Today we had a huge game against Westbrook's Falcons, and I was really excited to see Dylan and his brothers play. They had a family football ritual that they did before every game, so Dylan was going to leave straight after school. While he did that, I figured Kayden, and I could spend some time together and then we could all come back to my house for dinner. Around lunchtime, the boys found me, and we walked to the cafeteria together. I decided that now was as good as ever to invite them over.

"Hey, would you guys want to come over for dinner later?" I asked

They both paused before turning to give each other a high-five.

"What time?" Kayden asked.

"Well, we have a football game later that Dylan's gotta prep for, so I figured after we win we could celebrate and just eat dinner after the game. Sound good?"

"What makes you so sure we'll win," Kayden questioned.

I scoffed, "The Jaguars haven't lost a single game since Dylan, and his brothers joined the team."

Dylan grinned smugly before slinging his arm around my shoulders. I giggled and dragged them both towards the café. Oooh! They have baked mac and cheese today! I grabbed a tray of cheesy goodness and snatched up a peach mango Arizona. After lunch, I told Dylan I'd meet him in the gym and headed to the girl's locker room when a hand grabbed mine. I swiveled around to see it was Emmett. I raised my eyebrow.

"Is there a reason you're touching me?"

Emmett sighed. "Do you think we can talk for a moment?"

Now I was upset. We've had so many chances to talk, and he always fucked it up by bringing up sex or Dylan. Why is it that when I'm finally content with not having him in my life, he's fucking ready to talk to me.

"What the hell could you possibly have to say to me?!"

Emmett sighed again, "Please?"

I blew out a breath and nodded my head. I guess I can be a big girl and at least listen to what he has to say.

"Make it fast," I said following him to the quad.
