Bennett held Razor's hand as they made their way up to the rooftop. Razor opened the door for the two of them and allowed Bennett to walk in front of him.
Bennett looked around in awe at the dimly lit pool on one side and a greenhouse on the other. "It's so pretty.." He murmured.
Razor nodded before pointing to the greenhouse.
"Oh yeah." Bennett blushed, realizing he had been standing in that singular spot just surveying the area.
The two boys entered the beautifully lit greenhouse and breathed in the fresh air. Razor spotted a bench to sit at but decided to follow Bennett around instead.
"These flowers smell so good." He spoke, sniffing a few orange tulips. Bennett gently touched the petals before moving on to look at the other plants.
Silently, Razor followed Bennett around the greenhouse. Watching as Bennett cutely admired each of the plants.
There was a slight breeze blowing through the greenhouse that added to the calm of the room. Everything just felt.. perfect. Razor approached Bennett as the male leaned close to a rose.
"So pretty." He turned to Razor, "Don't you think?"
Razor turned to face Bennett, and his heartbeat couldn't help but quicken at the image. Bennett surrounded by flowers and practically glowing from the numerous fairy lights around them.
"B-Bennett." Razor began nervously. "You're so very pretty."
"Huh?"
He wasn't sure whether he wanted to confess his feelings or kiss the boy first.
"I like you." Razor spoke. I just said this. Holy shit.
Bennett's eyebrows drew together in confusion for a moment before rising in surprise. "A-are you confessing to me Razor?"
Say no! Bennett is your friend! "Yes. I-I am."
Bennett's face began to take on a red hue,"You l-like me? Like.. romantically?"
Razor nodded.
Bennett was beyond flustered,"Wh-why?!"
Now it was Razor's turn to become red. "I just.. do.. Bennett you're an incredible person."
Bennett shook his head. "W-What?"
"You're adorable. And you've been the only person who hasn't judged me because my muteness.. And I've never opened up to someone so quickly."
Bennett began to pout cutely,"This isn't fair Razor."
Razor felt his heart drop,"What?" I ruined it. He doesn't want to be friends anymore. Razor you idiot-
"I wanted to confess to you first." Bennett looked down at his shoes shyly.

Razor practically recoiled in shock, taking a step back,"What?!"
"I- um.. I like you Razor." Bennett whispered.
"Me.. you like me.."
Bennett nodded, still not looking up. "I guess I just.. I fell for you."
Razor ran a shaky hand through his hair before clearing his throat. This can't be real.. there's no way this isn't a dream.."G-go out with me."
"Like.. on a date?" Bennett murmured.
Razor nodded. "When we get back.. to be honest I-I wanna kiss you and be your boyfriend right now but I'm not trying to scare you off."
Bennett felt himself grow more flustered with Razor's bluntness.
"I mean.. I wouldn't mind being your boyfriend.. a-and kissing you right now.. We could always go on the date when we get back.." Bennett took a small step closer,"And I'm n-not scared."
"Yeah?"
"Mhm."
"Then.. will you be my boyfriend?" Razor asked.
Bennett nodded with a shy smile. "Yes. I will."
Razor took another step forward,"And can I kiss you?"
"Yes." Bennett whispered, looking up into Razors eyes.
"Okay." Razor whispered before leaning closer and closing the space in between their lips.
He had never kissed anyone before, and neither had Bennett. So at the moment, the two boys had their lips pressed against each other.
Where do I put my hands? Bennett was panicking as they kissed.
Razor seemed to sense this and pulled away.
"Sorry.. I've never done that before."
"Me either." Razor admitted. "We could learn together.." He spoke, looking down into Bennett's eyes.
Bennett panicked and rested his forehead against Razor's chest.
Razor could tell how embarrassed the boy was and wrapped his arms around him for a hug. Bennett hugged Razor back tightly, feeling happy and flustered.

Bennett sat down on their hotel room bed waiting for Razor to join him. Calm down Bennett, you're just sleeping together.. it's just sleep.
"Bennett?"
Bennett looked up at his boyfriend. "Yes?"
"Sleep?"
"I-Uh.. I was waiting for you."
Razor raised an eyebrow at the male.
"Just in case you wanted to sleep on a specific side or anything.."
Razor smiled softly. "I don't care." He sat down on the bed and laid down, waiting for Bennett follow suit.
Bennett laid down beside Razor rather stiffly for a moment before sitting up,"I know we've slept beside each other before, but I'm so much more nervous now." He admitted.
Razor sat up as well,"I can sleep on the couch." He offered.

"N-No!" Bennett blushed,"No. I'm just.." Bennett looked away shyly. "Sorry."
Razor tilted his head,"Why?"
"I'm being weird." Bennett spoke,"Let's sleep."
Razor laid back down and opened his arms for Bennett to hug him. "Don't think too much about it." Razor murmured.
Bennett nodded and found himself asleep rather quickly.

Bennett woke up feeling well rested. Of course, it's because I slept beside Razor.
Bennett looked at Razor's sleeping face and started blushing. This is my boyfriend.. Razor is my boyfriend..
Razor opened his eyes, feeling Bennett staring at him. "Hi."
"Hello." Bennett whispered. "We should probably go and eat before we get in trouble."
"We should." Razor spoke. Not moving at all.
"But I would rather lay here."
"Me too." Razor agreed.
Bennett snuggled closer to Razor and closed his eyes for a moment. Razor sighed and sat up, getting out of bed to go and clean up.
Bennett whined, throwing a tiny fit in bed before getting up and joining his boyfriend in the bathroom. He smiled to himself. Boyfriend.

"Alright class, the first stop of today is a scavenger hunt at a park.. then lunch at an Italian restaurant." Albedo spoke. He was practically glowing. Kaeya on the other hand was leaning against the bus looking rather satisfied.
"You're not sore?" Kaeya murmured placing a hand on Albedo's hip.
"Shut up." He pinched the male's hand and began to direct students onto the bus.
"Oh! I did a scavenger hunt before." Bennett began to chatter to Razor.
Razor listened to the male and sat down beside him on the bus.
"I found everything too! My dad said-"
"Uhm.. Razor." A girl tapped the male's shoulder.
Razor's smile faded as he turned to look at whoever had tapped him.
"Can we join you while during the scavenger hunt?" She gestured to her friend beside her.
Razor turned and pointed to Bennett.
Bennett hummed,"Sure you can join us. The more the merrier!" He smiled.
Razor wanted to groan with annoyance. I wanted to spend time with you alone Bennett. And these girls aren't really good news..
Razor grabbed Bennett's hand and sighed. Bennett looked down at their hands and smiled before looking out the window.

"We should split up." Angel spoke. She was the girl who had tapped Razor on the shoulder. "I'll look around with Razor."
"Ah-.. b-but-" Bennett was cut off by Ruby.
"Okay! I'll go with Bennett!" Angel's friend Ruby spoke.
Bennett just sighed,"Okay." He went to collect the sheet of items to find and split it in half. "Let's meet here in thirty minutes." He spoke. Not wanting to part with Razor.
"Alright!" Angel spoke, looking at Razor with a smirk. "Let's go!"
Razor and Bennett shared a look as they were dragged away from each other by the two girls.
"So Razor.." Angel began,"You didn't speak until Bennett almost couldn't make it to the class trip. Why is that?"
Razor stopped and looked down at the girl with a glare. How nosy.
"Have you been faking it this entire time?" Angel laughed.
Razor snatched the list from Angel and walked ahead, deciding to do the hunt on his own so Bennett would be happy.
"Ugh you're so boring." Angel pulled out her phone to text Ruby.
Ruby on the other hand was practically cornering Bennett,"Be honest, how did you really get kicked out of your last school?"
Bennett frowned,"Th-there was an accident.." He murmured,"I'm sorry.. I don't really like talking about this.."
"Oh come on Bennett. Just tell me. Are you going to set our school on fire too?" She snickered.
Bennett felt tears well up in his eyes,"I didn't do that.." He looked down at their list and rushed away from Ruby to finish it. I want to go back to Razor. He sniffed.

Razor found the last item and returned to the spot Bennett told him to meet at. The male was immediately pissed off by the sight before him.
Ruby leaning close to a crying Bennett and pestering him about his past.
"What the fuck?" Razor pushed past Ruby and squatted down to the boy's level, "Come on Bennett." He reached a hand down and lifted Bennett up to his feet.
Angel crossed her arms,"You can't leave us behi-"
Razor glared at the girl before walking away with the sheets of paper and Bennett.
"Did you get anything?" Angel asked.
"Aside from tears, no." Ruby huffed.
"Me either. Razor just stayed quiet until right now."
"What do we tell the others?" Ruby asked,"This was the whole point of the mission."
"I don't even know.. but Bennett and Razor act like a couple. Razor didn't even speak until he saw Bennett crying." Angel scoffed.
"Now that I think about it.. he only speaks when things revolve around Bennett." Ruby spoke.
Angel smirked,"Maybe.. we do have something to tell the others."

BODY&SHADOW
AN ILLUSTRATED NOVEL • UPDATES TUESDAY AND FRIDAY In a time before living memory, the King Dragon of the Void watched the world and realized there was a crack. He realized that humanity was destroying the rock upon which they lived; they leaked life’s code into the churning chaos. At first the change was imperceptible: nanites overtook microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, amoebas. Insects became increasingly inorganic; birds and lizards followed soon after. Even humans were infected by their own advances, cell by cell, till there was not a person left on earth who wasn’t at least part synthetic, the product of a prior generation’s carelessness. The world’s population was ravaged by mechanical viruses with no vaccines; they were mercilessly overtaken by bacteria that knew no death. Soon, most of the planet was empty and only a handful remained who remembered the hedonist realm they came from; only a few were left who remembered what the world looked like when their buildings touched the sky. The King Dragon of the Void watched the rock turn. He watched humans cower as the Old World fell down around them; watched their great monuments crumble into dusty ruins; watched their codes become precious, ancient gem memories forged under the crushing pressure of so many fallen stones. The world has spun many times around the sun since chaos swallowed man whole. It is a simpler time than the one that died out, but the people now are not immune to the folly of the people before. There is old code everywhere: in the water, in the air, in the trees. The heart of man has been replaced by power cores, many of which are hard-coded with preternatural abilities—when they die, an esoteric mountain sect collects their cores and stores them in their hollow mountain home to preserve the sanctity and dignity of human death. They’ve learned to harness artifacts of the old world, gemstones full of codes their nanite infused bodies can parse as spells imbuing their users with great power; they inlay them into their bodies, into their skins, connected to their cores by copper conduit and gold tracers; they dress themselves in tattoos to advertise their prowess; they battle for relics in arenas, fight for them in the open world wherever they are found. The King Dragon of the Void watches the rock turn and wonders: when will this hunger finally make the rock stop spinning? WELCOME TO FANXING CITY … Twenty-five years ago, Fanxing City and the surrounding lands were commanded by the mad King Zao Beiguan. For many years, the King hoarded wealth, artifacts, food; he demanded tribute from a people already taxed to the edges of their existence and expected they be happy with their circumstances. Noncompliance was often punished harshly, bodies displayed proudly on Fanxing’s streets as a warning, from the city gates to the Zao palace’s golden doors. The youths of several prominent clans came together to overthrow the tyrant and made names for themselves as legendary heroes across the land: Tian, Ren, Feng, Gui, Ma, and Zhenxi. Even wanderers from the Luanshi sect descended from Yunji mountain to aid the rebellion. When the dust settled after three years, Tian Yunyong ascended the throne of Fanxing and swore to honour his slain father’s memory, and has maintained Fanxing’s peace with generosity and mercy where fear and cruelty once reigned.
