Sometimes, you make me feel like I have a chance with you but when I try to take that chance you make me realize I never really did. Still, you had me at a point where I would've left the entire world burn for you.

I watched as her curly blonde hair bounced as that dick head, Roland, dragged her away to his car. I figured he finally found out about her brother. I knew the moment her body landed in New York. It wasn't the first time Coves have been here.

I turned to face my little sister who had just lost to the North, I wasn't upset. She raced well and Oakley definitely could easily beat me if she had done that against me. She was smart. She was meant for this life. She was meant to be a queen. My queen.

My sister looked scared. She was only my half-sister but I loved her just the same. I nodded at my inner circle to follow me as I left to get back to the garage. My sister climbs in as I start the car. The car still smelling like a certain blonde.

"Phoenix, calm down." I sigh as he sees her getting nervous.

"I'm sorry!" She yells. She thinks I'm going to punish her but I'm not my father. My father hates her for not being his child. I watch for years as he beat her and abused her until I finally stood up for her. It took time and many bruises for him to start backing off. I just wish I did it sooner. I don't want her life like mine.

"Nix, I'm not upset. You did completely fine." I mumble. She takes a moment to stop freaking out. I ruffle her hair softly causing her to slap my hand. She laughs. Good.

I speed down the busy streets, going in and out making sure not to hit anyone. I slow when I reach her dorm building. "Call me if you need anything." She nods waving goodbye as she disappears into the building. Wasting no time I drive back to the garage where my inner circle is waiting. They were chatting about something as I walk in.

Ares my second in command looks over at me with a smile planted on his lips. "Hey, Oli." He chuckles as I sit down on the couch with everyone else. I glare at him.

"Oliver, your little blonde conquest is hot." I hear Forrest say from next to me.

"Shut it, Forrest." I snap at him harshly causing him to be quiet. Good. "Grayson, how many girls have you brought to the clubs this week?" I ask needing information. Now I would never deal girls against their will. My girls never do anything they don't want and have homes and food for them. I might deal girls but I would never hurt one.

"109 in the Blue moon club," He says talking about our main club. "and 56 in the Diamond Club. and 39 in other parts." I nod telling him to put that into the system causing him to go off somewhere. I sigh hearing the group chat to themselves again.

"Oli." I hear Ares whisper. "How do you expect to get Oakley to be yours?" He says sounding a little worried. I smirk.

"I work with girls, Ares. I know what they want and need. Roland with screw up eventually. Then I'll be there for her, she'll cave." I say with faith, but honestly, I don't think she will, she's too strong. She won't fall for my traps. I just have to do something to get ahead.

I pulled into the school driving 50 miles above the speed limit. Ares who road with me was glaring at me, looking a little green. We get out and most eyes are on us. I was used to it but today I was looking for a certain pair of Hazel eyes. I grew annoyed when I couldn't find her. I walked over to Ares who seems to be in deep thought. "Have you seen Hannah, I can't find Oakley and Hannah will know where she is?" I ask him in a quiet voice. He shrugs. I watch the entrance for a bit to see if she's coming but she doesn't.

I signal for my inner circle to come inside. I walked with a smirk on my lips as people either ran or drooled over us. I scanned the hallway for her, I spot Hannah instead talking to a group of girls that I don't know or care about. "Ares go get Hannah," I mumble as he groans but walks over to her. I watch as he slips his hand around her waist and for once she doesn't push him away harshly just backs up a bit. His gaze watched over her with pure love in his eyes as he talked.

"He's still hooked." I hear Zayn laugh from behind me.

"That's a Fact," Forrest says shaking his head softly. I nod agreeing. I remember the first time he introduced her to me, we were only sophomores at the time. He fell for her as soon as she said hello to him, she was this innocent little freshman and I was scared for her to get caught up in this life. But if you love someone... They were going strong until I asked Ares to start doing more, illegal stuff for my mafia. He agreed causing them to start fighting more and more. It was hard to watch when she ended it. He was angry a lot and wasn't himself. Sooner or later he got back to himself again. But we all know he misses her.

I watched as her straight blonde hair swayed as she walked over to us. Her face was mad, of course. She always had a short temper. "Hannah." I hum softly causing her to glare at me.

"I don't know where she is." She says obviously lying. I lean over slightly so I'm eye-level with her.

"Hannah, never lie to me again." I snap anger rising in my voice. She steps back away from me looking scared. I watched as Ares's knuckles turn white from him getting protective over her.

"I saw her get into a car and leave" She whispers.

"With who? What type of car?" I shout. Ares steps in front of her. "Move. Ares."'I hiss out angrily.

"No, you need to calm the fuck down." He shakes his head in disappointment. Why am I getting so mad? I just need her for my mafia. That's it. Then why am I worried about where she is and why can't I get her face out of my head. I take a deep breath.

"Remember who your leader is." I snap at him. He nods in respect. I turn to Hannah. "Tell her I said hi love." I wink at her as she squirms uncomfortably under my gaze. She runs off after Ares whispers in her ear something causing her to blush. "I'm going home, I got business," I mumble to my inner circle. "Forrest stay at school and lets me know if she shows up ok," I tell him causing him to fuss but stay as we walk away.

I walk to my car in a grumpy mood. Why did I want to see her so bad? Why am I mad over her being somewhere that's not with me? I sigh shaking those thoughts away.

I get into my car driving away from school. I drive to my family house, pushing past people at top speed. I pull up to the giant mansion, that I call home. I park my car getting out and walking into the house. I hear my mom loudly yelling in the kitchen. I laugh to myself as I hear her yell a string of cuss words, walking in I see her with a cake in hand and frosting all on her clothes. "Mother..?" I question. Her eyes lighting up as she sees me, I walk over to her slowly.

"Olive!" She squeals squeezing my cheek. I always wonder how my mother, this kind, cheerful, bright person could ever stay with someone like my father. He abused her emotionally for years before it turned physical. I hated watching the small but noticeable bruises form. I gave her a small smile, she frowns slightly her brows curving down. Her Green eyes much like mine shin with worry. "What's on your mind, my sweet boy? What are you thinking about?" She hums softly looking back down at her cake. She starts frosting it as she waits for me to tell her.

How did she know? I honestly don't understand what's wrong.

"Mom, it's mafia stuff. Don't worry about me.." I whisper as she finishes her frosting. It looked like shit but I wouldn't tell her. She mumbles some words that I couldn't hear turning to me. Her face looked sad as she touched my cheek softly.

"You stupid boy." She mumbles as she rolls her eyes as she quickly smacks me up the head before I could even tell what she was doing. "I'm your mother boy. Have you forgotten that I married your father even after I got knocked up? You forget how I have been in this life for a long time." She shakes her head her red hair sways violently. "Now tell me what's wrong," She snaps. I sigh.

"The North made a deal with an Italian mafia. Meaning there at the top, not us." I say anger in my voice, "but the northern leader is a girl," I whisper as my mom's eyes go wide.

"Darling you are working on this right?" She asks as I nod. She gives me a tight smile, "Oh darling, is she pretty?" My mom watches me carefully. I sigh.

"Yes," I mumble her face popping into my mind. Her curly blonde hair and hazel eyes have been in my mind a lot recently. I just don't understand why. I just need her for the mafia.

"Then why haven't you made her yours yet?" She sighs as she starts to clean the kitchen.

"She's falling for fucking Ronan." I spit out in pain. "I can't make someone fall for me if they fell for another guy," I mumble.

"The oldest boy?" She smiles. "Oh, he was such a dear!" She hums happily. I roll my eyes. Clueless.

I hear a crash coming from the hallway both my eyes and my moms go to the door. My dad walks in, his face cold and aggravated. "Damn maid! Can't fucking clean shit up." He says to himself before he looks up at us.

"Vince." My mother smiles tightly. He nods at her kissing her cheek quickly before looking at me.

"Why are you here.." He mumbles his breath smelling like alcohol.

"I don't have to be at school," I say looking at him with a glare.

"Are you handling the North?" He says turning to the fridge pulling out some water.

"They have a new co-leader, a mafia from Italy joined their mafia with them," I tell him causing him to give me an annoyed look.

"And?" He mumbles slipping his hand around my mom's waist. I cringe at her discomfort, no doubt at one point my mom did love my dad but then my dad cheated causing my mom to leave for a year. She came back when she was pregnant with Phoenix, my dad still loved her so he took her back. But I don't think she loved him when she came back and still doesn't, she just wanted Phoenix to have a better life. Then my mom found out what my dad did other than being a businessman, meaning she was trapped.

"A girl, the co-leader is a girl," I whisper as his stone-cold face turns into a smirk.

"Then you know what you must do so." He shakes his head. "The north has an advantage on her, so get rid of that advantage." He snaps kissing my mom's forehead leaving the room without another word. My mom's eyes going wide, she hates the thought of me taking someone's life.

If I do this and Oakley finds out, I'll lose her and my mafia forever. Should I even do this?
