The next couple of weeks went by like a blur. School was boring as usual, and everyone was preparing for exams. I didn't really do much this weekend besides hanging out with Kai and our family, and I was really starting to dread Monday. Early Monday morning Leila's ringtone woke me up.

"Hey babe, what's up?"

"The schools closed!"

"Really? For what?"

"Apparently, they found a faulty design in the building. It's a crazy safety hazard."

"Wait, aren't they just going to move us to another building like they did in middle school?"

"Nope, the high school has way more students than the middle school. We're the biggest school in town, so none of the other schools are going to be able to hold us."

"Nice. Do you know how long we'll be out?"

"I'm not sure. Know one knows if they actually have to take the entire building down or if it is something that can be easily fixed. I do know that they don't want it to be any longer than a month, but until then our assignments are going to be sent to us via email. I feel like a month isn't a reasonable estimation. Stuff like that takes time, right?"

"I would think so."

"And..." Leila dragged out.

"What do you have planned?"

"I think we should go to Kayden's family lake house. They just brought it so everything's new."

"Leila, you have to actually talk to them before you start making plans."

"I already did. He told me to run it by you, you know since you're his girlfriend and all."

"Shut up."

Leila giggled, and I shook my head. This girl was too much.

"Well, then It looks like we're going on a trip!"

Packing for the trip was a breeze, even though Leila tried to pack her entire closet. I was pretty excited about this trip. It had been a while since I got away and it would be nice to chill with everybody. Leila and I went to various stores and made sure that we had everything we might need. We wanted to make sure we were well prepared in case anything happened.

"So who's going with who?" I asked Dylan

"You, Kai and Kayden are with me."

"Sadie's taking Ava, Noah, Leila, and Tony."

"And Chloe's got Levi, Avery, Rafe, Mason, and Sage."

"How long will it take?"

"No more than 5 hours."

"I'll take the lead, and the rest of you can follow." Sadie offered

"Okay, then we're ready to go!" Sadie cheered.
