Later that night Dylan and Kayden called their parents over to explain the situation to them. I was glad that I was finally getting to meet them, although the circumstances weren't the best. Both families promised to help in any way possible. I was happy that everyone seemed to approve of me. Kayden's mom told me to start out slow and gave me a couple of blood bags to keep my hunger under control.

The next day I woke up to Kai's chanting.

"Woohoo! I'm the man!"

I slid out of bed and found Kai dancing in the middle of the living room. I raised my eyebrow in question.

"Is everything okay?"

"I found a spell that can help us figure out who ran you over!"

A minute or two later everyone else filed into the room.

"Man, why are you so loud?" Mason grumbled

"He said he found a spell that can help us find out who did this" I said turning towards him,

Everyone seemed to perk up at this.

"That's great!" Ava said and I turned back to Kai.

"What do I need to do?"

Kai shook his head. "Just take a seat."

I took a seat on the couch and watched as Kai placed his hand on my forehead.

"."

Our world seemed to ripple as we were thrown into another plane. We both landed with hard thumps.

"Tch. that hurt more than I thought it would." Kai said rubbing his back.

It was as if someone had pressed rewind and play. I watched Kayden and Dylan bantering, me trying to calm them down, seeing how that had little to no effect, as they snapped at me. I watched myself walk to the other side of the rode.

Kai nudged me and we followed. Once we were in position, we faced the direction that the truck was coming from.

"When the truck comes don't move."

"What?" I asked. I wasn't really into getting ran over for a second time.

"It can't hurt us, don't worry."

I nodded and the truck finally came into view, steadily increasing its speed. Just as I thought the truck was going to hit us, Kai snapped his fingers. Everything thing stopped. I breathed on a sigh of relief.

"Well, isn't that a nifty trick."

Kai smiled at me as we made our way to the truck. My eyes widened at what I saw.

"That fucking bitch! I knew she hated me but I didn't think the fucker would try to kill me!"

"So Zion really is with Astrazia." Kai confirmed.

"I'm not too surprised with him, though. His aura is something wicked."

I let out a low curse. I was going to kill her!

"Ready to go back or do you want to listen to their conversation?" Kai asked

"Nah. This is enough."

When I opened my eyes everyone was crowding around Kai and me.

"Did it work?"

"Well, I know who I'm going to kill first."
