he was to Levi's original time, close but still a bit off. Upon seeing the young girl, he bent down and held out his arms as Mikasa came back into his arms for an embrace.

Mando:"Did you have fun with Hange and Petra?"

Mikasa:"Yes but you took too long, I got a bit lonely."

Mando:"Well, I'll try and perform a bit better next time. Erwin, how did I do?"

Erwin:"You did better than expected, you were almost close to Levi's original time. Albiet a minute and a half longer than his but you did well." This shocked the other three adults including Humanities Strongest Soldier.

Hange:"Today is just full of surprises! He can be a valuable player on the playing field, Erwin!"

Petra:"Ehhhhh!?"

Levi:"You did well, you might be able to make it to be on my squad if you can keep it up." He then walked off to head back and check up on his squad while Petra followed.

Erwin:"I know this may be a stretch but could we examine your equipment? We have something that allows us to move in air but it's vastly different to what you have on your back."

Mando:"Sure, I can see you guys have a tough opponent now that I see how tall those things are. Hopefully this can help you improve your designs on whatever you use." Hange overheard this and couldn't hold back her excitement any longer as she started rambling random noises.

Hange:"Ohmygoshwecanfinallyihqksifjejw!!!!"

Erwin:"Hehe, it seems Hange has a full day ahead of her tomorrow. Would you two like to head back with us and rest? In a couple of weeks, we'll have an upcoming expedition and if you train with us then you might tag along."

Mando:"I'll accept the offer, thank you."

Mikasa:"Papa, can I ask you something later?"

Mando:"Sure thing, kid. Let's go, I'm starving."

They all then departed the training field and set off to the HQ to end the day.
