《True Love [BxB] (Unedited)》Chapter 7

Jeon Jungkook POV
"Are you still not going to say anything?" Seokjin asked from his seat next to me as he drank his whiskey and eyed me as if I was going to do something.
That was the old me.
The me that still cared about what people thought about me and wanted to change those perceptions. But that was all before him.
Park Jimin.
The man I had made the mistake of trusting and falling in love with, only to have him betray me in the worst way possible. Although I had made him pay for that mistake, his death still haunts me till today and serves as I reminder that love is nothing but a false illusion.
"I have nothing to say." I replied as I took the last sip of my drink and turned to face him with my emotionless expression.
"I just told you that your father is getting you a new right hand man and you have nothing to say about that? Jungy you cease to surprise me." He said as he shook his head and laughed.
"Don't call me that." I said as I looked at him sternly.
"And what difference does it make whether I want or need a right hand man, the old man does what he wants anyway." I shrugged as I poured myself another glass and took a gulp out of it.
"How many have you had so far? You have a meeting tomorrow, you should stop now" he said as he took the bottle from my hands earning himself a slap on the hand.
"Don't touch my whiskey"
A few glasses later, he had to practically carry me to the car and lay me in the backseat as he drove to the mansion.
Although he was the leader of the Kim Group, he didn't allow or trust anyone to drive him around and did it himself and the fucker had the nerve to call me paranoid.
I resisted the urge to throw up when sped over a speed bump, somehow knowing he did that on purpose for me not listening to him again.

My patience was further tested when he stopped at a cafe for some unknown reason and got out, leaving me to lay there in the backseat.
I must have waited for what felt like hours before he finally came back with two steaming espressos and handed me one. I took it and looked at him questionably while I sipped the bitter liquid.
"I'm not about to take shit from the old man for your drunken state. Drink up and pray you sober up before we reach the mansion." He said as he started the engine and pulled off.
I rolled my eyes and quietly sipped the drink as I leaned my head against the window and found myself smiling despite the pain in my chest as I recalled a memory.
Flashback ( eight months ago)
"God you're so drunk" Jimin said as he struggled to carry my weight as I leaned on him while he walked down the corridor to my room.
"Baby I'm hardly drunk." I slurred as I almost stumbled on my feet causing him to chuckle.
Somehow, that sound alone was enough to make my heart beat ten times faster than it normally would and I found myself smiling at the sound, wanting to hear so much more of it.
"The fact that you just called me that proves how wasted you are. Come on, let's get you in the tub." He said as we walked to the bathroom where he helped me strip down and helped me into the tub of hot water.
"Sit still, I'm going to get a sponge" he said and attempted to let go off my hand and suddenly it was like my body went into panic at the thought of him leaving me and I subconsciously , without even knowing what I was doing, grabbed him into the tub with me, causing the water to splash and spill around us.
"Jungkook! What are you doing?" He asked as his clothes all got soaked in the water.

I ignored his panicked state and buried my face in the crook of his neck and inhaled the sweet scent of the honey lotion he always used and smiled to myself.
"Promise me you won't leave me Jiminie." I whispered as I pressed a kiss to the side of his neck and felt the goosebumps spread across his skin.
"What are you saying?" He asked as he giggled and tried to get out of my grip.
"Promise me" I repeated and watched him smile as he placed his wet hands on the side of my face and nudged his nose against mine.
I promise you. I love you." He whispered as he pressed a chaste against my lips.
"I love you too. Always."
Flashback ended..
I closed my eyes to stop the tears from falling as I remembered that moment. I hated it when I got drunk, because then I had no power over what I remembered and what I didn't.
"You okay buddy?" Seokjin asked from the driver's seat.
"I miss him" I uttered and felt my voice tremble a little making me stop talking before I broke down.
"I know. So do I." Jin replied.
The rest of the drive was silent. None of us really knowing what to say next and instead took comfort in each other's silence.
Not a day goes by, wherein I don't regret what I did. Sure I hated him for lying to me, but that didn't mean I should have killed him for it. I knew it was what everyone wanted, but I should have never let my anger control me, and I ended up doing something that killed me along with him.
"We're here." Jin said as he stopped the car and turned off the engine.
He turned around to face me and handed me a tissue. I took it from him without looking him in the eyes, and wiped my eyes before I cleared my throat and ran a hand through my hair.
"Listen. Don't tell anyone about what I said." I said as I looked out the window and stared at my mansion.
"Of course. I'd never say anything." He said as he smiled and wiped a stray tear from the corner of my eye before helping me out of the car and down the driveway into the house.
I tried to make as little noise as possible, not wanting to alert anyone of my presence in case I said and did something stupid which they could use against me later on.
We walked down the corridor to my room when I heard voices coming from the study. I looked at Seokjin who too looked at confused as to who it might be. He looked at me and shrugged as he continued walking to my room.
"Jungook? Is that you?" My father asked making me roll my eyes and slowly walk to the study trying my best not to stumble on the way.
"Yes father?" I asked as I saw him standing by the window probably talking to whoever it was that had his back towards me.
All I could see was the back of his blond head as he spoke to my father about something making my father nod.
"Jungkook, there's someone I want you to meet." He said as he gestured to the man who turned around to face me with a smile that completely stole my breath away.
But it wasn't the fact that he was beautiful that caused my sudden loss of breath, but rather the fact that he was so familiar. That smile, those eyes, were all something that I had seem before and yet I couldn't remember.
Suddenly, everything around seemed to spin as the man held out his hand towards me.
"It's nice to meet you sir. I'm -"
"Jimin"

Yin-Yang
Mages in North America seem to have it all – typically from well-off families, and able to manipulate their environment in ways most of the world would never believe. They don’t even have to bother with the mundane details of life like housework, thanks to their sensitives, who also make a useful source for extra magical energy. After all, sensitives have no use for it themselves, and if mages weren’t meant to make use of it, then the sensitives would obviously have some way to prevent that. That a mage can transform a sensitive physically, with no restrictions beyond overall mass and basic biological viability, whereas magic tends not to work directly on any other living thing, is only further proof. And look at the way they live on their own, barely a step above animals. It’s better for them to belong to a mage. Sensitives in North America live on the edge of society and survival – typically so paranoid they avoid hospitals and anything else that could lead to being tracked, many of them with little or no education and no legal identity or existence. Mages exist, and mages want sensitives for some reason, but no one ever comes back to explain what that reason is. Waiting every day for the hunters to notice them doesn’t lead to much motivation or hope for the future. And once they’re captured, they’re the property of someone with a terrifying amount of power over them. Anything is better than capture. Mages are born to be the masters, and sensitives are born victims. Or are they? Jax’s life is turned upside-down when he’s caught by the hunters and sold to a mage. Andreas is still mourning for his previous sensitive, though, unconsciously creating a difficult standard for Jax to live up to, all the more so while still struggling to come to terms with this new reality as Andreas’ sensitive. A runaway sensitive isn’t what Van expects at the mental health centre. Is this a hunter trap, set for him and the rest of the Donovan family by the hunters? The hunters would, after all, love to see them cross the line openly and finally do something they can be charged with. Either way, Miranda’s genuinely in trouble, and he can’t just abandon her to it. Snatching a sensitive out from under the hunters and hiding her is odd behaviour for a mage – but then, Catherine is an odd mage, living in disgrace in the old servants’ quarters of her grandmother’s house, responsible for cooking and housework. Lila owes Catherine her freedom; is there a way to help Catherine achieve her own, and at what price? Tension is building between traditionally-minded mages and those advocating change, and something has to break. *** Yin-Yang includes a small amount of profanity and no graphic sex or on-screen physical violence. However, sex and gender roles and relationships within the mage/sensitive subculture are non-traditional in mainstream North American terms. The key criterion in a primary relationship is not relative sex or gender, but the pairing of mage and sensitive; given the transformation of sensitives by their mages, physical sex is non-absolute for a sensitive, and gender identity can vary as in anyone else. *** *** The way mages treat sensitives is extremely varied and, in some cases is outright abusive. The struggle against that is pretty much the point of the book. It is NOT grimdark or misery-porn! However, if you will be triggered by this, please, don't read Yin-Yang! *** Complete stand-alone novel, 153K words! Also available on Scribble Hub and as a free ebook.
