《Dark Past: Abuse- Anakin & Ahsoka》Chapter 18: So Who Then?

"Is she alright?" A panicked voice asked.
Anakin? Ahsoka tried to move, but she was strapped down in a soft bed by some invisible, gravitational force.
"We're going to put her in an induced coma for a few weeks. This could be more than Sepsis, but for all we know, it's life threatening."
Anakin's POV:
I need to get to the bottom of this. Firstly, how, out of nowhere, did she get Sepsis? Secondly, if she already had it for a while, why didn't she tell me? Then, there are the wounds. Deep, crimson gashes marring her body, a disgustingly artistic show of blood.
I walked out of the hospital silently. Captain Rex saluted me.
"Is Commander Tano alright, sir?" He asked apprehensively.
I nodded gravely, but didn't say anything else. There was something wrong.
Someone can't be abusing her, right? But if they are...
I had to find out.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I headed straight to the youngling's quarters. I needed to have a quick talk with her classmates. And by talk, I meant a decisive screaming.
I stormed towards the bunks, identifying Ahsoka's class. As soon as I entered, the chatty children stopped gossiping and stared at me deferentially.
"Alright, which one of you know Ahsoka Tano very well?" I inquired impassively, trying my best not to strangle all of them alive. I pressed "record" on my commlink.
Three people raised their hands.
"And who are you?" I asked.
"I'm Kir- er, Bariss Offee, at your service." One of them curtsied politely.
"I'm Velakina. Call me Kina." Another piped up.
"I'm Cleo." the last said meekly.
"Good. Come with me." I muttered.
They followed me obediently as I led them outside.
"Alright, so, as you know, a certain incident has been uncovered by the Council." I said sharply. "A certain incident involving Padawan Tano and recent allegations of...battle scars." That was a lie, and I hoped they wouldn't notice. The Jedi Council hadn't started any investigations- heck, the dimwits didn't even know what was going on.
They all shuffled around nervously.
"So, what happened?" Bariss asked innocently. "Did she get injured?"
"No, but the Council suspects that one of her classmates sabotaged one of her missions, which led to the... scars." I struggled to make the story sound genuine; every time I was about to repeat "abuse", I remembered not to reveal anything.
"Well, I overheard Qania brag that she was going to Raarsis." Kina offered helpfully.
"Who's Qania?" I snapped.
"She's one of the older younglings." Cleo said respectfully. "Hates everyone."
"Alright." I nodded. "Thank you."
I motioned for them to go, then asked for Qania. A sturdy Nautolan with pale pink skin stepped up. She wore grey robes and grey boots, and had a silver band around her head.
I debriefed her with the situation, mentioning that Kina had said something about Raarsis.
"Master Skywalker, I never talked to anyone about going anywhere- where is Raarsis anyways?" She said defiantly. I sighed.
"If you can tell me anything-
"I'm telling the truth!" She yelled, then shamefully shrank back. "I'm sorry. It's just that I-I- well, I was talking to Master Secura about a mission to Tatooine. Maybe Kina made a mistake?"
"It's fine," I said. "Any proof though?"
She showed me graphs and plans they had drawn out, as well as maps she had memorized.
I turned around. What a dead end. Heading to the mess hall, I greeted Rex.
"Any news, sir?" He asked dubiously.
"No." I said exasperatedly. Nothing was working. He handed me a ration bar, then went to sit with Fives and Echo, leaving time to ponder over the situation. I chewed through the food, replaying the recording.
"I'm Kir- er, Bariss Offee, at your service."
"I'm Velakina. Call me Kina."
"I'm Cleo."
"Good. Come with me."
There was a brief, awkward pause, and I could hear the echo of shuffling feet.
"Alright, so, as you know, a certain incident has been uncovered by the Council. A certain incident involving Padawan Tano and recent allegations of...battle scars."
"So, what happened? Did she get injured?"
"Well, I overheard Qania brag that she was going to Raarsis."
Just as I was listening, my comm decided to conveniently break, replaying the same phrase over and over again.
"Well, I overheard Qania brag that she was going to Raarsis."
"Well, I overheard Qania brag that she was going to Raarsis."
Suddenly, I gasped.
Raarsis?
When did I tell anybody, specifically Kina, that Ahsoka had gone to that dusty planet?
That traitor.
