I grinned and jumped in the car, my foot tapping in the footwell. I was ready for this. I've been ready for this.

I glanced at him as he got in the car.

It was time, and no one could stop us.

He started the car and put in a tape, it playing a mixtape he had made with all my favorite songs.

1985 by Bowling For Soup blasted throughout the 90's car. I smiled and sang along with him as we approached our first of many destinations.

I grinned at him as I rechecked the calendar on my phone.

I smiled even more after confirming the date. August 18, 2017.

The car stops abruptly, and Tae winks at me. I nod and bring out my duffel bag, taking out a can of paint.

He started spraying a random pikachu looking animal, and I immediately have a flashback. I remember back when we would all go to that one pool in the middle of the woods and mess around, teens without consequences we called ourselves.

It filled me with happy memories as I sprayed the already graffitied bus stop, sirens distant. Tae had parked his car in the alleyway, and we bolted past it, adrenaline rushing through my veins.

I smiled hugely as we turned a corner, leading us to the very place I had hoped it would.
