《Twice Bitten ✔》Chapter 28

The next morning I bounced awake. I was so excited! A witch! I was a witch! It all seemed so crazy. As soon as I was fully clothed, I raced downstairs and into the kitchen.

"Wow! Slow down, hun." My mom said setting the table

"I know, I know, but you can't be told you're a witch and not get excited," I said taking a seat

"I know. I was excited to learn everything about magic when your father first told me." Mom smiled fondly at the memory.

"Speaking of, how did you take that?" I asked

"What? You mean your father telling me he's a witch?" I nodded my head

"Well, naturally I laughed in his face. I thought he was crazy! I called him a basket case and went on a full-blown rant about how I always get fixed up with some weirdo." My mom giggled.

"Seriously?" I chuckled. Now that, I would've paid to see.

"So what made you believe?" I asked, playing with one of the napkins my mom had set out.

"Your dad levitated all the water from my cup and flicked it at the waiter when he wouldn't stop ogling me." We busted into laughter

"That's epic!"

My mom nodded and smiled, "Yeah, I thought so too."

Just then, my dad walked into the kitchen.

"Are you guys talking about me? I just sneezed like five times." My dad said looking between my mom and me

"Yup, we were talking about how weird I thought you were." Mom giggled

My dad raised his eyebrow. "Oh yeah?"

Dad bent down to kiss mom, "Well, that means you fell in love with a weirdo." My dad said deepening the kiss

"Gross! In case you forgot I'm sitting right here!" Watching your parent's lip-lock in the morning, so not cool.

Mom gave me a knowing look "We did forget, and it's not like you aren't doing the same with Dylan."

"Well, excuse me!"

My cheeks flushed in embarrassment. I told my mom everything, so she already knew about the breakup, as well as my developing feelings for Dylan. My dad, on the other hand, was another story.

"Who's Dylan?" My dad asked as my mom started putting the food on the plates.

"A friend of mine," I said nonchalantly

"That blush says otherwise." My dad said grinning mischievously

I groaned. Nothing good could come from that smile.

"So, you don't mind if I meet this friend," Dad smirked

"Dad!" I groaned

"Aiden, stop teasing your daughter and eat." Dad chuckled and dug in.

Once we finished eating my dad and I thanked my mom for the meal.

"Are you ready to train?" Dad asked

"Was born ready," I said following him to the yard

"Have fun!" my mom called out to us.
