"Who's coming?"

Christian ran a hand over his face before throwing his hands in the air.

"Who's not coming?!"

I tilted my head in confusion.

"Okay, you need to take a deep breath and explain what the hell is going on."

"Witches, Vampires, and Werewolves, they are all coming. I don't know how, but rumors about Vanessa being a hybrid is spreading like wildfire. Whether they're a threat or not I don't know."

I clenched my jaw.

"How many?"

"Thousands."

"We need to prepare. Wake Alexander and Arianna."

"What's so important that you have to wake Kayden's parents?"

I heard my little girl ask and turned around.

"Baby, why don't you go back to sleep."

"No. Vampire and Werewolf hearing, here," Vanessa said pointing to herself.

"If you want to keep stuff from me you're going to have to try harder than that."

I was about to respond when I was interrupted.

"What are you guys doing up there?" Arianna called out.

"Perfect timing," Rebecca said

Alexander raised an eyebrow. "Mind filling us in?"

"Took the words right out of my mouth," Dylan said, Kellan right behind him.

Knowing how stubborn the kids were I sighed.

"Let's take this downstairs."

Once everyone was seated Vanessa wasted no time shooting off questions.

"Who exactly is coming?"

I looked at Chris and he cleared his throat.

"Vampires, Werewolves, and Witches."

"How many?"

"Thousands."

"Do they pose a threat?"

"I don't know."

Vanessa took a deep breath.

"Then we need to keep our mind and bodies sharp. Until then, got to work, school, live normally."

She couldn't be serious.

"You're not going to school."

"Why?"

"What do you mean, why? I almost lost you! We almost lost you! You heard Chris, He said thousands. What if one of them corners you?"

"I'll be fine. The guys will be with me."

Why couldn't she see what a bad idea this was? Anger rose within me. I would not lose my daughter.

"And they were with you the day you died!"

I felt bad when I saw the boys flinch and look down.

"I refuse to live in hiding! Why should my life have to stop?!"

My gaze softened. Hybrid or not, she was still just my little girl.

"I know it's not fair, but-"

"Could I interrupt for a bit?" Ava said cutting me off.

I motioned for her to continue.

"I think we all know that the boys royally fucked up, and I do mean royally."

I smirked as the boys glared at her.

"But they won't be the only ones with her. We all love her as much as they do and we'll protect her in any way we can."

I sighed. "Fine. I won't keep you, hostage, here, but I want someone with my baby girl at all times. Do you understand."

Vanessa rolled her eyes and smiled as everyone nodded in unison.

"Chris, let me see you for a bit." he nodded and followed me into the kitchen.

"I think we need to take some safety measures."
