I found myself in a late-night drive. without a destination. But I know as long as your next to me. It doesn't matter where I'm going, just the journey.

"Tell me you actually know what you're doing?" I turn my head to see him leaning on the car, peeking inside.
"Reed, my dad taught me everything to know about cars." I send him a smile, he frowns mumbling an Ok, and Be safe. He walks away to the other people.
As I check for anything wrong with the car. I turn to see the little redhead, Phoenix. Oliver's little sister, Hannah said she was a freshman. They have different fathers, Oliver's father was the leader of the West. So she is technically not royalty, but she is still treated like one. She just has no actual right to the mafia, according to Hannah.
"Good luck," I say to her before I roll up my window. She stares at me like I'm crazy.
"Ready, Set...., Go" I hear causing me to slam on the gas. Her car goes past me fast but I don't care. I cut the corners carefully making sure to not add anytime like she is on the turns. I slowly catch up to her and it's the final part of the race. We are neck and neck just like the boys.
I just needed a small push.
I need the car to be lighter. Shit. Fuck it. I kick open the door hitting it trying to make it fall off. It falls making me inch past her when we cross the line. Fuck I did it. I slow down almost spinning out. I step out with a deep breath. "Sorry Reed, I'll send you the check to fix's your car," I mumble when he runs over to me.
"You won!" He yells picking me up. I flinch as he does, he puts me down with a sorry. I smile at him. Phoenix gets out of the car, with a frown on her face. Oliver doesn't seem as mad as I thought he would be as he watches me.
"Can I go home now?" I whisper as Reed's eyes go wide looking over my shoulder.
"What the fuck is she doing here." I hear a deep voice yell from behind me. I turn to see a very pissed off Roland. "This should have been over already, so I came to see what was happening. I see fucking Oakley." He yells at Reed. I don't know why.
"Calm down Ronan," Oliver says as he walks over to me. "Me and Oakley had a little talk today, then she came and watched us race." He smiled down at me. "She's not hurt." Roland looks like he's about to punch him. Elijah watches from afar a smirk planted on his lips, I glare at him. Cocky bitch.

"This shit is dangerous, we all know that Braydon." He snaps as he walks over to me slipping his arm around my waist. I look down not like the attention. I feel him start pulling me to his car. He opens the door pushing me in, not hard but still violently. I sigh as he gets in.

"I'm not a little girl," I whisper as he starts the car.
"I know your not Oakley, I know." He shakes his head. "But my brother should have told me you were there." He sighs.
"Are you taking me back to the dorms?" I mumble crossing my arms. I watch his jaw tightened.
"We have business to discuss first." He says looking at me with scared eyes. I stare at him. Why would I be involved with business? I sigh.
"Why am I being brought into this?" I snap. "My brother is the fucking leader, not me" I yell.
"Your brother will explain." He mumbles as we pull into his house. "It's important Oakley." He sighs as we get out of the car. What the fuck does he mean. We walk into the house to be greeted by Ms.Ronan. Her eyes show pity as she probably already knows what's happening.
"My dear, how are you!" She whispers as she gives me a tight hug. I hug back.
"You know..." I say looking down. Roland starts walking, I follow closely behind as I wave goodbye. We walk into an office where my brother already is. He looks pissed. I sit down in one of the chairs as Roland sits behind his desk.
"You tell her," Roland says look at his computer.
"Tell me what?!" I yell, frustrated at all the secrets.
"Mom was a fucking slut." Milo says randomly. "She's a fucking slut."
"Shut up," I whisper. How could he say that? About his mother, my mother. She cared for us. "Shut the hell up. Don't talk about her like that!" I yell tears threatening to spill out.
"What she is one? or was one." He mumbles rage in his eyes. I stand up in a rage. I go to slap him. Hard. But Roland stops my hand before I can.
"That's enough Milo, tell her," Roland says his voice laced with anger.
"Mom fucked another guy." He chuckles dryly. "I'm not Dad's son, we aren't blood." He says as he stands up. "I'm not mafia blood." He yells as he punches the wall. Blood running down his knuckles. That means...
"Oakley you are the heir to your family's mafia," Roland says looking down at me with pity.
That's why both East and West got involved. They knew I was the leader. Oh my god. I'm the leader? Shit. My body starts to shake, as I stare at my brother who is still angry. I take a step away from him almost running into Roland's chest.

"I can't lead," I whisper barely loud enough for anyone to hear.
"It's ok," Roland whispers not meeting my eye. "Still, that means that me and your brothers deal to make our mafias one. Is no more." He sighs. "So that is why the West and East are getting involved."
"What does this mean? I can't run a mafia!" I yell. "This is your life! Not mine." I whisper to my brother.
"As much as I hate this Oakley. Our mafia needs you." My brother says closing his eyes. "If you don't accept this position, our mafia won't be ours. Dad built this mafia from the ground. He worked so hard, don't give our name away." He whispered almost begging.
I take a deep breath. I shouldn't run from this but how could I stay. I'm no leader, I'm no queen but my brother was right. I can't throw away my father's work because I'm scared. I have the skills, my father taught me how to fight for a reason. So this time I'm not running.
"Fine," I say trying to be strong. "I will become the leader." I say taking in a deep breath. "How do we put our mafias together..?" I ask unsure.
"There are three ways. If it's a simple easy offer and everything goes as plan, a simple contract. Then there's marriage." He says. "Marriage cancels out any other." He explains as I nod.
"Do you still have the contract?" I say, my brother folding his arms. Roland nods grabbing something out of his desk. It was a paper with both of my brothers and his signatures. I take the pen that Roland offers signing the paper next to my brother's name. "So I'm now the co-leader of the north?" I whisper. As they both nod. I close my eyes taking in a deep breath. "Am I in danger?"
"For now. No. But things change so fast in this life." Roland sighs. "Just you need to lay low. I wouldn't talk to West or East. They could trick you as you don't know everything, yet." He sighs, his voice sounds almost protective.
"Why don't we merge?" I ask, "Why didn't the North help?" I ask Roland.
"War, war was going to happen." He sighs. "We were going to merge with the East and West, Then they turned against each other. They won't merge anymore, their egos won't let them. And we are only merging if it's with both, we don't get enough out of it for one mafia." He says frowning. I get what he's saying.
"Milo, what does our mafia deal with?" I ask him causing him to look up.
"Guns mainly, we have lots of hotels here. We also have some in Italy." He says. "We well know, we don't have many enemies but people will threaten your thrown." He smiles at me. "But I'll help you through this, sorella." I send him a smile. "Ti amo sorellina mia, fidati di me." He whispers.
{t-I love you my little sister, trust me.}
"Fiducia." I whisper back. I remember the first time my mother told me that. I was just learning Italian when it happened, I fell and broke my leg. I was being stupid playing around with my brother outside, things happen. I started crying as my mother rushed to my side, she was mumbling cuss words in Italian. When I asked her if I was going to die, I was 8 ok. She said of course not as she picked me up. I keep calling her a liar and she was getting mad, I will remember what she said for the rest of my life, she said "family never lies to one another, no matter what my figlia. family doesn't lie unless it puts you in danger to know. You might not be their blood, but if you are family. Solo la verità. Remember that, fiducia. Fiducia.".
Fiducia, is an Italian word for trust. And me and my brother say it a lot. Even though he has lied to me about all this...

We talked for a long time about my mafia and what I have to do. It wasn't a lot but it was still overwhelming. I took a sharp breath when we finish up. I stand up leaving the room following my brother and Roland. "Milo I need to talk to your sister alone." He says, it coming out like an order. He nods, turning and walking away. "Oakley," He mumbles. "We will run this mafia as equals. Not one above the other. Your mafia is yours and I will never take that from you but now it's ours. And my mafia is now ours. " He sends me a smile. I nod. "confiance" He whispers in french as he grabs my hand giving it a tight squeeze. I frown slightly.
"What does that mean?" I ask.
"Trust." He winks with a cocky smile, he understands Italian? Or at least what I told my brother. I sighed rolling my eyes. I look down taking a moment to take in what is happening. I am a mafia leader.
Why do I feel like I'm becoming something I feared...
