I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make many mistakes, I am always out of control and hard to handle. But if you can't handle me when i'm at my worse. Then why should I show you my best. That is why people call me a monster, not because of who I am. No. Because of the person I choose to let them see.

The Scarlet dinners, every season. 4 times a year, each mafia host one dinner to discuss business. Each leader brings two inner circle members, parents, and of course your dates to attend. It has been tradition from the earliest days. This season it was my turn to host.

My mafia or the East always host in the Fall. The North Winter, The south Spring, The West summer.

It was planning time which meant that my uncle was going crazy making sure everything was planned perfect.

I sat eating breakfast as my uncle walks in. His black hair slicked back yet still a mess. "Eli" He mumbles pushing a phone in front of my face causing me to stop eating and look at it. I sigh when I realized it was just a lot of plans for the dinner.

"You know I don't care Uncle Teo," I start but he cuts me off by shushing me. His brown eyes narrow at me.

"You need to send out the invitations so we know how many people are coming, Eli." He mumbles randomly pointing at the phone that gave no information, it was just a list of names

"Teo. You do it, I have more important stuff to do.." I sigh looking at my watch. I mumble a fuck as I put my food away. My uncle comes at me with a stack of invites.

"Give these out today," He smiles rubbing my hair messing it up. I slap his arm away.

"Don't we have people to do that?" I say annoyed but he gives me a mean glare and I just don't want to deal with this, "Fine." I mumble shoving the invites into my bag. He smiles as he walks out of the room.

I walk to my car which was parked out front. I open the door getting in and driving off to school. I see Oakley walking with just Hannah. Perfect. I stop my car next to her opening the passenger door. "Get in blondie." I say with a smirk as she leans over.

"How dumb do you think I am?" She says with a glare. Her curly blonde hair in a lose bun. I watch as her hazel eyes stared at me with anger. Hannah stands behind her sending me hateful stares as well.

"Do you really want me to answer that?" I hum at her causing heat to flare to her face.

"No but," She sighs frustrated.

"Get in, I have business. Actually business." I smile at her as she debates whether to get in or not.

"If anyone ask where I am Hannah, say you don't know please." She whispers as she sighs getting in. "Just so you know, I have a knife on me so if you try anything! I mean anything. I will stab you in the dick." She threatened causing me laugh at her. She rolls her eyes as I start driving. I drive to the East side, pulling up to a dinner that my uncle always takes me. Oakley eyes me weirdly.

"Come." I say grabbing my bag. She reluctantly follows me as I walk into the dinner. The staff knows me as they get the booth in the back ready. I grab her wrists pulling her to the booth. We sit down in silence.

"Why am I here." She mumbles.

"Business as I said, I will not lie to you Oakley. Remember that please." I whisper. She sighs as she looks at the menu.

"Then talk..?" She waves her hand at me. What the hell?

"Um right," I say as I reach into my bag pulling out 5 invites. I places them on the table handing her the one with her name on it. She looks at me confused.

"Scarlet dinners, each season one of the four mafias host a dinner. It's fall which is the Easts season. All four well, five leaders now, talk about business just simple trades and deals." I say as she nods slowly. "Each mafia can bring one inner circle members and their dates," I say pointing at two invites. "And parents," I say pointing at the third. "I need to know if your dad will come?" I ask her. Her lip is in a tight line as she thinks.

"No." She whispers. I nod not questioning it.

"Here." I say handing her the other invites. "Talk with Roland." I spit out his name harshly. "Discuss who you will bring as the other two. It's this friday. Ok?" I ask her.

"Ok, is it formal?" She ask fiddling with her a lose blonde strand of her hair.

"Very, Men wear tuxedos and Women nice dresses." I tell her. She nods as a waiter comes over. She was a slim girl with brown wavy hair. Her blue eyes looked at me with lust. I noticed blondie getting uncomfortable under the girls gaze. The girls uniform that seemed two sizes two small had her name tag read that Lilly.

"What can I get for you sugar?" She smiles down at me not paying any attention to anyone else.

"Water," I turn to Oakley. "You blondie?" I ask her with a smirk.

"Um diet coke please." She says looking at the waiter who is still looking at me. She waves Oakley off which gets me mad.

"She wants diet coke." I snap at the waiter who is distracted by me. She smiles touching me shoulder.

"Of course sugar." She smirks but it goes away when I remove her hand. She frowns and hurries away. Oakley starts giggle beside me.

"That poor girl." She says between laughs. I stare at her as she keeps laughing. I don't mind listening to this all day. I watch as she soon stops catching her breath. "Why are you so stone cold." She murmurs from beside me. I send her a glare but she doesn't back down.

"I'm not." I snap causing her to laugh even more.

"That was such a funny joke!" She giggles in a sarcastic voice. I sigh looking at her. "Like, that girl was pretty and you wouldn't even give her a second glance?" She tells me like she knows me. I sigh.

"Blondie, i'm not some brooding guy who is incapable of love, I stick with one girl" I tell her with a wink. "Plus you haven't know me for more then two days." I smirk down at her as our drinks come the waiter moving quickly, the girl asks for our orders in a quiet voice. We order and I watch as the girl leaves, turning back to blondie.

"You seem like a person to hold everything in.." She says as she observes me. "Not talk about it or let it out.."

"Well it would be a lot worse if I let out what I was thinking.." I lean in whispering that into her ear. She goes silent but I could tell she was thinking. I just wish I knew what about.

I remember when Tobias texted me in the middle of a meeting yesterday, I was going to be angry if it wasn't important but it most definitely was.

He told me that a new girl just arrived, with the last name Cove. I have know that last name for along time and what their family does. I ask Tobias to do a background check on her and everything started to unfold. With Tobias being the best hacker I know, he found a lot of things. Like her favorite color, first pet, and oh the fact that she was the only child blood related to the leader. Or previous leader as I just found out that she agreed to be the new leader. I went to school as fast as I could, I had to meet my Queen and when I saw her I was happy as fuck she was hot.

"How do you know i'm the co leader now? We haven't told anyone.." She asks curiously.

"You forget that I have some of the best hackers in New York hm?" I whisper as the food comes. We eat in silence, I watched her eat like she hasn't had breakfast. After we are done she gets up to leave with the invites. "Thank you." She nods at me as she leaves money for me.

"I drove you here Blondie let me drive you to your dorm." I say standing up placing my hand on her back. My eyes trail her body landing on the large scar on her thigh. I found out what happened to her when we were doing a background research. I told Tobias to look into the man who did this to her, so I could kill him but there was no evidence of this man. I was angry at that.

"I'm going to someones house not my dorm and you would get shot if you even tried going near there." She says like it's obvious. "I'll call a taxi it's fine.." She smiles. I nod getting into my car. I still had to deliver the other invites to the West and South. I back out of the place slowly watching as her body became smaller the farther I was.

I pulled up to the West gates quickly. Slipping there 4 invites into the mail. I drove away quickly not wanting to deal with Oliver's bullshit. Then I went to the South, if the real leader doesn't show up i'm going to be mad. Respect is something the leader lacks. I pushed the 4 invites in there mall. Probably two will show up. Sadly. It's there loss.

Friday will be interesting.
