"....Denki, why're you panting..?"
Kyoka had been waiting outside Gym Gamma where the dance was supposedly held, only to meet Denki arrive 10 minutes late, gasping for air as if he'd just run a 10 mile marathon.
"Keijirou happened...he dragged me and Monoma to like every single stall, then to the mall, then to some maid cafe...and then- well actually I had no idea where we went next. I stopped paying attention after the cafe, but I think we actually travelled to Thailand at some point, I don't know. We just barely managed to escape him when he got distracted by some dog."
There was so many questions Kyoka wanted to ask, but she decided it wasn't a good time. How on earth did Hajime even manage to travel all the way to Thailand in a freaking day?
"Let's just...go in. Unless you're too tired to dance, totally understandable. I'm not really much of a dancer so-" Kyoka was cut short with a quick peck on the lips.
Denki parted himself and gave her a shy smile. "It's rare thata UA even holds dances so why don't we take this opportunity?" When he saw that Kyoka was too speechless to reply, he just took her hand and led her inside, too embarrassed to look her in the eye.
Kyoka somehow managed to keep a straight face, even though her mind was in complete chaos. "Wait...that was my first kiss. Denki took my first kiss...his lips were soft..I think....that felt good...," she thought, her mind was so occupied that she didn't notice that Denki had left her for a bit to chat with the boys and she was being bombarded with questions by the girls.
"JIROUUUU!! Did my eyes just deceive me or did Kaminari-kun actually kiss you?!" Hagakure asked, bouncing in excitement..well assuming she was bouncing as her dress went up and down.

"Oho, things will get spicier after the dance is over. As Class 2A's official Love Guru, I'm pretty certain that Kaminari will take you into his room and-" Mina's mouth was hurriedly silenced by a flustered Uraraka.
"Watch it, Mina-chan. You don't want to become a Mineta 2.0."
Mineta has got to have some kind of super-hearing whenever it involves girls. "Did you girls say my name? Of course you'd want me over the other boys! I'd be happy to-"
*BOOM*
"!!" Bakugou would've murdered grape juice if it weren't for Kirishima who silently mumbled, "Uraraka-san isn't the only girl he's hitting on..."
The girls shrugged as they dispersed to their separate dates.
Denki offered his hand, to which Kyoka gladly took. He pulled Kyoka to the dance floor and twirled her.
"Y'know, Kyoka, you're a pretty good dancer," he said, winking.
Kyoka sniffed in mock pompousness. "I AM a hecking good dancer. You, sir, on the other hand is not. You keep stepping on my toes," she stated, trying her best not to burst out giggling.
"Care to teach me, then...sensei?" Kyoka had expected him to jokingly whine, not flirt uncharacteristically with her. Nor did she know that she had a sensei kink. It was unexpectedly.... quite a turn on to be called 'sensei' .
She pulled her face down, trying to mimic the expression of a certain homeroom teacher. "You brat had better not be wasting my time. Now hurry up so I can go mind my own business."
"So, what's this business of yours, sensei?" Denki asked, jokingly.
"I don't know...ditching this stuffy hall and escaping to the dorm to make out with my boyfriend?" Kyoka said suggestively, quitting the Aizawa impression...after all he was giving the couple suspicious glances as if he could tell what kind of words they were exchanging over all the noise.
"Sounds like a plan."
Let's just say, Iida was convinced that the dorms were haunted that night when he heard weird noises when he returned from the dorms that night ;)

Wander West, in Shadow
BOOK 1 COMPLETED A young wizard journeys west, through dark forests and dangerous lands, searching for something. Accompanied by a wild witch who has secrets of her own, they come across terrible creatures, hauntings, cursed villages, and memories from their past. Who else will they meet along their journey, and to find what he is looking for, how far will the wizard have to wander west? NOTE: The above synopsis is intentionally written to be as spoiler-free as possible. If you would like a more in-detail synopsis, one that contains minor spoilers, please check out the "Synopsis" chapter at the beginning of this fiction. If you read and enjoy, please leave a rating or review! FORMERLY TITLED: THE GLIMMERLING This story was formerly titled "The Glimmerling", because the first part was a short story of that title; it has since been expanded upon, thus the title change. Chapters 1-8 (30k words) are the first 'arc', if you want to get a feel for the story. To give some context on the setting: Magic is a bit weaker in this story than you might be used to, and we start off following some relatively new magic users. For some perspective, being able to light a campfire with magic is considered relatively advanced for someone who is the age of the main character. Magic can become very powerful - and there are some examples of powerful wizards within this story - but it's not where the main characters are yet. Part of the story is about following them as they learn more about magic. Enemies are also very dangerous, and running, hiding, or trying to talk their way out of a dangerous situation is often a better choice than fighting for the characters. While I have added tags for traumatizing content, sexuality, violence, swearing, etc. I try to avoid super-explicit descriptions of these things. But they are part of the story.

Dan Martin has a good life. He's respected at his job, and enjoys his work. He is close to his family, and they love and support him. With engaging hobbies, relative financial security, and freedom to learn and pursue his interests, Dan is happy. So it's not particularly welcome when he's selected by an inscrutable and seemingly omnipotent System as a test subject. The downsides: All of this is insane and by any rational analysis he's gonna die. The upsides: Super powers, a cure for a physical disability that had limited him, and above all, so very much to learn (for as long as he can avoid dying). I am very much a beginner as an author, and any feedback or suggestions on how to improve would be deeply appreciated. Chapter releases should be daily for the first two weeks and sporadic after that as I use up my buffer. Please consider this work as a rough draft subject to revision and/or retcon. It is not only my first attempt at original story telling, but at world building and RPG style system design. The latter has been very difficult, even drawing on the brilliant work of many RPGs and LitRPGs for inspiration. Thank you to any willing to give a new story and a new writer a try!

"'Bye.' I say after Edwin's kiss. He gives me a small smile that honestly looks more like a grimace. It makes me a little uncomfortable having him kiss me in the library. Edwin walks away, and someone standing in the corner of my vision makes me turn in my seat. A tall, muscular man is standing there, his arms crossed, staring at me. He's got dark brown hair, perfect eyebrows, and soft brown eyes. Honestly, he's gorgeous. And since I've read, and edited, about five articles about him, I recognize him immediately.Dane Sawyer. He's the best pitcher on our baseball team. He's hoping to go pro, although I'm not totally sure what the process is surrounding that, since I don't retain much of the information from the articles that I read about him. I know that he's also a junior, and that his girlfriend is hot as fuck. I've seen them together on campus. They're hard to miss because they are easily one of the most attractive couples that I've ever seen. I'm convinced that I must be hallucinating, because he makes eye contact and walks towards me. 'That was awkward.'"~~~Junior year is starting off chaotic for Mackenzie Brooks as she steps into her role as the editor-in-chief of the college's newspaper. She's smart, focused on school, the paper, and her TA responsibilities. Junior year should be starting off easy for Dane Sawyer. He's the star pitcher of the baseball team; attractive, athletic, desirable, with a hot girlfriend. Unfortunately, he's also failing computer science which is the one thing he sees that is in the way of his pro career. Different in more ways that one, when the two run into each other in the library, it's an immediate disaster. But when Dane convinces Mackenzie to be his tutor, both of their lives begin to change.
