I sobbed on him as I sat on top of him. "I'm sorry," I cried, my face digging into his shoulder.
Clay laid there, his body frozen. He lightly stroked the back of my head, trying to calm me down. "I'm sorry," He whispered as I wept.
"I don't know what got over me," I sniffed my nose, my breath was hot from crying.
"No, I'm sorry," My eyes were filled with tears. He placed his hands on my jaw, taking me off his shoulder. He held my face in front of his, he admired me, smiling softly. "I shouldn't have done that, I don't know what got over me either." He felt regret in his actions. "Maybe I didn't think it through enough," He mumbled to himself. How he missed seeing my face.
My vision was blurred from my tears. I chuckled, wiping my tears with the back of my hand as I looked into his eyes. He slowly lowered my face closer to his, kissing me on the forehead. Another tear streamed down my cheek, then dripping down onto his neck.
He softly giggled at the feeling. He delicately wiped his thumb across my cheek, wiping away my tears.
"I love you," I breathed out, gently holing the wrists of his hand which were holding my jaw, my lips were still trembling.
He softly smiled, his teary eyes were so warm almost like they were sparkling, his voice was so tender, "I love you."
The wind breezed against my fingertips as we drove. The recognizable tall pine trees towered over us. The small rays of sunlight that peaked through the countless trees. The leaves brushed up against each other from the wind, softly rattling. The lonely road that felt oh so comforting. His soft smiling whenever he glanced over at me. The small sound of the car traveling against the concrete road. A single car passed by.

I looked to the side, finally seeing something besides trees and trees. It was the ocean, the sparkling ocean. The sun perched itself on top of the ocean horizon like they were old friends. The sound of the waves were so familiar, so comforting.
"I'm really sorry," He murmured, his eyes still on the road ahead.
I chuckled, "No, I'm sorry, I went all crazy on you." I turned to him, "We're even now." I took a sigh to get ready for my next sentence that was going to come out of my mouth, "You know, I've never actually said this to you but.....I forgive you." I cringed at my own apology, not being used to apologizing to people.
Clay giggled as he used one of his arms to reach over and slap me on the forehead, "You look so stupid when you make that face." Pointing out my disgusted face after I coughed up my corny apology to him.
"Shut up," I rolled by eyes, not being able to help myself from a small laugh.
We approached the beach town's welcome sign. The streets were empty, it was like a ghost town. The colorful kites of the small kite shops flowed through the wind. The small pancake restaurant that I always went to as a kid sat there quietly.
"Can we go to that place?" My head rested on my arms, leaning on the window as my head peaked out, feeling the wind brush up against my cheeks, "I miss how the ocean looked there."
"That's where I was planning on going to," He softly smiled, turning to see me lean up on the window, admiring how adorable I looked.
