"Ooo baby look at this!" I turned to see what Casey was looking at, we were in Hobby Lobby, she was moving soon and was trying to find some things for her apartment. Her and Sarai were finally moving in together after talking about it for a good minute. They both had found somebody to take over their current leases so they were good to go.

"Yeah that's dope," I said as I picked up the glass she was holding looking over it. Casey and I had grown a lot closer over the last couple of months, after everything that happened at the hookah spot shit was rough for a minute but she told me how she felt about the situation, I told her how I felt, we apologized and moved forward.

As much time as we were spending together I felt like we were in a relationship though, shit even other girls thought she was my girl. But I hadn't made shit official yet, I was lowkey thinking about it though.

She had stuck with my ass through thick and thin; girl after girl and she was still here. I don't know if I should call her exceptionally loyal or dumb as fuck to be real. But I fucked with her nonetheless.

Once Casey picked out some more things she wanted I bought them and we headed to eat before I got up with the boys. She decided on the Cheesecake Factory so that's where we were headed.

I let out a deep sigh as I got comfortable in the booth, I sat across from her with my head in my phone just scrolling through social media. "Babe, I have a question," she spoke pulling my attention. We had put our order in so now we were waiting for our food to come out, which it should have been coming out at any minute at this point. "Wassup?" I asked as I put my phone down, looking at her.

"Be honest, and don't think I'm pushing or nothing" she said as she picked up her drink and sipped it.

I already knew it was about to be some bullshit, "iight."

"Can you see yourself with me long term?" she rested her head on her hand, looking at me.

I smiled and laughed lightly as I licked my lips, "of course I can see myself digging in your guts forever." I raised my eyebrows with a smile on my face.

She laughed, throwing her napkin at me, "Landon you get on my fucking nerves. I'm serious."

I laughed, putting my hand up to catch the napkin, which I did successfully. "I'm serious too baby," I said with a wink.

Luckily the waitress came out with our food allowing the conversation to be put to a stop for the time being. I'm twenty-one I wasn't thinking long term with shit right now. Casey was a nice fuck and a bomb ass chick to kick it with, yeah I'd cuff her probably but long term? In her mind I felt like that was actually forever, marriage and shit and I couldn't see forever with nothing right now. I wasn't even trying to think that far.

Once we finished up, we left and I dropped her off as I headed to the gym to meet up with the boys. Once I pulled up at the gym I grabbed my gym bag, went inside, and changed before heading to the court.

"My nigga, wassup?" Jodie said as he extended his hand to me to dap me up. I had just walked into the courts, Bryan and Chris had already started hooping. It looked like Jodie had just gotten there a little before I did. "Wassup?" I said as I connected my hand with his.

"Not shit man, not shit" he sat down, lacing up his shoes so that they were tighter, "wassup with you? I ain't seen you in a couple of days."

I sat down beside him taking my watch off and my phone out of my pocket to put them in my bag, "same ol' same ol, Casey been wanting me to stay with her, so you know how that shit go."

He nodded his head, "shit man, you make it official with her or what?"

I laughed, "nahh, but shit it feel like it. I ain't never spent so much time with one girl." I shook my head at the thought of it.

He laughed, "that's what I'm saying this shit is new for you, I can't recall a time you were a one woman man. Shit, it's sound like after all that shit went down it changed a nigga." He said bumping my arm with his elbow with a little smile on his face.

I started thinking about that shit, lowkey is what it seemed like, I'd hurt and fucked over plenty of girls but it has never brought drama like the Aria situation did so I know that caused me to chill out and lay low for a while. But shit, that nigga pointing it out had me thinking I needed to get back to my old self.

"But aye man, have you talked to Aria?" he asked taking me out of my thoughts.

I squinted my eyes, looking at him as if he was crazy. This nigga knew I didn't talk to Aria. I reached out to Aria every single day for two weeks straight and she ignored me every time, I texted, I called, tried to talk to her the times I did see her on campus and she straight up curved a nigga. She wasn't fucking with me, from what I knew she wasn't fucking with any of my boys and I'd came to terms with that. It was what it was.

I heard she ain't fuck with Mark pussy ass either and that's what his dumbass get. I wanted his head bad, I only got two hits on him cause he was acting pussy as hell not fighting back and I wanted a fair fight. What kind of nigga rat you out over some pussy he never had a chance with? Your nigga ain't always your nigga. But off that bitch.

"Nigga you know damn well I haven't" I said as I zipped my bag back up.

He stood up, "oh, I thought you might have."

I looked at him, rubbing my hand over my head. "Why would you think that?" That shit didn't make no sense to me.

"I saw her in Walmart or whatever." He shrugged.

I chuckled with a confused look on my face, "and what the fuck that mean? Cause you saw her we were supposed to have talked?"

He shook his head, standing up. "Man, nothing I'm probably just tripping." I would have let the shit go had he not said that. But what the hell was he tripping about? "Nahh Jodie, what you mean? You don't be on no bullshit. Wassup?"

He crossed his arms, "I mean it probably ain't even yours."

I was confused as fuck, I stood up too. "Jodie man what the fuck are you talking about?" Those words sounded like a fucking baby and I ain't have time for that shit. Hell nahh.

"I saw her with a pregnancy test." See, exactly what I said, hell nahh.

I laughed, "and that shit made you think I talked to her why?"

He shook his head, "I know Aria don't get around like that and I know you fucked her, but I said I could be tripping. I'm sure you wrapped it up. I'm overthinking it, it's not like me and her talk anymore, she don't tell me shit. Fuck it though, forget I even brought it up." He said waving his hand as he started walking towards the court.

I couldn't forget that he brought that shit up, I didn't wrap it up. "When was this? That you saw her." I slightly yelled.

"Like two days ago." He yelled back as Chris passed him the ball.

I nodded my head, walking to the court as well, "two on two! Let's go!" Chris demanded. I started moving ready to guard Bryan but my mind was definitely on that shit. I wasn't ready to be no daddy, I didn't even want to digest the conversation.

She wasn't pregnant, she would have said something to me by now right? It's been two days since he saw her and if she knows he saw her, then she knows he would have said something to me.

I shook the thoughts away, I couldn't stress the what if's. I needed to focus on whooping these niggas ass on the court.

--

There was a hard knock on my door waking me up out of my sleep. All that balling yesterday had a nigga tired, we played for hours. I looked at my phone to see the time, seeing that it was after two.

I took a nap after my nine am expecting to be up by twelve to make it to my one 'o clock, but I clearly misjudged that shit. I yelled groggily for them to come in as I started pulling myself out of the bed.

Kennedy walked in with a big smile on her face, "hey" she began with her face changing to one of confusion, "Landon, it's too late to be sleep."

I laughed rubbing my hands over my face, "a nigga was tired."

"I see," she said with a smile as she sat in the chair by my desk with one foot under her butt. "Wassup?" I questioned as I sat all the way up, sitting on the edge of my bed.

She shook her head, "nothing, just checking on you." She smiled and then quickly looked down at her nails. Kennedy and I had grown to be pretty cool, contrary to her friend hating me. She ain't fuck with me for a minute after the bet situation, but she was fucking with Chris so hard she was always over here so she eventually heard me out and we squashed all the bullshit and been cool as hell ever since.

"Nah, wassup?" I asked. She rarely ever stopped in my room to just check on me. "Spill the tea." I said mockingly.

She looked up at me and laughed, "don't do that. But seriously, how are you? How are you and what's her name," she snapped like she was trying to think of her name. "Catastrophe?" She asked.

I laughed, she wasn't a fan of Casey and I never expected her to be. "You got jokes, Casey and I are good." I emphasized her name.

She nodded, "that's her name. She just always look a mess, like a catastrophe that's probably why I mixed it up."

"Man Kennedy get the fuck on." I smiled, she was always trying to play her. She laughed as I asked her the same question in return, "how are you and that nigga you claim you with." I asked as she rolled her eyes. She gave me a stale face before cracking a smile, "don't do that; we are together! Not officially yet but that's my boo! But we cool, we cool."

"That's wassup, you know what's crazy though?"

She repositioned herself, "what?"

"Your ass sure do be over here a lot to be dealing with another nigga," I said with my eyebrows raised and a small smile.

She rolled her eyes, "fuck you," she began with a laugh. "We cool as fuck, Chris my nigga, you my nigga. It's not like me and him are fucking anymore."

"Not what I heard" I said with a laugh. From what he told they definitely had fucked last month.

She had a straight face, "I know you lying. We haven't, in like a month."

"Kennedy, you been dealing with that nigga for more than a month." I shook my head, that's why you could never trust it.

"But we just got this serious recently and I cut that shit off with Chris, he be trying but it's not happening."

I just shook my head, "that man can't know you and Chris' history."

She shrugged, "he don't, but it doesn't matter. It's not like that no more."

"Nahh, fuck that." I said slicing my hand through the air. "Ain't no fucking way, let me ever find out some shit like that I'd go crazy."

She rolled her eyes, "anyways, speaking of history and all that shit." She used her hands to make quotes as she said 'history and shit.'

"What about it?" I asked as I picked up my phone checking my notifications.

"Actually nevermind," she said as she got up making her way to my door. I looked up watching her walk out my room before looking back at my phone, she always did shit like that but I never pushed for whatever she was about to say. She always broke down eventually.

"Aye," I said before she got too far, she turned around looking at me. "I got a question" she looked at me nodding her head telling me to continue.

"Is Aria pregnant?" The shit Jodie said had been on my mind so I truly was curious. I didn't think Kennedy would lie to me.

She got wide eyed, I could tell I caught her off guard. She crossed her arms, relaxing her face. "Huh? What made you ask that?"

I stood up as I started walking out my room, "somebody told me they saw her with pregnancy test." I made my way past her as I headed to the kitchen, I was hungry. She followed behind me, I peeped Chris sitting out in the living room on his phone.

She rolled her eyes, "Jodie" she said under her breathe. I looked at her and smiled as I grabbed a bowl. "I don't know" she said with ease as she shrugged.

I had just started pouring some cereal into the bowl, I snapped my head up real quick, "you don't know? That mean she might be?"

She shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know."

She was lying she knew, she just wasn't going to tell me. With her not wanting to tell me it made me feel like she had to be pregnant. If she wasn't pregnant Kennedy would have just came out and said that shit. They were best friends she knew. I know she fucking knew.

I went and grabbed the milk out of the fridge, "I hear you." I said dropping the conversation, I wasn't about to push. Shit it probably wasn't mine, which is why they weren't making it my business to know. That had to be it.

I grabbed a spoon and my bowl of cereal and headed back to my room. I damn sure wasn't about to even worry about it.
