《When I'm with You》1

Bennett was the last student to walk off the bus, tripping slightly as he got off. The male looked up at his new school in awe.
This looks so.. fancy.. Bennett adjusted the straps on his backpack and followed the crowd of students into the building curiously.
Although he didn't know where his class was, he was sure at least one person would be willing to help him.
"Um.. excuse me." Bennett tapped the shoulder of one of his new peers.
The student turned to look at Bennett with confusion,"Yes?"
"Do you know where classroom B15 is?"
The girl sighed,"This is why I hate new comers.." She muttered,"It's on the second floor, down the hallway."
"Oh thanks!" Bennett flashed a smile at her and began to walk away before turning back,"So um.. how do I get to the second floor?"
The girl groaned,"Take the stairs." She pointed in the direction of the stairs before walking to her first class.
"Oh.. yeah that makes sense." Bennett murmured, walking up the stairs and looking for his new class. Reading the signs on the wall he finally found his classroom, knocking on the door which had been locked by the teacher.
"You're late." The teacher spoke.
"Sorry.."
"I assume you're.. Bennett?"
Bennett nodded with a smile.
"I'll give you a pass since today's your first day here. I expect perfect attendance from now on. If you're late, then I expect a late pass from the main office."
Bennett nodded.
"Okay go have a seat." The man spoke,"Sucrose please take a new attendance sheet down to the office."
"Yes Mr.Albedo." She stood up and took the paper from the male.
"Anyways since that's attendance for now, everyone can do what they want for the rest of homeroom."

Bennett waited for the teacher to leave before turning to face his deskmate, a silver haired boy who had yet to crack even a polite smile.
"Hi! I'm Bennett." He introduced himself with a smile.
Razor just looked at Bennett's outstretched hand before looking up and meeting Bennett's eyes.
"Oh you don't do handshakes? That's okay. By the way, I'm new here.." Bennett paused,"Oh wait. You probably already knew that," the boy muttered.
Bennett just decided to sit down quietly as the other students chattered to each other.
"Oh that's unfortunate.. the new kid has to sit next to Razor." A girl spoke.
"What new kid?" A boy asked looking up from his phone.
"Bennett. Haven't you been paying attention for the last five minutes."
"No I was on my phone." The boy turned his head to see Bennett sitting in his seat attempting to doodle on his notebook. Each time he tried to draw a line, the lead broke.
"Wait.. Bennett isn't new," The boy observed.
"What do you mean?" The girl asked,"He just introduced himself."
"I went to elementary school with him." The male leaned in, "He probably transferred high schools after destroying his old one."
"What?!" The girl exclaimed and Bennett began paying attention to the conversation.
"Seriously. I heard there was a fire..That kid has insanely bad luck.
"Honestly though, I think he's faking it and using it to get away with doing destructive shit." Another student chimed in with a snicker.
Bennett frowned for a moment before deciding to tune out their conversation. Well.. it's not like they were there. They don't even know what happened.
Sucrose returned to the classroom a moment later and approached Bennett,"Do you need help navigating the school?"

"Oh.. yes please." Bennett spoke.
Sucrose placed a map on his desk,"You should work on memorizing it." She turned around and went back to her own seat.
Bennett sighed, this is fine.. a new school.. and new start.. I'd say to not mess it up, but knowing my luck..
Razor watched Bennett as he stared at the map, studying it meticulously.
He was interested for a moment before turning away to look out the window again.

Class progressed slowly in Bennett's opinion. He had only been in the school for a few hours and he was sure that rumors about him had spread.
I didn't even get the chance to try and make any friends. Bennett huffed walking within the crowd of students to the cafeteria.
He observed how people were getting their lunches for the day and went to stand in line. "Can I have a slice of pizza and a basket of fries?"
The lunch lady placed it on a tray for the male along with a mini water bottle and he continued in line to to the front.
Bennett scanned his ID card and prepared to leave when the woman stopped him,"Sir, you don't have any money on your card." the cashier spoke.
"Oh." Bennett looked in his pockets for cash but found that he didn't have any. I should've asked my dads for some before I left..
Bennett was caught off guard by someone behind him handing their ID to the lady wordlessly to pay for his meat along with Bennett's meal.
Bennett turned around in confusion and Razor gave him a blank stare before walking off to go sit alone.
Bennett watched the male for a moment before he was urged to leave the line by hungry students behind him.
Careful to not drop his food, Bennett attempted to follow Razor out of the cafeteria and into the courtyard.
Bennett found Razor sitting under a tree eating a chicken drumstick.
"Um.. thanks for helping me buy my food."
Razor just nodded at him.
I guess he's just not really a talker.. Bennett observed as he sat down in front of the male and started eating his own food.
Weird. Still here.. Razor thought as he watched Bennett eat.
"Uh.. do you want some fries?" Bennett asked finally noticing Razor's gaze on him.
Razor shook his head, opening his own water and drinking it.
Bennett just shrugged and finished his food. "I'll pay you back tomorrow." Bennett spoke happily, getting up to throw away his garbage and stumbling on his way over to the outdoor garbage been.
Clumsy. Razor thought.
