《Her and I (Kyouka Jirou x Fem Reader)》Chapter Twenty Four

"It pleases me." Tokoyami relayed, appearing by my side as I walked towards the UA entrance. I jumped.
"Sorry, what?" I squeaked, surprised by his sudden appearance.
"It was not my intention to frighten you." He said, voice low.
"Just caught me off guard," I responded quickly. "What pleases you?"
"You and Jirou."
Had I been drinking something that would've been the comical moment to spit it out and double over coughing, face reddened. Unfortunately that was not the case, however my face was still plenty red.
"How'd you-"
"Mina gets news around pretty fast!" Midoriya chirped, appearing on my other side. "Personally I think it's awesome, and you two are a great pair!"
"Thanks.." I said, wondering by what means Mina had found out. We'd only gone on our first date yesterday, it seemed awfully quick and Kyouka wasn't exactly a gossiper.
Though it wouldn't bother me if she'd been so excited that she'd told people. I shook my head, a silly thought. She couldn't have been that excited. I, however, was. After the date me and Eri had had a proper night of recalling every little detail which had occurred. To her, it was riveting, and I was glad to have someone to tell.
Little sisters really aren't as bad as everyone says.
"(n/n)!" I heard Kyouka's voice as she walked up behind us.
"Well, we'll leave you to it," Midoriya exclaimed, dragging Tokoyami away with him towards the doors. "Just try not to be late to class or Iida'll get mad."
I nodded back hesitantly as Kyouka caught up.
"Hello." I greeted, somewhat bashfully.
"Hey." She responded, leaning in and offering a small peck on the cheek.
I pouted, earning one of her precious laughs.
"Sorry, let me fix that," Kyouka took my face in her hands and gently kissed my lips. "Better?" She asked, then took my hand.
"Better."
We began walking towards UA, hand in hand, each blushing. It was somewhat awkward, but worth it by all means. Besides, I could tell that soon enough being with her would diminish any awkwardness at all, we just had to get through this first part.
Not that I minded the first part.
"So, yesterday," I began quietly. She looked at me, confused, as if asking me to up the volume. "Yesterday," I repeated. "I was wondering if we could do that again sometime?"
She smiled.
"If it goes my way, then we'll be doing that again many times," Kyouka grinned before speaking again. "Just not right now, because you know, class," She tightened her grip on my hand. "Also, I was wondering," She continued. "Your quirk. I know it's been giving you some trouble, and I haven't checked in for a while on how that's going."

I thought about it, and smiled as I noticed that not a single worry concerning the dangers of my quirk had crossed my mind when she took my hand. A simple act that used to make my mind race in fear of hurting someone.
"It's been pretty tame recently. Shota's helped a lot."
"Good, I'm glad."
We walked into class from there, and school began shortly there-after.
"You're saying it's not too early to ask her to be my girlfriend?" I questioned, confused by Uraraka's previous statement.
"That's exactly what I'm saying," She responded. "Maybe don't be too forward. But she's clearly head over heels for you, and it's not like you're any different. I mean you've already said 'I love you'! I think it'd be weirder if you didn't ask."
I tapped my fingers on the table thoughtfully.
I usually sat with (n/n), Tokoyami and Shoji, but the latter two had left to sit somewhere else, even after we'd told them they didn't need to leave us alone. And (n/n) had just left to grab her math work from the classroom after I'd told her that I'd help out with one of the problems.
After that Uraraka, Mina and Kaminari had immediately made there way over and sat on either side of me. It was a bit of a nuisance, but there wasn't really anything I could do about it.
"Alright, I guess. Maybe I'll ask her soon." I responded.
"Yay!" Uraraka exclaimed.
"I can't believe my Jirou's in loove!" Kaminari sang.
I scrunched up my face, "Don't call me that, idiot. I'm not 'your' anything."
"That's right," Mina smirked. "She's all (y/n)'s." I rolled my eyes and rested my elbows on the table, then promptly sank my face into my hands.
Suddenly an alarm sounded and my head shot out of my hands. "What's that?" I asked. Uraraka shook her head in front of me, just as confused. At a nearby table Iida and Midoriya stood up.
"That is the intruder alarm," The prior yelled, voice resonating above both the alarm and everyone else's chatter. "Everyone make your way to the dorms immediately."
My table looked around, brows furrowed.
"I guess if Iida says so then we should, he is the class rep after all." Mina said, to which the rest of us nodded. After we got up and began to hurry towards the doors many of the other students followed suit.
Once we were in the hallway the mob of students exiting the cafeteria was stopped by Cementoss.

"Everyone," He yelled. "There is an unidentified intruder on campus. We are working on apprehending them, but until then I need you all to head to your dorm rooms, the doors will lock behind the last of you, so make sure no one is left behind and everyone gets to the right building!"
"We know sir," Tetsutetsu yelled. "Class 1A's rep beat you to it, now move out of the way!" The rest of the students yelled in agreement and Cementoss grumbled something before moving to the side of the hallway and letting everyone through.
As the mob moved forth, tossing around kids left and right, I froze in my tracks. (y/n).
"(y/n)," I yelled amongst the crowd. "Does anyone see her!"
"She's ahead with Eraser!" Someone yelled back from behind me. I let out a heavy sigh, grateful that she was safe with a pro, then was pushed through the doors leading outside by a few kids behind me.
Once I was outside I saw Iida and Yaomomo, along with some of my other classmates, gathering to the side. They were calling out for other 1A students, seemingly trying to get everyone together before heading to the dorms. I rushed over and once I was with them looked around.
"(y/n)'s not with you yet?" I asked worriedly. Kirishima patted me on the back.
"We already asked around, someone said they saw Mr. Aizawa escort her to the dorms before leaving."
"Alright." I said, still worried as long as she wasn't in my sight. The alarm most likely wasn't anything big, maybe just press like a couple of months ago. Still, I wanted to see her safe.
"Okay, that's everyone," Iida said, pointing one of his arms stiffly towards the dorms. "Let's go, stay close together."
We moved in one large blob towards the building, luckily not having quite as far to go as the other classes. Eventually we made it to UA Alliance and filed inside the dorms after Iida answered a few security questions.
After we were all inside, Iida pressed a confirmation of presence button on a digital security pad by the door, identical to the one on the outside, and the doors locked behind us with a loud click. Immediately afterwards, I rushed up the stairs to the third floor, mine and (n/n)'s. Some of my classmates called after me, but I ignored them.
"Jirou," Yaomomo called. "I know you need to check on her, but after you do, lock yourself in your room. Quickly."
"Okay." I called back, grateful for her understanding. I was sure (n/n) would be okay. Physically, at least. But she'd been through so much, I was worried that the alarm and all the chaos might have scared her.
Once I reached our floor I rushed back to the room beside Hagakure's, her room, and knocked impatiently. No answer came. I knocked again, this time harder. No answer. I was about to knock again when the doorknob turned, and slowly the door opened, just enough to reveal (n/n)'s head.
"Oh hi, Kyouka." She said. I thought that I would be relieved to see her, but something felt off. Her voice wavered when she spoke, and her eyes were unnaturally wide, almost fearful. My brows furrowed.
"(y/n), are you okay? Do you want to talk?" I asked. She smiled falsely.
"Um, not right now. Come back later? I have.. homework."
I frowned. Homework? During lockdown? She would have time to do that later, I didn't understand.
"Can you let me in," I asked. "Just for a second."
She looked behind her, then slowly turned her head back. "I don't think so," She responded. "Later, okay?" Very quickly, she brought out her hand from behind her and waved shortly before shutting the door. I took a moment to process it, but then I was sure. Her hand was red.
My mind raced. If it was her blood then it would be dangerous to go back in, but if it was her blood then I would already be dead. So, it was someone else's, which was somehow more concerning. Unless it was marker? The more optimistic of myself questioned, but I pushed it away, took in a deep breath,
And kicked in the door.
There, standing in the middle of the room, was (y/n). Her eyes were wide and she was frozen, as if in shock. After scanning her for injuries, my eyes went directly to metal pressed against the nape of her neck. The knife pressed against her. And holding it, a blonde girl in her school uniform, fanged grin wide and eyes crazed. Her cheek was cut and bled down her face, likely the blood which I had seen on (y/n)'s hand, as the red markings were smudged a little. The familiar looking girl frowned upon seeing me.
"Don't interruptt," She whined. "Don't you know that's rude."

Mage Among Superheroes
Turlough is a mage. He also happens to be an orc, generally lauded as being less intelligent than humans. He was unfortunately born with the Curse of the Barbarian, meaning that he can’t level up except through combat- which greatly hinders his ability to show he can be a proper mage. In a world with necromancers, dragons, invading armies, and all sorts of other monsters he would still be able to advance quickly, but unfortuantely… that world is not his world. An unprecedented peace reigns across the land, and in the last several decades there’s been little use for people capable of fighting- and thus little reason for people to fight him. So when he sees a portal in his master’s study he takes it, hoping to find a horde of demons or something equally foolish to combat at low level. But instead he ends up in a strange city full of skyscrapers and people running around in colorful outfits. Superheroes- and of course supervillains as well. What dangers and opportunities could await him in such a strange and unfamiliar world? Only time will tell. Inspired by many things in the superhero genre, and Super Minion specifically- though while the setting will share some standard elements, it is an original setting that will hopefully be as engaging as many of the other universes. Schedule: One chapter each Monday/Thursday, approx. 2000 words.
