《With You (A Kamijirou Fanfic)》Epilogue

A Year Later
The end of the year was soon approaching, and that means, the date for third years' much anticipated finals were just a few steps away. The very next day to be more specific. Kyoka and Denki were bending over their mock test papers, going through every single mistake and memorising the important points....mainly Denki, coached carefuly by Sensei Kyoka.
"Kyoka...can't I catch a break already-? I'm pretty sure I've got this down flat from the amount of times you beat it into my head," Denki groaned, sprawling on the floor in clear exhaustion.
Kyoka pondered over his request for a moment and responded, "Just one more time. Then you may leave. And no more slacking off!"
Denki's eyes twinkled at the offer and from that minute on, he poured his soul into the worksheet...a rather abnormal sight, Kirishima had to admit, who caught a glance as he passed the slightly open door. The electric blonde was quietly scribbling away at the paper in front of him. After long last, he pushed the mock test over to Kyoka for her to inspect.
"Other than the careless mistake in question 10, everything else was well done. Good job," Kyoka praised him, as he ruffled his hair. Denki grinned, giving off the vibes a golden retriever would when its owner praised it.
Denki then frowned, as a thought came over him. What would they do once they've graduated? Of course, he and Kyoka were going their own separate ways once they become heroes, fresh from the mint...but wouldn't that mean they would have to break up? The thought has been eating him up every once in a while, but as the gap between the present and graduation day drew nearer, his insecurities became rapidly frequent, to the point it had kept him up at night.

Being in a relationship meant being open with one another, but Denki wouldn't want Kyoka to think of him as silly. Noooo. He wanted to be a man she could depend on. Even if it meant things eventually ending between them, he wanted to be a pillar to her until the last moment.
Meanwhile, Kyoka could observe that something was very wrong. The boy beside her was being anything but himself lately. It bothered her, but she figured she'd confront him when he feels more comfortable to open up. She brushed the thought aside and silently resumed her studies.
~~~~~
"Next up can we have Kaminari Denki, 9th place in class 3A, to come up stage to receive his diploma?" Denki tensed as he heard Principle Nezu announce his name. He solemnly approached the stage and shakily took the scroll. The scroll that was the beginning to his new identity. He thanked the principle, and bowed to the audience, and nearly tripped on his way back to his seat. Man...
Kyoka, who was seated next to him as 8th place, took his hand in hers and gave it a little squeeze. "Hey, you were a little awkward up there, but you did great," she whispered. Denki felt as if all the nervousness in him had dissolved into nothing but pure joy. His ears warmed up as he entangled her fingers in his and squeezed back. "Thank you."
More than an hour later, and a bit of the usual drama from Monoma, the students threw their flower pins into the air and cried, "PLUS ULTRA", signifying the end of the peak of of their youth, and onto new beginnings and the start of new stories that would be told for generations to come.
People were sobbing with joy, others were screaming, dancing....kissing even. It was too much for poor Kyoka's sensitive ears to take. Noticing this, Denki ushered her to someplace quieter, for the both of them to savour the last of their sweet, sweet school life. They both sat down at what used to be their classroom, reminiscing the memories they'd shared together and with their friends, holding hands under the desks and tracing the mild vandalism on it with their fingers.
Kyoka found this a good moment to interrogate her boyfriend. "So? What's been troubling you for the past week? And don't try to cover it up and say it's nothing,'cause it isn't. You weren't quite yourself."
Denki's eyes widened with shock. He sighed, as in to give up. "Am I really that easy to read?"
The girl gave him a rather curt look as if to say "Hey. Don't you dare try to change the subject."
"Okay! Okay! I'll tell you! Just...don't laugh at me or call me stupid for it, because I already know it's dumb." Denki glanced over at her eager expression, promising him that she would take him seriously. "Alright...it's just that, are we gonna break up?"
Kyoka's dancing eyes trembled, nervously. "W-what...what are you talking about? Break up?"
Denki's brained went empty. He didn't know what to say. In a moment, all the things he had kept bottling up, started to explode. "NO! It's not that I want us to break up, Kyoka! It's just that, we're being selected for agencies...separate agencies. I mean, wouldn't you want to break up with me? There might be guys who would be better for you, smarter, probably even stronger than me, and definitely financially more stable than me. Or, or maybe you would think I'm a distraction for you -"
Denki immediately ceased his rambling as he felt her lips touch his. He felt himself melt against her form as they embraced each other while sharing a passionate kiss. Kyoka pulled away for a moment to catch her breath before continuing to snog him. She hoped that through her feelings for him, she was able to answer his questions and calm the storm in his heart. Feeling him ask for entrance, she opened her mouth and let him explore more of her. It was a few months since they last shared a kiss as passionate as this one. Kyoka pulled away and wrapped her arms around his neck, a couple tears painting her cheeks.
"Never. You're never a hindrance to me. And I'd never want you out of my life. I'm never replacing you. You're the only Kaminari Denki in the world. And I'd go anywhere, absolutely anywhere, even if it was to hell, as long as it's with you."
With You was inspired by an impulse and a heavy love for Kamijirou during my shipping phase. Please note that this was done by an amateur writer with zero experience. Hope you enjoyed, and feel free to drop your feedback and whether or not you'd like more from me in future. Have a great day!
Serena had died a Celestial. One of the few who were meant to rule over the vast multiverse. Yet she was inexplicably reborn. Carrying the knowledge of her past life, she seeks to do what her kind does best... rule. Yet, the multiverse isn't what it once was. Mortals aspire to become what the celestials once were, through levels or classes or cultivation. New things that didn't and shouldn't exist. And these mortals are only the beginning of what stands in her way. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Warning: There will be times that morally suspect themes happen. While I have little to no intention of showing them (especially during a Writathon) things like abuse of all kinds (neglect, emotional, mental, spiritual, physical and sexual) can or be implied to have happened. These are played to the horrors such things are, and are treated with the seriousness and aftereffects it would cause. Progression + Cultivation + GameLit + Multiverse + Slow Build + Slow Burn + Worldbuilding + Grimbright + Multiple POVs = Insanity for all. This the first time I am seriously writing an original story. I will be Writing each book in Parts/Arcs (3-6) with mini arcs (3-6 in each arc). Each Mini-arc is 5-14 or so chapters. I like progression stories and I've always wanted to try and write one like a few of the web novels that inspired me. The Game Lit aspects will be more in the background, with focus on other details like dungeons, monsters, loot, morality, and so on. There will be focus on various kinds of progression. Updates 3-5 days a week (Usually weekdays). Chapters will be roughly 1000-2500 words and alternate wildly.
