Yvette curled her toes in the sand and smiled looking down as she kept on moving her feet liking the coldness of the mushy sand that had been wet by the salt water.Yvette rinsed her feet a little and walked back up to the beach where she saw Levi sitting down in a beach chair , under the umbrella shade.Yvette felt as though she hadn't got recently since the incident and she could guess that maybe Levi didn't get out much either, so her suggest for the beach get perfect for her.

"Are you not hot?" Yvette questioned Levi who was still in a suite.Yvette was already home so she was able to change in beach attired and Yvette offered for Levi to go to his house and then pick her back up but he declined and said he was just fine.Levi jacket was now off and his white shirt was a little unbuttoned as he sat up straight with his fingers intertwined just staring.

"No." Yvette chuckled sitting down in front of him as Levi noticed her chest area a little close to his face as he quickly backed his face away and leaned back averting his eyes to Yvette eyes.

"Are you you aren't burning up? And catching a heat stroke or something? Your face is getting red."

"I assure you, I'm perfectly fine." Levi grumbled looking off to the side making Yvette laugh, Levi presence was not scary to her anymore but just weird.

"You always look so bored, I don't think Im doing my job correctly, and that means this date is unsuccessful." Levi only stared at her as Yvette stood up.

"Come, we are going down by the water." Levi stood up as both of started to walk by the water as Levi stuck his hands in his pockets.

"I may not look like it, but I enjoy this. You don't annoy me so you are pleasant to be around."

"You don't have to go around what you wanna say you know that? If you enjoy my company just say, I enjoy your company" Levi slightly rolled his eyes making Yvette push him a little as they got by the water and Yvette squealed at the cold water touching her feet again and Levi only plainly stared at it.

"Carson hates the beach." Levi informed.

"Really? I wouldn't have thought he did, why?" A smirk formed on Levi face.

"I once gave him a sand burial and he never recovered, he had sand everywhere for like a month."

"You are horrible! I use to hate getting buried in the damn sand at the orphanage.I was always a bigger kid and it felt like they was building a damn mountain at that point." Yvette said as Levi only shook his head and couldn't but let out a small laugh.

"Am I tripping or are those pearly white teeth laughing at a joke?"

"It was a yawn."

"You are a bad and good liar, when it comes to certain things.Just admit that I, Yvette the great made you Levi the frowner, laugh." Levi only smiled staring at Yvette as she started to run all the way in the water and he could only smile.

Levi didn't know what it was about her specifically but he felt so comfortable and relaxed. It was not necessarily hard for him to smile, he just usually never had anything great enough happen to him where he wanted to smile.Being with her gave him such a familiar feeling,a familiar feeling of happiness.

Levi for a long time never understood if he was happy or not, all he felt was content. This was his life and he had to live it but since he met Yvette? It was like unlocking feelings he never knew he had and becoming someone he never knew he could be.Who was Yvette exactly? And why did he feel this with her in so little time?

He was curious.

Levi heart and head started to pound at the same time as he rubbed his temple, blinking a bit as he looked up at Yvette who's smile had faded and her feet were together with her hand in front of her.Her light and happy facial expression, turned to an almost gloomy one.

"Do you feel light headed again?" Levi asked walking towards her as Yvette looked up at him and shook her head.

"No."

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing.Let's go sit back on the beach chairs." Is all Yvette said as Levi squinted his eyes at the group of women behind Yvette. They were laughing and taking pictures of them causing Levi to frown.

"It's fine. They are saying and doing things I've heard my entire life.I use to go back and forth a lot but as you get older, you really can't dwell on what others has to-"

Levi didn't allow Yvette to finish her sentence as Levi walked over to where the women were giggling and snapping pictures as all of them smiled at him. They were trying to understand why a man as fine as him, was with a women like that..It had to be a joke.

"Is there a reason you are taking pictures of us without permission?"

"Who said we were?"

"Do I look like an idiot? Do you know us from somewhere?"

"No.It's just we find it odd that someone like you, is with someone like her." Levi sucked his teeth looking them up and down.

"Excuse me? And what? You think I would be with any one of you?"

"You don't have to be rude! We were just saying!"

"Delete the pictures."

"What pictures?"

"Don't make me ask again."

"We don't have any pictures!" The one who he knew for a fact took a picture, Levi held a blank face rolling up his sleeves a little more.

"I have a gun, I will come back and shoot each and every one of you in the head if you don't do as I say.Are we clear?" The women frantically took out their phones showing him that they delete the pictures.

"What a fucking nut job." One of them said as Levi walked away.

"Did you think he really had a gun?"

"No! He had to be bluffing!"

Levi walked back to Yvette who only smiled.

"Thanks."

"I didn't do anything, I don't like people snapping pictures of me."

"Sure." Yvette dragged out before chilling to herself as they walked back to the beach chairs and sat down.Yvette placed her hands in her lap and stared at Levi.

"Is there anything you want to ask me?"

"Like what?" Levi responded.

"Anything."

"So your birthday was a day before the situation happened?"

"Yes."

"And that women Porsche isn't your real sister but someone you grew up with?" Yvette nodded.

"Did your parents pass away?" Yvette shrugged.

"I assume they did because I do not remember having any.I came to the orphanage where I met Porsche when I was ten years old and they had told me that had memory loss probably due from an accident or trauma.I have been told by doctors and even therapist that my light headedness and anxiety and even me passing out is from my trauma that i can't remember.I use to go crazy not being able to remember ten whole years of my life."

"It got to the point where I stopped searching for answers and continued my life..I hate when this happens to me because then It reminds me of what I don't know." Yvette sighed.

"I just dumped this all on you and you didn't ask.I am sorry." Yvette mumbled lowering her head.

"It's fine, I want to hear more."

"Are you sure?"

"If I wasn't, I would not have asked.Go ahead." Levi stated sitting up.

"I tried therapist and even tried to get hypnotize and nothing worked.I guess I didn't have anyone from my past to help me unlock even a tiny memory.I don't know who I was or where I even came from. Not anything about who raised me and why they decided to give me up at that age.Sometimes I feel like a piece of myself is missing and so I make up for it by being a good person and learning to let things go."

"Would you ever try to get those memories back one day?"

"If I found somebody who knew me back then? Then maybe..would ask about your childhood." Yvette trailer off as Levi shook his head.

"I don't talk about my childhood, I blocked it out a long time ago.Nothing good ever happened when I was a child.I only remember being as unhappy then as I was now. What made it better was my father marrying Francesca and having Carson."

"Was your father always like that?"

"Worse..Much worse."

"Do you wanna talk about it?"

"No." Levi said plainly and Yvette took that answer not wanting to pry.

Yvette continued staring at Levi, why did she feel so content being in his presence? After all what happened, all he did and all she saw she thought she would be anxious or feel unsafe but she felt the exact opposite. She felt as comfortable and relaxed as she felt with Porsche who she knew her whole life.Yvette was the sweetest person people could come across but she didn't trust anyone always feeling unsafe and always fearing she would pass out at the wrong time.

Yvette always wasn't a fool.Ever time she was near Levi or his family or even thinking about them too hard and trying to rack her brain around everything ..she would feel light headed or pass out.

She was curious onto why.

And curious onto what made her and Levi cross paths? Why did it seem like Lexington knew something they didn't but Yvette knew she could overthink and didn't want to open up a can of worms. Her life had always been complicated and at sudden times where she was suppose to be happy, she felt empty. She didn't think a random man would fill that..or had anything to do with her or her past.

I am just overthinking , she thought.

"Are you ready to go?" Levi questioned.

"Yes.Did you enjoy it here?"

"Did you?"

"Yes, It's been awhile since I been to the beach."

"Then I did as well, It's been a while for me to."

Yvette and Levi both stood up as they walked towards the boardwalk that would lead them off the beach. As they both walked in comfortable silence all the way until they got to the car.

The car ride back to Yvette house was also silent but it never reached anything awkward.Yvette was wondering was it okay to share that much but she had to let herself tell somebody and maybe a man like Levi was perfect, he didn't have too much thoughts and didn't judge or make her feel crazy or out of place which she felt in her previous relationships.Sometimes Yvette felt as though she built her own interpretations of people completely different from who they actually are but in a way..

She felt by Levi response and facial expressions he knew exactly how she felt, and understood exactly what she meant.

"Drive home safe." Yvette told him as she waved and Levi nodded.

"Will do."

Levi waiter until she reached inside the house and quickly pulled out of her drive way as he took out his phone and called Carson putting him on speaker while he drove.

"Did you pick up everything?"

"Yes."

"Ok.I'll be on my way in a little while, meet me at my house."

"Ok, do you visit Yvette?"

"Yes." Carson laughed shocker that he actually took his advice.

"What happened?"

"Nothing you need to know, focus on the topic."

"We do this almost every six months, this is a new topic! If you don't tell me then I'll just ask Yvette."

"We'll ask her, I have nothing to tell.It isn't a time to be relaxed, we are going after a family."

"The family hasn't been that big, dad said they got smaller and weaker long before I was even bored. To stay afloat and try to come up in the ranks they rely on drug producing and moving. We are a little better and more intelligent then that."

"It doesn't matter. This is why you make mistakes but undermining everything and everyone. We can get found and killed just the same. You don't know who they are allied with." Carson sighed.

"Fine but isn't burning everything after we are done a little excessive?"

"We don't get paid to ask questions, we do the job as asked.Nothing more , and nothing less."

"Fine, whatever you say.See you when you get here."

"Ok." The phone hung up as Levi sighed shaking his head.Everything needed to run smoothly, the last thing he wanted was another situation like Tony and Yvette. He had to get in and get out.

Nothing more, and nothing less.

Although he dismissed what Carson said, he to was wondering why so much for a small family of drug dealers? It didn't make much sense and his father agreeing? Didn't make much sense either.

But it's not like he could go outright and question his father, his father hated and despised a lot of things especially asking questions.

He just had to do what he always did.

Follow orders.

Where have I been? Stressed and Depressed

But get into the HINTS! I left 🧐
