Anger is more useful, wrath is more powerful, rage is more devastating. And if I shall burn in the fire. I will take you all down with me.

Stepping out of his car I felt eyes on me. They watched me carefully, looking past them all, I held my head high. Roland slips to my side as we walk together into the school. The crowded halls that I've spent little time in seem all too familiar.
We walk through the doors causing me to see Hannah next to Ares. His arm was trapping her against the locker but she had a smile on her face and didn't seem to mind. Next to them were Oliver and Forrest.
I walk over to Hannah even with Roland being grumpy next to me.
"Oakley.." Oliver breaths out, almost in relief. I hold in a scoff. I send him a look causing him to walk over to me, which by instinct makes me back up. "You got shot." He whispers. "Why are you here, you could rip a stitch."
"I'm fine," I mumble as I look to Roland giving him pleading eyes.
I mouth, "Try to get along." Before I turn looking back to Oliver. His eyes were on my stomach causing me to turn away from him. He then turns to Roland his glare hardening.
"She almost died because of you," Oliver growls lowly at Roland causing me to suck in a breath. "And you know he's here now which means she's in danger."
Who's here?
He glances down the hall, causing him to grab me roughly pushing me behind him. I groan from the quick movement. Everyone looks we're Oliver is looking to see the one person I wish I hadn't.
Paxton.
That bitch shot me.
I push past Oliver walking at him angrily but a hand slips around my waist pulling me back to the group. I push away looking to see Elijahs. He had a weird look on his face before he glares at both Oliver and Roland.
"I'm going to kill him," I whisper harshly.
He finally sees me, a smile falling onto his lips as he walks over to us, the girl from the dinner next to him. "Ah Oakley, glad to see that you didn't die." He chuckles as I walk forward but Elijah grabs me again.

I shove Elijah off me harshly. Why are they not doing anything? Why are they not killing him? He smirks down at me causing me to glare coldly.
I look around to see the halls clearing as the bell rings but we stay still.
Roland slips his hand around my hip pulling me into him, he rubs circles softly but it's not calming me down. "He shot me." I spit out harshly at the boys.
I feel Roland's breath on my ear. "If we kill him someone else will just become the leader and we will be starting a war. If you were dead this would be a different story. And I think he wouldn't have missed your head or anything important if he meant to kill you." He whispers so only I could hear making me suck in a breath.
Turning to face the group, Oliver and Elijah both tense as they look down at me. I force a tight smile onto my face. "Hannah, aren't we going to be late," I say slipping away from Roland, she just nods as I walk next to her. She kisses Ares cheek quickly before we walk away.
"You have some explaining to do." I huff trying to take my mind away from Paxton.
She giggles as we walk down the halls. "After the ball, you know when you got shot. He was all sweet as I was freaking the fuck out." She awkwardly said causing me to laugh. "No, I was crying. There was so much blood and I was so worried." She says grabbing my hand giving it a tight squeeze. "I'm happy your ok." She smiles.
"Thank you for being so kind and sweet to me, I know we are just roommates but I feel close to you."
"I feel the same."
"Good," She says pulling me into a hug as we near our classroom. "Now let's go sit in this hell hole."
As I open the door all the heads snap to us. My face neutral and bored as I look at the teacher. I see the teacher's eyes widen, it looked like he forgot how to breathe. His face turned a light shade of red as he watched us. Much like my first day.

He mumbles something but I ignore him walking to the back of the classroom.

After hours of each class, the final bell rang and I rushed out of class. I didn't feel like being here with anyone right now. My mood had dropped since this morning and seeing that devil.
I was looking down, which made me run into someone. "God, I'm sorry." I sigh looking up. The girl who was next to Elijah at the dinner stood there smiling, showing me her perfect white teeth.
"It's ok, I was just being a wanker and not looking." She says cheerfully, her British accent pushing through. "Your Oakley right,"
"Yes.." I say quickly as she turns to walk with me out of the school.
"Right, leader of the North. I'm Emmaline but you can call me Emma. I'm in the East, the inner circle. Elijah talks about you a lot, I think he fancies you. He was absolutely gutted when you got shot. He wouldn't shut up, he tried going to see you but Roland." She scoffs. "He wouldn't let that happen. He wasn't doing much but business and was just grouchy. Which is weird he doesn't know you." She says without taking a breath. God, she likes talking.
"Anyway, are you going to the Do?" She asks, I stare at her dumbly. "Sorry party, Do means party."
"What party?" I ask. I haven't been to a party since Italy.
"Oh! Just a high school party." She smiles as we walk outside. I spot Roland leaning against his car on his phone.
"Who's house?" I ask her. She chuckles loudly. I give her a what did I say look.
"And I thought I was slow on the trends here." She says flatly with a loud laugh. "It's not at a house, god no. It's a bar with a fancy hotel above it for when your flat out drunk and want to shag." She says as she writes down the address on a paper she just pulled out of her backpack.
My eyes widen, grabbing the paper. "Ok Emmaline, it was nice meeting you. I'll see you there then." I say slowly starting to walk away as she waves.
"Call me Emma love!" She screams making people look at her. I take a deep breath as I near the car.
"Roland," I mumble making him look up from his phone. He stops leaning against the car making me look up at him.
"Hi, angel." He says slowly. I look down not wanting to meet his eyes.
"There's a party tonight and I was thinking-" I start saying but was quickly cut off.
"No,
"What do you mean no?" I snap growing impatient.
"You just got shot," He whispers harshly. "And you're in danger anywhere you walk in the city." I frown pushing past him. Slipping into his car. I heard him sigh walking to the driving seat, getting in as well.
"Drive me to my dorm. Please." I mumble turning to face away from him. The ride was silent as I felt his side gaze on me. His knuckles were turning white and his jaw was tightening.
Pulling up to the tall dorm buildings, I quickly jump out as Roland starts to say something but I shut the door ignoring it.
The hell he means no. I'm going to that party. I don't care what he thinks, I'm sick of being told what to do.
I sigh as I push open the door to my dorm.
"Oakley!" I hear from behind me. Turning I spot an out of breath Hannah. "Hold the door." She hums as I hold the door for her.
"Hannah," I say causing her to turn to me. "How do you feel about going to a party?"
She was hesitant but after a bit of thinking a smirk falls on her face as she nods her head eagerly.
