《Her and I (Kyouka Jirou x Fem Reader)》Chapter Twenty Five

"Himiko Toga," I said in recognition, breathless as I watched (n/n)'s eyes shift with internal struggle. She continuously mouthed 'run' at me, but at this point it was clear that she was aware I was going no where. "What are you doing here?" I asked the villain angrily.
"I've come to retrieve your girlfriend," She grinned. "Or should I say, 'my love'." A droplet of blood ran down her chin from her lips. I hoped to god that it was her own, but I knew better. Surely she'd used one of the student's blood to sneak into UA in their disguised as them. I could only hope that whoever her victim was was okay, because right now all my focus was on (n/n)'s safety.
But I couldn't think of anything. Not a single solution. If I did nothing, Toga would take (n/n), and if I did something she would stab her, which would only result in injury to (n/n) and death the the rest of us. I'd never been so incredibly frustrated.
Think, Kyouka, think.
"Alright, alright," Toga said, rolling her eyes and bouncing from one foot to another, knife still pressed to a shaking (n/n)'s back. "I'll make it a little easier for you. You have ten seconds to get out or I'll stab her," My mouth dropped in shock and utter fear whilst Toga grinned. "See? Isn't that better! Aaaaaand one." She began counting, slowly, pouting as she did.
This does not make things easier. (n/n) has become so important to me, if she died I didn't know what I would do. She's my everything. I love her.
"Twoo." Toga dragged out her words painfully, making (n/n) wince.
How had this happened? It was just a normal day at school and now.. this.
"Three."
I couldn't lose her.
"Four."
But how could I save her?
"Five."
I looked around desperately. Is there any way I can sacrifice myself to keep her alive?
"Six."
I feel so helpless. So stupid.
"Seven."
What do I do? What do I do? What do I do?

"Eight."
I met her eyes. They were no longer fearful for her own life, I could tell. She was scared for me.
"Nine."
I let out a breath of resignation and spoke the only words I could think of. "Make yourself bleed," Tears sprung into my eyes. "And touch her. End this." (n/n)'s eyes grew wide and she shook her head violently.
"You'll die too!" She yelled.
"But you won't," I spoke quietly. "Do it." She wouldn't, I knew she wouldn't. So I grabbed the nearest, sharpest thing I could find.
And prepared to throw it.
"Ten-" All in one motion I threw the scissors in my hand and the door swung open, which caught Toga's attention just long enough for (n/n) to knock the knife out of her hand and duck beneath the scissors. I ran forward and grabbed the knife, chucking it out of the window Toga had left wide open upon entering, and the figure who'd opened the door launched forward and tackled the villain to the ground.
"Gotcha!" He yelled. Me and (n/n) turned to see Bakugo on top of Toga, one hand pressed against her throat and the other binding her hands together tightly. He turned, breathlessly, to us. "I heard yelling and thought y'all were fucking, so I came to tell you to shut the hell up. I don't know if I'm more happy or horrified at how wrong I was." He said, same scowl crossed with a smirk as always painted on his face.
For some reason it was that moment that I began crying. Really crying. I slid down the wall to the floor and (n/n) crawled over to embrace me.
"Are you okay?" She asked.
"Am I okay?" I laughed, incredulous. "Are you okay is the real question!" She furrowed her brows, confused.
"But I already know I'm okay, so why would I be asking that? I want to know if you're okay."
Bakugo fake gagged. "Why do I keep wasting my time saving goddamn idiots. I swear to god, if you guys do anymore lovey-dovey crying shit I'll let Toga go."

"No!" We yelled in unison.
"Aww." Toga whined beneath his grasp.
The police eventually came and got Toga, as well as confirmed that she was the only intruder on campus, likely sent by the LOV to bring me back. Kyouka cried for a while, so I got permission from Aizawa, though he was not happy to let me off campus after the incident, to go take her for an ice cream date to cheer her up. After that, we hadn't been made to go back to class and instead had had a chill rest of the day in Kyouka's dorm watching Ghibli films.
Now it had gotten dark, and everyone else in the dorms was asleep. We had just finished Ponyo and the room was quiet for the first time in a while. After a few minutes Kyouka took a deep breath in and spoke.
"I don't want you to go back to your dorm tonight," She said reluctantly. "I know it's stupid, but I'd feel better if you were where I could see you. If I could make sure you're safe." I paused before responding.
"Well good, because I'd rather stay here anyway," I smiled at first, before a smirk crossed my face. "In fact, I was wondering something."
"Uh oh," Kyouka pursed her lips. "That doesn't sound good."
"I take it you write songs sometimes," I began. "So, have you ever written any about me?" I grinned, holding in a laugh at her obvious embarrassment. Kyouka's face turned a deep shade of red and she turned away.
"Can't we talk about how I almost stabbed you with scissors instead!" She yelled, flustered. I laughed heartily.
"Wow it must be one bad song if you'd rather talk about that than show me."
"Songs," She corrected, looking down to her lap and curling an ear jack around her pointer finger. "I've written.. many about you." She looked up to see me, now even redder than herself, and raised her eyebrows.
"You- you've- why would.. you- and.. me? You wrote me? I mean- songs? And- And I- Muse? Music muse..ic?" I muttered, stopped shortly by Kyouka leaning in to kiss me. It took a moment before I unfroze, and then I wrapped my arms around her and kissed back passionately. Eventually, much to my disappointment, she pulled away.
"You sound like Midoriya," She laughed. "But I must say, the mumbling is much cuter on you than it is on him."
"Hey! Don't insult the sweet child." I defended, pouting.
"I wasn't insulting him, I was complimenting you." Kyouka smiled. I frowned.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever," Then grinned. "Now where do you keep these songs?" I rolled off of the bed and shuffled over to Kyouka's desk on my knees before I began pulling out drawers.
"Wait, wait no-" Kyouka began protesting as I slid open the bottom drawer. I looked back at her before peering inside. And sure enough, at the bottom of the drawer was a little notebook titled '(y/n)' with a little heart and music note drawn next to it. I picked it up and held it close to my chest, then turned around to face Kyouka. I bit my lip and was on the verge of comically bawling out of affection when I found my voice,
"You have a whole song writing notebook for me?" I asked. Kyouka sighed and planted her face into her hands.
"Don't read it." She groaned, voice muffled by her hands.
"Hey," I frowned, taking her hands. "I almost got murdered by my ex-captor and one of the sources of my endless trauma. I deserve this," I huffed. "But I won't read it-"
Kyouka looked up, hopeful.
"-because you're going to sing me the songs." I grinned.
"Ahhh," Kyouka groaned loudly before glaring at me with a special intensity only private writers can conjure. "Ehhh. I don't like it. But fine." She said, grabbing the notebook from my hands and getting off the bed to get her guitar. "Just don't make fun of me." I laughed and jumped up onto the bed, getting comftorable.
"I would never."
