《The Long and Winding Road { Dreamwastaken x reader ff }》Chapter 31

I kept on running and running, my hair was soaked. Though I had on a jacket it didn't do much, the jacket itself was soaked in water. The rain crashed against the ground. Thunder shouted in the distance. I ran and ran.

"CLAY!" My voice cracked, my voiced echoed through the streets only to be interrupted by the loud noise of violent rain.

I sounded like some crazy person, screaming someone's name while running alone in the streets. I couldn't even give myself the respect to put on the hood of my jacket. I didn't care, I lost all respect for myself.

I could barely make out what was in front of me, I only saw the darkness of the clouds and rain. Without even thinking I ran across the street, I didn't care if a car hit me. Clay was all I could think of. I'm so pathetic.

My hands were shaking, they felt numb. My hands, they were wet and cold, they felt frozen. My feet, numb. Water soaked through my shoes. I didn't care, I kept on running.

As I ran I spotted the street of Clay's house. I practically memorized the way to his house. Though I haven't seen him in years after that incident the memories of our childhood was kept still in me. I couldn't forget the way to him even if I wanted to. I ran, skimming the houses to try to make his out.

"RIGHT THERE!" I stopped faster than my feet could handle. I fell over, my body hit the wet ground. Though I fell down I got back up. I was so desperate to tell him I didn't even notice my aching body.

"Where is he, where is he," I whispered to myself, not even giving myself the time to catch my breath or breathe.

I feel so guilty. How could I do that to him. I acted so immature.

My breath hitched, I spotted Clay. He was sitting on his porch.

"CLAY!" I screamed as soon as I spotted him.

He jumped. Though you couldn't see well through the rain, he spotted me. He spotted me, standing in the streets, drenched in water.

"Y/N! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" He bolted up.

I grinned, "CLAY!"

"YOU'RE DRENCHED, DID YOU RUN ALL THE WAY HERE?!" He shouted. You couldn't hear anything besides the heavy rain, you had to shout.

Even though I acted like a snob he still has the decency to even care about me. I chuckled, I'm so lucky and I'm just throwing him away.

I started running to him. I needed to tell him, I couldn't wait any longer.

"STOP!" He ran to me, almost slipping on his driveway.

"Clay," I softly smiled, seeing him run to me.

Without saying anything, he took off his jacket. He put the jacket over us. Though his back was getting wet he didn't seem to mind.

I giggled, his face was centimeters apart from mine. It was so cold that we could see each others warm breaths.

"Y/n," He smiled softly, his eyes were so delicate, so precious.

"I'm sorry," I stared in his eyes.

He lightly chuckled, "Don't be-"

I couldn't help myself, everything I thought started pouring out of me, "I-I'm so sorry for acting like that what was I even thi-"

Suddenly Clay placed his lips onto mine, they were so warm.

I froze.

His lips were so soft and sweet. It was like watermelon on a summer day. His breath was warm. Our lips were desperate, but it seemed so perfect. It was the perfect kiss. It felt like time stopped going by. My mind was blank, all I could manage to think about was him. My eyes were closed, I had to savor this feeling, this moment.

Clay parted his lips from mine. We longingly looked into each others eyes. We stood still, too mesmerized by each other. We didn't say anything with our mouths, but our eyes...they said a thousand words.

With his sweet smile, Clay chuckled right before throwing the jacket he held over us to the ground.

"I have to hold you," He murmured as he held my face with his soft hands, right before placing his lips onto mine again.

I closed my eyes, this feeling, I can't explain it, but I can't stop. This feeling made me fluffy inside, his warmth, his caress, Clay. His hands held my jaw with care and....love. His nose softly glided over mine. We both kept each other warm. Though we were both soaking wet, we couldn't even feel any other feeling but each other. I don't want this moment to end.

He didn't care that I was a mess and I didn't care that he was a mess either. We were in love and we were blinded. We both knew we were blinded, but didn't care. Anything was worth this feeling, this feeling we both had inside us. No one could make me feel like the way he made me feel and no one could make him feel like the way I could.
