his face pushing his light blonde brown hair away from falling on his forehead annoyed.
Being in school is the worse thing that happened to his life after his birth mother, of course. Good thing was, that with his adopted parents influence everyone stayed away from him and not just their influence it was the fact that he made it clear that he doesn't want to be involved with them.
He hated two things the most in his life,
Human contact and Human communication.
Both of which involves human in general.
In all and all, he hates humans.
His phone rings and he opens his phone to look at the text from his mother saying, Have at least one human contact and communication today, son.
Just as he finished reading the text he went bumping into someone so hard that it might have even shaken his existence if it wasn't that he had been living in the gym since he turned 16.
But, his mother wish did come true.
"Watch where you are going". He snapped as he balances his bag on his shoulder raising his head only to make his breathing hitched
She looks at him sadly, "I am sorry. I wasn't looking. Are you ok?".
"You were not looking. Why do you have two eyes for?". He barked making her flinch and her eyes filling with tears as he regrets his words instantly
"I am sorry. I will be careful". She said looking at the floor playing with her hands
He sighs taking a step back to move away from her before he had to have more unnecessary contact. She looks at him leaving as she follows behind him quickly.
"Suno". She said trying to stop his long legs while she runs in her tiny ones behind him, "Suno na". (Listen)
"Kia hai?". He asked taking a deep breath before he says something rude (what is it)
"I thought you weren't mad at me anymore". She said standing in front of him tilting her head to look at him
He gives her a tight smile," Who said I am mad?. I just don't wish to speak to you".
She pouts, "Why?".
"Does it matter?".
"Of course, it does. If someone hates me for no reason I need to know what I did wrong".
He rolls his eyes taking the schedule from her hand looking at him only to groan when she was in all his classes.
"Just follow me". He said walking away to the other side of the building
She grins following behind him while speaking about how excited she is to start a new day and new year and whatnot almost making his ears bleed in a matter of 5 minutes.
"Do you ever like...not talk?". He asked as he enters inside the class with his emotionless face with her following right behind him
"No. My Baba loves that I talk a lot and I do whatever he likes". She said smiling as she sits beside him at the last table in the class
"Do you mind sitting somewhere else?". He asked shrinking into his chair when everyone looks at him
"Why?". She asked curiously
"Why in the world not?". He asked
She shrugged, "You are the first person I spoke to here".
He groaned, "Should I consider myself lucky?".
She giggles, "If you want to".
"I don't". He said flatly making her pout as he turns to look at the teacher who came in
She turns to look at the older woman starting to teach non-stop for an hour making her sleepy because she was excited enough last night to not sleep almost half a night. She tries to open her eyes not wanting to sleep until she did sleep.

He shakes his head looking at her sleeping without a care about the teacher or lecture. Honestly, it was pretty boring anyway to listen to for so long. However, what annoys him is that her face is turned towards him and his eyes wouldn't listen to him as they continue to gaze at her beautiful face.
Her long eyelashes kissing her cheekbone and her soft silky skin looks so inviting. Her forehead seizes in frown line when the sunlight entering from the window falls on her so he moves his chair a little placing himself in a way that he was blocking it.
The bell rings making an uproar of freedom from the students around making her jolt from her sleep falling right down on the floor. He purses his lips trying his best not to laugh but that didn't last long because the moment she looks at him, he breaks into laughter.
"Your face was priceless". He commented watching as everyone attention was diverted to them
While he walks back into his shell, she remains embarrassed as she sits back on the chair beside him.
Then, she chuckles, "I know I am funny. Thank you".
He smiles shaking his head as the classes continued for long hours and so did her mouth runs miles making him want to run back home. The minute the last bell rings he ran out of the school gate without looking back watching as his mother waits for him in the parking area.
"There is my handsome son, how was your day?". Arooj asked grinning at him as he fixes his belt looking back at his younger sister who seems as enthusiastic as his mother
"Ammi Jaan, I am not that handsome". He groaned because his mother never leaves a chance to say that
"Uff! Kitne na shukari aulaad hai meri agar meri tumhari jaisi shakal hoti toh dekhte". Arooj said rolling her eyes (Uff! How ungrateful children I have, if I had a face like yours then you should have seen what I would be doing)
"Toh kia karti, begum?". He heard his father voice startling him as he turns to find him raising his head (what will you do then, wifey)
"Maine kub kuch kaha?". (I didn't say anything)
"Jo bhi karti akhir mai mere pass he ana tha apko". (Whatever you did ,you will stay end with me in the end)
"Whatever, Zo-Zo".
He smiles watching his parents go around as usual while his mind takes him back to his haunting place.
"Akbar". He heard his mother call as she opens his side of the door and he didn't realise that they were home already, "Are you ok?".
"Just tired". He said smiling meekly taking his bag heading quickly to his room
Not even a few minutes later his mother enters his room looking at him expecting for him to share his concerns but he doesn't wish to share them.
"You know before I met your father". His mother said sitting down on the couch, "I used to be in my little world where I was in an endless circle of darkness".
"And what?".
"And then I met your father on a rainy day of my life. My mother or supposedly mother hurt me enough to go and meet him to convince him to marry me or she will have my head". His mother explained with a smile, "Long story short, I convinced him and marry him. At that point, I had no idea that he will be someone who will come as a healer to my suffering. But, I had a feeling that I wished to be with this exceptional person. He was different even without his vision. He had something that ticked me off. Maybe, I would have run away that day even if he had agreed because I didn't wish to spend my other half of life is suffering too but that day I met him, that feeling I had was enough for me to stay".

"Why are you telling me this?".
"Because you have your pain maybe you need someone who can if not heal then drag you out of your pain. You need someone who diverts you away from your world and takes you to theirs or you both create your world".
"Ammi, I am 18".
"Age doesn't have to do anything with your heart, beta. If your heart knows and you know it's strong enough then all you have to do is take the chance and be a man who takes his responsibility and duties faithfully. In the end, it's all about faithfulness".
He nodded sighing laying on the bed as he looks at the white ceiling with the thought his mother just placed in his mind.
Zainab looks at her father curiously as he tries to pick the perfect flowers bouquet for her mother.
"Baba, just pick any. She always loves whatever you get". She whines after 50 whole minutes in the flower shop
"Beta, that's the reason I don't just want to give her anything. I want to give her something she loves not something she loves because of me". Nawaf said looking at the flowers attentively
"What's the supposed to mean?".
"When you love someone you need to be attentive to them. You don't take them for granted and you do your best for them. Even if they are small things, they might be big for them or cause a bigger impact".
She nodded smiling as she helps her father to pick something for her mother. She loops her hand with her father who loves her the most in this world and vice versa.
"You do know that in a month the wind will change, right?". His father asked concerned
She nodded smiling, "I am ready this time. I promise".
"You don't have to try so hard. We will always be right here".
"You won't be always".
"Then we will find someone who stays with you".
"Are you saying you are marrying me?".
"He has to go through me and it won't be pretty".
"I am 18, Baba".
"I won't do anything you don't wish for, beta. I didn't mean I am marrying you and to send you away from me is the hardest thing. I might just build a tent outside your house or something. Your mother is the one feeding me about your marriage asking me to be prepared because we received some proposals and even though we aren't thinking of marrying you. I need time to adjust to the thought of it".
"Is it hard?".
"What is?".
"Marriage".
"Not if you have someone who doesn't make it hard".
She nodded smiling as they enter inside their house where she found her mother trying to teach her brother something he doesn't want to study.
"Ammi Jaan". She said squealing running to hug her
Her mother chuckled wrapping her hands around her, "How is my daughter?".
"Good good. I made a new friend".
"Woah! Really?".
"Yes, his name is Akbar". She said grinning happily
"A boy?". Her father asked flatly
She nodded, "You will love him".
"I better". Her father said looking at her mother
"Bring him over someday or we can invite his family?. Akbar?. What's his full name?". Her mother asked softly brushing her hair away from her face
"Akbar Zohan".
"Zohan?. As in Zohan- the lawyer?". Her father asked and she nodded, "Oh, we know them. Why don't we invite them tomorrow?".
The next day she was excited to meet him to inform him about the invitation but she didn't find him. She frowns as she looks around to find someone calling for her so she looks at her classmate.
"You are Zainab, right?". Her classmate Amna asked and she nodded, "Come on, today spend a day with me".
"No. I am looking for someone--". She started
"But I want to be your friend". Amna said holding her hand
"You want to be my friend?". She asked innocently because not many people want to be her friend
Amna nodded sadly, "I don't have any friends. Can't you be mine?".
"Of course I will be. Don't be sad, please". She said smiling
"Great! Why were you shocked that I want to be your friend?". Amna asked confused
"Oh! Actually I am not very good at being a friend and everyone calls me a freak because when it's windy my health gets worse and it's all a mess". She explained
The day went on with no sign of him as much as she tries not to worry about him, she is worried. There is no way to contact him so her day went gloomy pretty quick.
"Akbar's parents said their daughter isn't well so they all can't come tonight". Her mother informed once she was back home making her sadder, "But, they invited us to come over tonight".
"We are going, right?". She asked excitedly
Her mother chuckles, "Yes, we are. Now get ready so we can leave on time".
She grinned walking upstairs changing into a beautiful dress getting ready quickly because she wanted to know if he was ok. The time went by until they were in his house and she looks around to find him but there was no sign. His sister was sick so she was still resting.
He brushes his hair back walking out of his sister room after she was better than before. He doesn't know why his parents want to call someone over today because he had a long day already. Whenever his sister is sick everyone in the house panic and he must be the only sane one beside his mother who looks at his father rolling her eyes every minute.
He heard the sound of laughter and talking as soon as he enters everyone halted and the only glare coming was from the older man sitting with the woman who must be his wife who was smiling and with them was a younger boy who was shyly looking at him. It wasn't until he heard his name that he turns to the other side to found her sitting right in front of him.
"You?". He asked confused because he didn't know what she was doing here
"Behave, Akbar". His mother warned narrowing her eyes
"No, I didn't mean it in the wrong way. I am just surprised". He clarified
"She is the daughter of Nawaf here". His father explained, "An old client of mine".
He nodded understanding as he sits on the same sofa as her because all others were taken. As everyone falls in their conversation he remains blank.
"Psssh". He heard her annoying voice say and he didn't turn until she hit him hard on his leg
"What?".
"How are you?".
"You wanted to ask that?".
"Of course, I came here to know how you were because you were not in school today when I looked for you everywhere and I didn't have your number to ask you---". She rambled
"Ok. Ok. I get it. Stop talking". He said groaning because he didn't sleep last night at all due to his nightmares and his head was pounding now
"Why don't you show her our garden?". His father suggested out of the blue
"What?". He asked because it was expected of his mother to do something of this sort, not his father
"Show her the garden". His father said slower this time, "Take her brother too".
"I love gardens". She said grinning at him before he was going to reject the offer
And he couldn't reject it anymore.
He walks with her and her brother who is exactly like her in talking because the moment they started walking both of them haven't stopped talking and he wasn't even sure what they were talking about so enthusiastically.
Just as they enter she squeals and her brother runs off in the garden while she grins adorably looking around to the flowers that his mother loves and his father had specifically placed them for her.
"You seem to like it". He commented amused at how her face was shining
"Like?. I love it". She replied jumping up and down making him chuckle, "You didn't tell me".
"About what?".
"How are you?".
"I am good".
"You don't look good".
"And how do you know that?".
"Because yesterday your eyes were different and today they are different. Are you sick like me?". She asked concerned making his heart skip a beat
"Not physically. What do you mean like you?". He asked curiously remembering he wasn't supposed to be curious about her
"I have a health condition that whenever the dust comes it becomes worse and I need to be cover myself properly or it can get out of control". She explained sadly
"It can't be that bad if you take precautions". He said softly not liking the look on her face
She shakes her head, "Every time, no matter what I do, it gets worse and that's why I don't have friends".
"How do you having a health condition had to do with being friends with you?". He asked incredulously
She shrugged pouting, "They say I am a freak and a weakling because I can't handle the weather. I need to stay inside my house a month or at least on days the dust is worse and because my father has some power no one says anything about me skipping so they all call me a snob but I didn't do anything. That's why I changed my school because everyone bullies me".
Unconsciously his fist clench, "What do you mean by bullying?".
"You know, the usual". She said shrugging not wanting to remember them
His eyes narrow at her words, "Elaborate".
"They call me bad names, call my parents' bad thing, abuse me and they look into my personal life and call me out on it". She said as she blinks her eyes to not cry because she is not a cry baby
"That's fu----". He stopped his cursing when she sniffed and he looks at the tears rolling down her face making something in his heart pull along, "Hey, hey, why are you crying?".
"Because you won't like me anymore too and also Amna". She said wiping her tears as she looks at him and more tears escape her eyes
"Who said I won't like you?".
"So, you like me?".
"Of course, I do. I am a freak too so we can be freak together".
She wipes her tears away, "You won't leave me?".
"Never".
"Ok. We can be freak together forever". She said grinning childishly making him smile, "But you are not a freak. You are--".
"I am, what?".
"Good person?".
"You think so?. What if I am bad?".
She crosses her arms over her chest shaking her head, "No. You will always be a good person to me. If you make me smile then you are good".
He smiles at her innocence, "Who is this Amna again?".
"She is my new friend". She said excitedly
"Amna as in our classmate?". He asked frowning
"Yes, she said she has no friend so I am her friend now".
"You shouldn't be". He mumbles lowly
He shouldn't care. He doesn't care. He is not going to care about this issue.
"Why are you pretending to be her friend?". He asked Amna the next day
"Because she is stupid". Amna said shrugging
"No, she is not. If anything you are being pathetic". He replied angrily
"Why do you care?".
"I don't have to tell you that". He steps closer to her, "But if you hurt her in any way then I might just tell you".
He walks away from Amna walking inside his class where she was sitting busy looking out of the window. He knows for a fact that Amna is no loner instead she is friends with everyone and she is also a bully. He had already heard about her being bullied which had caused the anger the previous whole night and something that he doesn't understand inside of him as he imagined her having to go through it again.
He sits beside her waiting for her to notice him but after a full 10 minutes, he turns to look at what she is looking at so interested that she didn't even look at him.
The cricket team.
They have their own boys cricket team in their school who goes around to play matches and he was never that interested to be in it.
"What is so interesting?". He asked leaning a little closer to her and her sweet scent immediately invade his sense so he moves back
"Just that if you played, you will look very good".
"I need skills, not looks".

Aiming To Be The Best Magician In The World!
Vol 2 is where stuff will get serious.
8 325Chronicles of Xod (returning from hiatus)
After a long recovery over a chronic motion sickness issue, I feel I'm ready to return to writing this book. It might be slow at first, but I'm hoping to pick up where I left off. I apologize again for the long hiatus. The pages following are a true account. An account of how I, Josh--a teenage nerd from modern suburbia--ended up in a strange world filled with fantastic magic, bizarre creatures, and terrifying dungeons. Despite the troped-up fantasy feel of the world, this is hardly an ordinary tale. For one, don’t expect a happy ending. With the trials I’ve been through, the horrors I’ve seen and the atrocities I’ve committed, believe me when I tell you, this is not a happy tale filled with friendly rainbow bears or teenage flying unicorns. It’s more likely you’ll finish this book mentally scarred as I will not spare the details of my unfortunate adventures. With the help of my trusted companion Gui, I gain an insight that no one else in the world has. This knowledge allows me to exploit and, for lack of a better term, metagame the system which gave me a clear advantage over its residents. “With great power...,” someone might begin to quote to me. In my defense, I think maybe even you, reader, might have acted similarly with how this reality changed my view of good and evil. This story will be updated regularly on Wednesdays around 6 PM. There will only be about 1000 words per update. The focus is to finish the story before doing any major changes or editing. Please read as if this is a work in progress, not a finished product. Feel free to let me know if you see any error, whether glaring or minor. If you help me out, I'll be sure to add you to a thank you list at the front of the book when it is published. Chronicles of Xod is a first-person fantasy novel that follows the adventures of a young man from Earth. Through unknown circumstances, he finds himself in a fantasy world where life is not all wonders and happy endings. The story takes common fantasy concepts from my favorite video games, books and movies and gives them an adult edge. It also introduces some taboo concepts often glossed over by stories written for broad audiences. The style is meant to be immersive and heavily detailed. The short novel will be written in a way that attempts to bring a sense of realism to an unrealistic genre. Where there are realistic consequences and dangers in a world populated with violent monsters, cruel demons, bloodthirsty undead, and immoral bandits. In this fantasy world, the inhabitants are essentially gender blind as far as sexuality is concerned. There is also more variation amongst male and female physiology. This isn't meant to be any kind of promotion or demotion of social behavior in reality. Just a concept I thought would be an interesting idea to have in a fantasy setting. I highly discourage anyone from reading this material if you are personally concerned with being offended or traumatized. Both violent and sexual content will be graphically detailed. All characters involved in sexual scenes are mature and of the age of consent(18+).

8 103Vigilantes Make Us Safe: Rebel Rebel
When the world was on the brink in the 1940s a group of men and women with uncommon ability pulled the world from the brink. They inspired generations to come and led to a golden age of vigilantes protecting the world. Times change. By the early 2000s almost nowhere was willing to tolerate unregulated men and women dispensing their own form of justice. The dawn of the internet made operating in the shadows virtually impossible. Everyone thought the days of vigilantes were done but presidential candidate Richard Hughes, riding a wave of populism, has promised to bring these men and women into the light and empower them to keep us all safe. The passing of the Vigilantes Making Us Safe Act changes everything. All teenagers feel like they don’t fit in at times. Ryaan Asfour knows the feeling well. As part of an immigrant family in a country turning against immigrants, there’s a lot of people who don’t think he belongs. The election of Richard Hughes and the passage of the Vigilantes Making Us Safe Act hasn’t helped matters. Suddenly anyone who wants to discriminate can just say they’re keeping people safe and do whatever they want. Sudden popularity at school after hitting a game winning shot makes it even more apparent how much he doesn’t fit in with the rest of his world. A clash with a pair of vigilantes on his way home from school puts things in perspective. What can Ryaan do to protect his family and his neighborhood? Vigilantes Making Us Safe will follow a variety of lead characters including Serenity, Toxic, Hitbox, the Rebel and more. I'll keep the cover image and title updated to reflect the current protagonist but I encourage you to check them all out.
