"My mom's forcing me to get a tutor," Tessa blew a strand of hair that dangled before her face. "I'd rather just fail, I don't want a fucking tutor." Tessa opened the door in front of us as we both exited the school, "I know I'm ugly, but I'd rather just be a stripper."

I silently listened as Terra vented out her anger. Clay still hasn't showed up for school, at this point he's probably not gonna even make the cut to graduate. I heard a 'ding' from my phone, I quickly opened it.

"I'm parked in front of the school," I read his text message, grinning.

"Just give birth out of your dick or something, I don't know." Terra rolled her eyes as we walked. I don't even know what this girl is going on about at this point, but it's entertaining to listen to. "Your boyfriends here," Terra waved at Clay as he waved back at her from the parking lot.

"Bye," I smiled to her as I left.

The car ride was silent, we tried to talk about something, but it seemed like both of us held back.

"Where are we going?" I glanced at him, noticing that we were going to a different way than my house.

"7/11," He grinned as he turned to me.

I smiled.

"I'll get it," Clay unbuckled his seat belt.

"No, no, you always get it for me, I'm getting it now." I unbuckled my seatbelt quickly as I got out of the car before he could.

We both silently and awkwardly sat in the car while taking sips of our slurpees. I stared out my window, not knowing what to do or say. How did we suddenly get all awkward?

It's because I was holding back, I wasn't saying what I wanted to say. I was keeping my mouth shut, better to avoid a conflict all together.

"How's school?" Clay broke the silence, he used to worst possible question ever.

"I'm getting through it I guess...." The car went silent again.

God, what's wrong with us?

"The weather is-"

"Why haven't you-" I stopped talking mid-sentence, realizing I accidentally interrupted Clay. I paused for a moment, "You go first."

Clay had an awkward tone in his sentence, "The weather is....nice." God, we're now making weather comments. "What were you going to say," Clay muttered.

"Why haven't you...gone to...school." I awkwardly itched my head, not knowing what to do.

"Oh that, yeah...." Clay put on a smile as he turned to me, "I'll go tomorrow." He lightly patted my head.

"Okay....." I looked down as I sipped my drink.

"You've seen Clay yet?" I caught Nick walking to lunch.

Nick stopped walking and turned to me, "No, not since this morning."

I tried to hide my disappointment, "Thanks," I put on a fake grin as I walked to the bathroom.

He should be here by now, half of the day is already over. I stopped my tracks, halting my walking. I ran back to Nick who was now already sitting down at a table in the cafeteria, "Wait have you seen Clay, like at all, today?" I leaned on the table.

"Yeah, why," Nick took out his lunch as George sat down next to him.

"You know where he is? I...uh.. need to talk to him." I stuttered. 

"No, but he was here this morning," Nick took a bite of his sandwich, talking with his mouth full.

"He probably left early or something." George leaned his head down the table, "I don't know where he is now though."

"Thanks!" I walked away, walking back to the bathroom like I was earlier as I took out my phone. I called him. "Please pick up, please pick up," I mumbled as I held my phone to my ear.

"Hello?" Thank god he picked up. 

"Where are you? I thought you were coming here." I looked around as I spoke through the phone.

The call ended. WHAT THE FUCK! THIS MOTHERFUCKER HUNG UP ON ME! I'm about to get my ass up and track this bitch down. I hated doing this, trying to track him or find him. I feel like I'm his mother or something, I'm his girlfriend for crying out loud. He's so fucking immature. Last time he pulled this shit on me I was lucky that I found him, my luck has probably run out by now though.
