《Twice Bitten ✔》Chapter 49

I didn't realize that we were singing as loudly as we were, but we now had an audience. Groups of teenagers smiled and clapped as we passed by. We laughed as we finished the song and people shouted for encores. I giggled as Kai dragged me into Hottopic. We spent nearly two hours with Kai handing me different outfits. Once we both had several outfits, we decided to head to the food court.

"What do you want, baby girl?"

I thought about it before deciding I wasn't all that hungry.

"How about we get some water ice?"

"Mmmh, that sounds good."

"Hello, how can I help you?" The cashier asked.

I winked when I notice him looking me up and down.

"I would like a Swedish fish water ice."

"Do you really need anything sweet?"

I raised my eyebrow, "And why wouldn't I?"

"Because you look sweet enough to eat already." He smirked

I glanced at his name tag and saw that his name was Tyler. Well, he's certainly amusing.

Kai coughed and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"It'd be smart not to flirt with my baby sister," Kai said, oozing intimidation.

"By the way, I want a mango water ice."

Tyler immediately backed off after sending me a sly smirk. I grabbed our orders and found a table nearby. Kai pouted at me as I shoveled some of my water ice.

"What?"

"I want some."

"Only if I can have some of yours."

Kai nodded, and I fed him some and vice versa. This went on for a while before he excused himself to the bathroom. A few minutes later, Tyler sat down in Kai's seat.

"Shouldn't you be working?"

"I'm on break."

"So, do you guys wear contacts or something?"

I laughed and shook my head "No it's our natural eye colors."

"That so cool."

"I guess."

"I have a proposition for you," Tyler said, leaning towards me.

"Oh really?"

Tyler nodded.

"And that is?"

"How about the three of us have a threesome?"

"Excuse me?"

I've never met such a forward person in my life. I was almost impressed.

"Well, you guys are both hot. Give it some thought, then call me," Tyler said walking away after slipping me a piece of paper

Can someone please tell me what the hell just happened?! Kai came back and noticed the paper in my hand.

"What's that?"

"Tyler's phone number."

"Who's that?" Kai's asked questioningly

I rolled my eyes. "The cashier."

"Ooooh, so he wants to hook up with you."

I laughed. "More like he wanted to hook up with us."

Kai roared in laughter.

"He- he wanted a threesome?!"

I giggled and shook my head

"So, are we going to call him" Kai teased, wiggling his eyebrows.

I snorted. "Definitely not. I have enough boy drama to last a lifetime."

"True that!"

The next day at school Kai and I were cornered by Leila, Dylan, and Kayden.

"Where the hell were you yesterday!"

"Chill I was at home," I said reassuring her

"And at the mall," Kai added and I nodded.

Leila glared at me. "Did you forget how to send a text. I was worried!"

"Sorry, I honestly didn't think about it."

Leila made a frustrated noise. "I have to go get extra credit from Ms. Rosita, but we will have a conversation later."

I nodded and rubbed my temples.

"So, you were with him all day yesterday?!" Dylan asked

Kai smirked, "From the time she woke up, to the time she went to sleep."

"You're really pressing your luck, huh?" Kayden snapped.

"Look, we'll talk later," I said addressing Dylan and Kayden.

I didn't need them fighting right now. I guess it was time to tell them I forgave them and that Kai was like a brother to me.

Once school ended Kai met me at my locker. Kai sighed and wrapped his arms around my waist. I shoved my binder into my locker and looked up at him.

"It's been a long day, huh?"

Kai nodded and laid his chin on my shoulder.

"Humans are exhausting."

I chuckled and slammed my locker shut.

"It'll get better once everything settles down."

Kayden leaned against the locker next to mine and glared at Kai.

"You're becoming a real eyesore, you know?"

Dylan came up behind him but Kai didn't give him a chance to speak. Kai gave them a toothy grin and leaned towards them.

"Tough shit. I'm not going anywhere so you might as well get used to it. Me meeting Vanessa wasn't a coincidence our lives were entwined from the start. If I were you I'd find a way to place nicely before things get messy."

I was happy to hear that Kai felt the same way I did but the guys, however, were not. If looks could kill Kai would be dead by now.

"You guys need to calm down. You're misunderstanding everything anyway. Although I guess Kai didn't make things any easier." I Kai a pointed glance.

Kai smiled and shrugged without remorse.

"I told you guys that I would talk to you later and I was serious about that."

They both looked like they had more to say but nodded before walking away. As they walked away Leila came up to us I touched Kai's arm.

" I'll see you later, okay?"

Kai nodded, "I'll see you later, love."

Leila and I drove home in silence when we were finally in the comfort of my room Leila didn't waste any time questioning me.

"What the hell is going on?! This whole week you've been acting strange! You haven't told me anything! Like why you avoided Dylan and Kayden the other day or where the hell you met Kai. You show up to school with him, and you guys are fucking inseparable! And then yesterday I was so damned worried about you!" Leila drew out a ragged breath, and I brought her into a hug.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you. A lot has been going on. I'll try to explain everything to you."

I sighed. I guess it's time to tell Leila that I was a witch. She was my best friend, and it was hard keeping things from her. I just hope my dad wouldn't be pissed at me.
