Italics - Louis Tomlinson

"Are you sure?"

"Are you really?" 

"Really?"

Louis laughed and pinched Harry's cheek admiringly. 

"But vanilla is your favourite. You can't just get a mint chocolate chip out of blue just because you see couples eating out from the same cone."

Harry whined pointing towards a happy looking Liam and Veronica who were eating the same cone.

Louis smiled as Harry grumbled more and he put his tiny arms around Harry's neck, making Harry lean down towards him a little, "Eating from the same cone or wearing matching clothes cannot define how we really feel about each other. It's all there in the heart. You just have to know."

Harry's heart fluttered a little at what Louis said. It was amazing how Louis was capable of making him feel even the littlest of the things. It was new for him but he loved it nonetheless. Harry loved every single little thing Louis made him feel.

Harry rested his forehead against Louis' and smiled his charming smile, he grinned pulling back and ordering two ice creams for two of them.

Harry asked, looking at Liam and Veronica who were literally almost on top of each other in public.

"We were the ones whom they brought along, you idiot", Louis rolled his eyes, a faint smile tugging his lips.

, Harry defended himself.

Louis laughed and Harry just stared at him. He couldn't believe someone could be so perfect. He knew Louis was from perfect, flawed with his own imperfections but right now, in front of him, was a guy who laughed away his worries, looking nothing but perfect. And he was more than amazed that the blue-eyed lad was his and his alone.

Harry found himself asking.

"And go where?"

Louis looked more thrilled at the idea. It almost made Harry laugh.

They walked aimlessly holding their hands, leaving a kissing couple behind. For today's date, they were in a park. Because it was a weekend, there were a lot of people who had come for a stroll, or picnic, or to do their own things. Louis stopped once in a while to greet little kids or elders. He was beaming with joy and Harry realized maybe Louis loved more socializing much more than he gave himself credit for. He realized Louis was someone who anyone could get along with if they really wanted to get to know him. Louis is a beautiful person, maybe a little sassy, but that made him more lovable. Harry shuddered at the thought of how much he loved Louis. It was too overwhelming.

"I wish I had a younger sister", Louis sighed after waving goodbye to a cute five-year-old girl who ran to her mother with a big smile and her pigtails swaying with the wind. Louis and she had a cute and short bonding session.

"That would actually be nice", Louis grinned.

Harry couldn't hold in any longer so he waited for Louis to walk forward towards the huge fountain after which he held him from behind, bringing Louis close to his chest.

"What are you doing?" Louis blushed but his voice was calm and loving.

, Harry confessed making Louis' heart beat faster as always. He couldn't understand how Harry was so straightforward but it was also one of his attitudes that Louis liked about him.

"Oh really?" Louis decided to tease him and squirmed in his hold until he was facing Harry. "Come to think of it, you didn't kiss me today either. You sure you only want to hold me?" Louis smirked and bit his lips suggestively.

Harry gulped and stared down at Louis' soft rosy lips. The first time they kissed was still imprinted in his mind. It was in front of Louis' house, so cliché, the night he took Louis to his special place and then dropped him home. It was a starry night and the moon was shining in all its beautiful and dazzling glory. The moonlight softly grazing on his face gave him an unreal glow, pulling Harry into his beauty.

He remembered asking Louis if he could kiss him. And he remembered how Louis turned a little bit darker because of his blush. It was the most beautiful thing ever. When their lips touched, Harry was waiting for the sparks and fireworks erupt like they said it would in books and movies. But it didn't come. Instead, he felt a warmth inside him. His whole body lit up in some burning passion, his heart almost breaking free from his cage, a painful, fluttery feeling at the pit of his stomach but he didn't want to let those feelings go. Louis' lips were more than Harry always imagined them to be. They were soft, like a China dish, and he remembered being afraid that he would break. Their first kiss was gentle like the summer breeze and the spring rain.

And Harry would never forget about it.

They kissed a lot more when they met n the later days and he remembers all of them. He even (tried to) counted them because every kiss with Louis always felt right and good and nice. And best. He couldn't get enough of them.

"You don't want to kiss me?" Louis asked when there was no response from Harry.

Harry broke out of his trance and looked at his boyfriend. He was sporting a puppy dog look and his lips looked so kissable than ever.

"You don't love me?" Louis continued teasing but this scared Harry.

Harry almost said in desperation. He didn't want to give Louis a second of doubt in what he felt for him. He always wanted Louis to know how special the tiny boy made him feel and even though Harry knew Louis was teasing, he was scared.

Louis sensed his desperation and turned serious, cupping Harry's face with his tiny hands and looking into his eyes. Harry noticed the tiny specks of green in Louis' eyes and thought it was beautiful.

"You know I was just teasing you right?" Louis asked, trying to make Harry feel at ease.

Harry grinned and nodded,

Louis' face morphed into confusion, "What do you mean?"

, Harry said, pulling Louis by the hand and led him through the stoned path of the park and behind the building of a restroom.

"Why are we here a- "

Before he could finish his statement, Harry pushed him gently towards the wall and came in dangerously close. Louis sucked in a breath.

, Harry whispered and kissed the spot just below his ear. Louis shivered in pleasure.

, Harry then moved down to kiss the side of Louis' neck, making him hold his hands in fists and trying to calm his breathing.

, Harry softly placed a kiss at the corner of Louis' mouth almost making him wish that Harry would kiss him already.

, he finally said, making Louis look up at him in confusion yet with eyes glazed over.

Louis was confused and scared. Harry wanted to change something of him? Did Harry not like his personality? Did Harry not like his smile? He was counting down all the possibilities. What could it be?

Harry laughed and finally captured Louis' lips in his. The kiss was passionate, urgent and filled with all of their feelings. It was different than all their other kisses before but they both knew it gave a whole different feeling.

"And what is it?" Louis asked, his voice breathless.

Harry smiled and kissed his forehead,

With a hammering heart Louis let out a laugh of relief, "That is way too corny." He couldn't help but smile.

Louis couldn't even say a word. Tears invaded his vision and everything seemed blurry after that. He could not imagine a future without Harry as well. It felt painful and lonely to even think about it. He felt Harry's arms go around him, holding him securely. So much safety and comfort from a single hug.

"And when that day comes, maybe I'll laugh at your corny but I promise I'll say yes", Louis said, his voice muffled against Harry's chest but Harry heard it all because his whole chest vibrated in laughter.

That moment was pure and filled with so much love that you'd think to love someone so much would be so unreal. But love is not understood by people other than the ones truly in love. It's a mysterious thing and though it is felt by all, only some can truly live by it.

To love a person is to learn the song

that is in their heart, 

And to sing it to them

when they have forgotten.
