《Twice Bitten ✔》Chapter 10

Guilt and shame rolled off me in waves. Last night with Vanessa was honestly amazing. I should have just waited. I should have never touched Bianca. It wasn't even worth it. I had to end things with Bianca. The following week Vanessa's predictions were spot on. We really couldn't keep our hands off of each other. She was so fucking beautiful and she had no issue with teasing me senselessly.
When Friday came around Bianca cornered me after Gym.
"I've missed you," she said trailing a finger down my chest.
"I almost thought that you were avoiding me."
"That's because I am."
Bianca chuckled and rolled her eyes.
"Stop playing."
I instantly put my hand over her mouth as she leaned towards me.
"I'm serious. We're done."
Bianca laughed in disbelief and took a step back.
"Why?"
"You're kidding, right? I'm done because I have a beautiful girlfriend that I love. I'm done because touching you was a mistake."
Bianca narrowed her eyes at me. "A mistake?... She finally gave out didn't she?"
Bianca let out a humorless laugh. " So she finally lets you smash and all of a sudden I'm trash, huh?"
I shook my head. " No, Bianca. You were always trash. If you hadn't have sunk your claws into me you would have found some other fuckboy to entrap."
Bianca gave me a smug smile.
"You can pretend to be a good little boyfriend but I can guarantee I'll be back in your bed in no time. Let's see just how "done" you really are with me."
I shook my head and walked past her. The sad thing was that I was actually scared that she might be right. Bianca had this weird way of drawing me in and I wasn't exactly known for have strong willpower. When I got to the cafeteria I saw Vanessa with Michael and Trevor. I kissed Vanessa on the cheek and sat down.
"What took you so long?"
I smiled and shook my head. "I had to stay back and put up all of the equipment."
Vanessa planted a kiss on my cheek. I pulled her close and kissed her fiercely.

"What was that for?"
I shrugged. "You just look beautiful."
"I mean, it's not like we're still here or anything." Trevor rolled his eyes.
Vanessa giggled. "Sorry, Trev."
"Want to go on a date tomorrow?"
"I would love to!" Michael and Trevor replied in unison.
I glared at them while Vanessa chuckled. They both shrugged and went back to their food.
Vanessa turned toward me and kissed my cheek.
"I would love to go on a date with you. Where are we going?"
"Not telling."
"I- what do you mean?"
"I meant what I said. I'm not telling you."
I laugh as Nessa huffs.
"Have I ever taken you on a bad date?"
"Yes."
I felt my face heat as the boys snorted.
"When?!"
"How about the time you tried to take me on a picnic, didn't think to check the weather, and we got in a severe thunderstorm? Not only did we get soaked but so did our food. You had the nastiest cold after and ended up giving it to me. I was out for a week."
I smiled sheepishly as I recalled the memory.
"Okay, that was pretty bad, but that was definitely the only bad date we've had."
Vanessa shrugged. "I don't know I guess we'll just have to see what happens tomorrow."
I narrowed my eyes at her. Fine, we'll just have to recreate that date then.
"Just wait until tomorrow. It'll be our best date yet."
Vanessa smiled and pulled me closer to her.
"Then I look forward to it."
I closed the distance between us and kissed her softly.
The next day when school ended I rushed to the stage so that I could prep for our date. I got Vanessa's favorite sandwich, calypsos, and a family-sized bag of hot Cheetos. I even got a min platter of mini assorted cheesecake. All that was left was to pick up the waterproof picnic basket and a candle. On my way out my eyes caught sight of an umbrella. I paused and scratched the back of my head. Maybe I should check the weather one more time. I whip out my phone and smiled. It should be clear skies for the rest of the day. I made a quick stop to my house to change and quickly packed the basket.

When I got to Vanessa's house I jogged up to her door and rung the doorbell. I bit my lip when she opened the door. She looked stunning.
"You look beautiful, baby."
Vanessa smiled and leaned up to kiss me.
"Thank you."
The whole way to the park I expected Vanessa to question me but she never did.
"What's up with you?"
"What do you mean?"
"You haven't asked me where we were going yet."
"You said you weren't going to tell me."
I snorted. "When has that ever stopped you before?"
Nessa smiled and shrugged.
When we arrived at the park I saw the shock on Nessa's face.
"The park?"
"Yupp."
I smirked and grabbed the basket from the back.
"We're recreating our picnic date."
Vanessa let out a giggle that melted my heart.
I leaned into the car to kiss her before coming around the car to get her. I held her hand tightly as I lead her to the area I picked out. There was this beautiful angel oak tree that sat on a slight hill. I figured it would give us a pretty romantic scenery plus a good look at the sunset. When we arrived at the tree I turned to Nessa.
"How is it?"
"It's beautiful!"
I smiled and began unloading the basket.
"Let me help you."
I shook my head "Nope. I got it."
I laid out the blanket food and finally the candle. I lit the candle and turned towards Nessa.
" How'd I do?"
She sat down delicately and looked up at me.
"Hmm...It depends on what you have for drinks."
I let out a breathy laugh before sitting down and pulling out her favorite Calypso. Nessa beamed at me and grabbed the bottle.
"I'd say this is worthy of a 10/10."
"Yeah?"
Nessa nodded her head and reached for her sandwich. She squealed when she unwrapped it.
"Garlic and herb tofu! Thank you."
I chuckled as she happily took a bite out of her sandwich. We spent the rest of the evening talking and laughing. This was a feeling I wanted to protect. A feeling that I couldn't believe that put at risk.
"I love you."
I moved the candle out of my way and brought Vanessa in for a kiss. Vanessa smiled into the kiss.
"I love you too."
As we deepened the kiss I got lost in her scent and touch. I caressed her cheek as we broke apart for air.
"So was this an improvement then?"
"Definitely."
Nessa brought me in for another kiss and I gladly returned it. I flinched as something cold hit the top of my head.
"You okay?"
"Yeah, it just felt like-"
I was hit with another cold drop.
"Fucking hell! Are you kidding me?"
Before I even finished my sentence the rain had already begun. I stared at Vanessa wide-eyed before she burst into laughter.
"At least we finished our food this time, huh?"
I laughed and shook my head.
"Look, I promise I checked the weather right before coming to get you! We were supposed to have clear skies!"
Nessa grasped my chin and kissed me.
"Despite the fact that I'm soaked to the bone and we'll probably catch nasty colds after this, I still think this was an improvement. Thank you."
"I love you."
I kissed her hungrily. I bit and licked wherever I could. I wanted to sear my touch into her skin and meld her into mine.
Vanessa let out a soft moan and I felt myself harden. Nessa broke from our embrace and giggled.
"I don't know what's gotten into you, but do you think we could continue it somewhere dry?"
I chuckled and swallowed the lump in my throat. Guilt. Overwhelming guilt is what got into me. Whenever I think about how I could lose this feeling, her warmth, the way her smile makes the world sparkle, it makes me sick to my stomach. I forced a smile.
"I'm definitely not going to say no to continuing this back at my place."
We hurriedly gathered our stuff and ran to the car. I had planned on making love to Vanessa tonight and erasing any and all traces of Bianca.
