I hate her, truly, sincerely HATE her! This thought went through Pacifica's head over and over as she watched Candy flirting with Dipper, HER Dipper. Well, not really hers. They weren't dating or anything. In fact she didnt even know if he had feelings for her But the fact that he didn't seem to like Candy back, that or he was oblivious to her flirting, gave her some hope.
Time to step in... she thought.
Dipper was at his locker, putting away books, when Candy walked up to him and started flirting. The thought of Candy liking him make him want to gag, but he tried to be nice and not show this outwardly. After about 2 minutes he noticed Pacifica a little ways down the hall, Man she's gorgeous... He thought to himself before shaking the thoughts and turning his attention back to Candy. He had had a crush on Pacifica since they were 13, Mabel insisted that she liked him back but he wasn't sure. Then, what seemed like out of nowhere, Pacifica was standing next to Dipper smiling. Northwest to the rescue, Dipper thought when he saw her.
"Hey, we sitting together at lunch?" She asked, giving him a 'your welcome' look.
"Oh, yeah!" He replied, thankful for his friend. "We should probably start heading that way."
"Yeah, probably."
"Well, I should be getting to my class," Candy said annoyed.
With that they all said their "see ya later"s and Dipper and Pacifica started toward the Cafeteria.
"Thank you," Dipper whispered.
"Hmm, not as oblivious as I thought," Pacifica replied. "Still pretty bad though."
"What am I oblivious to?"
"Ah, you'll figure it out sooner or later..."
"Come on you know I hate it when you do stuff like this," He said as they walked into the Cafeteria, turning to her.

"Really Dipper, it's not a big deal."
With that he decided to push her for more later, but right now he wanted lunch.
After school Dipper bumped into Candy.
"Hey Dipper!" She said, a huge smile on her face.
"Oh, hey Candy," he replied
"So, what's up with you and Pacifica?"
"What? Nothing! There isn't anything going on between me and Pacifica!" He said quickly.
"You realize that just made it all the more obvious right?
Dipper could feel the blush rising to his cheeks, "Really, there's nothing going on between us."
"Okay, if you say so... I really hope you're telling the truth because getting into a relationship with would be a pretty bad idea you know?"
"What's that supposed to mean," he said, sounding rather defensive.
A small smile appeared on Candy's face then, "didn't you hear Dipper?" She asked, trying to sound innocent and worried as possible.
"No, what?"
"Well, you see, she has had some pretty problematic relationships with guys before, and her dad gets... a bit over protective of her. But I shouldn't say more, it's not my business what goes on with you two," she said, finally ending with, "but my advice? Stay away from her. There are plenty of other fish in the sea you know."
She finally left then and Dipper wondered what she had been trying to say with all that. Problematic relationships? Everyone has those at one time or another. Her dad being protective? Isn't that a good thing? Just then Pacifica walked over to him.
"Candy getting all flirty with you again?" She asked.
"Ah, no, just stopped to talk for a minute," he replied, rubbing the back this neck, seeming pretty nervous to Pacifica.
"Hey, you okay Dipper?" She asked him, putting a hand on his back.

"Yeah, I'm fine, I'm just going to head home today okay? I'm not feeling to great and need to finish up some, uh, studying."
"Okay...." she said. "Let me know if you need anything."
"Yeah, I'll see you later."
"See you later."
Later that afternoon Dipper was laying on his bed, questioning if what Candy said had been true or not. On his way out of the school he had heard lots of whispers about Pacifica. He couldn't decide what to do about it at first but after what seemed like hours of laying in bed trying to figure it out he decided he should go straight to Pacfica for answers. So, he texted her to meet him and the park in half an hour to talk. He soon got a text back saying she would be there, and he headed out the door.
Pacifica sat on the park bench, waiting for Dipper when she saw the Pines' golf cart drive up to the entrance. She sat patiently for him to walk over to her. He finally got to her and sat down.
"I was talking to Candy today," He said.
"Mhm."
"She said that it would be bad idea to get into a relationship with because your dad gets protective, and from what I know about him I can only imagine what she meant by that...." he told her. "She also said something about problematic relationships with you and I don't know, I just felt like I should come to you for answers."
Pacifica let out a light laugh, "Dipper I've never even been on a date. And yes, my dad is protective when it comes to relationships but nothing more than any other dad would be."
"Why would Candy say those things than?" He asked.
"I was wrong Dipper, you're pretty darn oblivious." She said with a small smile.
"Okay, seriously this is getting annoying. What do you mean by that?"
She smiled, "Dipper, I like you, like I have a crush on you. Candy saw that and thought that you might like me back, that's why she was flirting with you and why she said those things about me. That's what I mean about you being oblivious."
Dipper sat there, having heard everything she said but focusing on the first part the most. Pacifica Northwest had a crush... on him. He stared at her smiling.
"Really?" He asked her.
She blushed brightly and rubbed the back of her neck and looked down, "uh yeah, I do.... anyways, why exactly were you talking to Candy about a relationship with me exactly?"
Then Dipper smiled at her and wrapped her in a hug, "It's the same for me."
She pulled away and looked at him, "I guess we have Candy to thank for this huh? She's gonna hate this."
"Mhm, but it's her own doing, she'll just have to deal with it," he kissed her nose and stood up, reaching his hand out for hers.
She took his hand and stood up with him.
"So, what now?" She asked.
"Well... I dunno, you want to go get some ice cream or something?" He smiled at her.
"That sounds fantastic." She smiled back.
With that, they left the park to get ice cream, leaving a spying, annoyed, Candy behind. Candy climbed down from the tree she was in and glared at Pacifica's back, "I'll get you back Northwest..."
