car still holding onto Zainab who was weeping silently in his arms. He turns Zainab in his hands holding her to his chest mumbling asking Liyana to stay inside the car while he brings back the things they bought. He went back in with Zainab walking to one of the toy sections buying her a fluffy teddy bear watching as her tiny eyes open still filled with tears which he wipes away with his hand making her vision clearer as she holds the teddy by his in her tiny fist looking at him curiously.
Obviously, by her reaction, it was the first time she saw something like that and the way she shakes the teddy probably wondering why it isn't talking or moving like a human he chuckles holding their cart walking back to the exit.
"We never knew you had a daughter?". He heard Omar voice from beside him
Unconsciously his arms tightened around Zainab hiding her away from Omar's preying eyes not liking it.
"Why does it matter to you?". He asked stern not giving away his emotions as his mask came back
He watches Zainab curiously looking at the men from his chest and he realises she likes being held this way because she doesn't wiggle nor ask to let go and he lightly pats her back affectionately.
"Sorry! Didn't mean to offend you. It's just we never heard about your wedding". Omar added while his father remains quiet as usual
"No one has to hear about my private life. I don't like to display it to the public to get their unwanted opinions on it". He replied coldly wanting them gone when they didn't he asked, "Why is the reason you are here?".
"It's a store we came to shop in, isn't that allowed?". Omar asked haughtily
"I mean why are you speaking to me?". He asked again
"Because we are a partner and I wanted to greet you". Omar said shrugging
"Since you are done greeting, leave". He said without any remorse
He quickly went to the counter paying for everything heading back to the car worried about her. He had only heard once from his mother that the people in the orphanage had heard her screaming and crying at night but he never saw it himself.
He has to say it's not a sight he wishes to see often.
He was trying to find her because she was gone for a while and he was worried if she lost her way or something happened to her. Only when he saw her back that relief washes over him as she stood in front of her. He didn't imagine that he would find her eyes filled with tears with many falling down her rosy cheeks. Her nose was red from crying and the look in her eyes- it was as if someone was sucking her life out of her.
It scared him.
He did look around but he didn't know who she saw that caused such a reaction from her. He saw her fainting so he feared that she might faint here. But, at that moment, when he stood in front of her helpless not having the power to bring her closer to him to console her had him feel something within him.
The restrain within him was breaking apart.
At the speed she is breaking down his high wall, scares him but the delight in it didn't let him feel it. He didn't realise that he wished to hold her in his arms while he comforts her but he had no right to touch her because every touch even if earnest is a sin if it's not done in the right way. He had no immediate relation to her to touch her and that will be a disrespect to her which he didn't intend to do again.

A woman is precious in every sense possible that doesn't mean she is weak. She cannot be a weak individual when her Lord had granted her the ability to carry a race (childbearing) in her and not in other. But, she is a different and unique individual who has her own duties to follow and her own way to be at. She didn't need to be influenced neither oppressed by any sense. But, she needs to know the directions that her Lord set for her.
The recent way of competing against the opposite gender, although there are some valid points, we need to study the issue deeper. Lord made two individual and hand them a capacity with directing them on their own ways. There is no competition between them. They are equal and partner. The fact that they both start to compete and hate on one another is a dangerous wave of hate that we haven't realise how deep it will go. The destruction awaits and we need to be careful on the path we take.
What did hating another gender got anyone?. Are woman respected now?. Are men degraded now?. Why is it not us but you and me now?. Who is earning benefits from this hate?. The questions are many and one needs to find the answers themselves. Because as much as one preaches the one who truly wants to learn needs to learn it themselves by finding their own method and speed.
"We are back". He announced sitting inside his car watching her intently while she just nodded opening her hands to take Zainab
He didn't push her placing Zainab in her hand who cuddle into her immediately making a soft sound which he understood that she must have missed her warmth. In a minute Zainab was fast asleep snoring lightly making him chuckle to which her head turns to him curiously.
Zainab and Liyana both are curious beings and he liked it.
"It's just she went to you and slept so quick". He said watching the question in her eyes
"She is just four months so she will sleep a lot". She replied remembering the long talk early in the morning with the supervisor
"That explains it. But, she has been awake for such a long time?". He asked confused as he drives out of the store
"She is curious and it's her first time out in the world so she is hyper, I guess". She said a little unsure
He nodded, "I bought her a teddy and she was looking at him like it was another universe".
She smiles looking at Zainab caressing her soft bubbly cheeks," She is very curious. When I took her to fountain she looked at it trying to understand what was happening. I don't think she understands much but she just like the way the water was falling".
"I think we can learn from her". He said turning into his house driveway," Sometimes we don't have to make sense of everything around us. We just simply have to enjoy the little pleasure and things around us".
She nodded smiling as she exits his car a little nervous at this interaction especially since he hadn't told his mother already. He asked his worker to bring in the shopping bags while he takes them inside the house where his mother was sitting reading something.
"Ammi Jaan". He said softly walking towards her kissing her forehead lovingly, "I have someone for you".
"Who?". His mother asked excitedly, "Is it a girl?. Your future wife?. I was thinking you will die alone by yourself with the speed you were finding no girl--".

"Ammi, breathe, please stop embarrassing me". He said as his cheeks flare in embarrassment, "Please come in".
She walks inside her cheeks were as red as him because she heard his mother words.
"You are here?". His mother asked confused and she feels her heart stopped
"Ammi, she is here to take care of you". He said holding his mother hand gesturing Liyana to sit down
"But why?". His mother asked
"Because you need rest. The doctor said you are stressing so I asked her to come here to take care of you". He explained, "She is attached to Zainab so I told her to bring her along we will take care of her".
His mother nodded looking at her with a warm smile, "It will be amazing to have someone other than this stupid here with me".
"I told you that you will hear from her about my brilliant performance all these years". He said shaking his head sitting beside his mother
She laughs nodding, "I can see".
His mother leans towards him whispering, "She is talking".
He couldn't help the laugh that escapes his lips, "I can see".
"This is wonderful. I will prepare your room--". His mother started when she cut her off
"Please no. Just show me the room or he can show me the room and I can do everything on my own. I don't want you to work or tire yourself out by these things. I am here to take care of you". She said politely
His mother narrows her eyes at him, "You are the one who feeds her that, didn't you?".
"It is the truth". He said shrugging, "I will show you to your room now".
She nodded following behind him in the never-ending corridors until he reached the end opening a grand door opening for her. Her eyes widen as she takes in the luxurious room.
"Are you sure this is my room?". She asked confused
"Yes, it is. You are not just here for my mother care, you are a part of our small family, so, you do deserve this". He said smiling lightly, "I will have Zainab's cot set in a few minutes until then you can look around and do what you want".
She nodded watching him leave as she explore for a few minutes placing a few things inside since she didn't have much of her own luggage and everything is that she bought just now she placed it all in the cupboard rather quickly.
After being done, she moves to look at Zainab who she placed earlier in between the mountain of pillows still sleeping soundly. She wondered if she should shower and go down to prepare for the dinner since it is almost time.
She heard a knock on her door and soon he came back with a man.
"I will work on it. It will take a while". He informed and she nodded taking Zainab out of the room back downstairs where his mother was still immensely reading a journal
"You are back. Is everything to your liking?". His mother asked smiling warmly
"Ji". (Yes)
She sits down opposite of her with Zainab in her lap looking at her.
"Do you know how to handle a child?". His mother asked coming to sit near her and she shakes her head, "I can see you are doing well on your part but now Zainab is away from the orphanage you will have more on your plate beside holding her a couple of times. Don't worry! I will pass you through them. If I can handle my son than no one else is a problem".
"Kabhi toh meri tareef karain". She heard his voice making their head turns to them as she enters inside (Praise me at least sometimes)
"Tumhari konsi is tarha ki harkatein hain jo tareef karnay k kabil ho?". (And exactly what have you done so great that I should be praising you on)
"Apka beta hona kaafi nahi". (Isn't being your son enough)
"Woh meri khoobi hai tumhari nahi, larkay". (That is something I should be praised on not you, boy)
He rolls his eyes playfully, "Sure".
She smiles watching their interactions quietly once she was sure they are done she spoke, "I was going to cook dinner so what should I cook?".
"It's your first day here". They both said at the same time passing glance to each other
"Um, on my work, yes". She said hesitating, "So?".
He shrugged and his mother groaned, "I would rather have you as my daughter who I can spoil than someone I ask to work. But I know you are stubborn so go ahead and cook what you want we are good with everything".
She smiles, "Daughter works to help their mother too".
"You must have been a good one then". His mother said making her smile fall which she tries to put back on but failed
"I don't think so". She said standing from her seat as she hands Zainab to his mother walking to the kitchen
"Ammi, Please don't speak about her personal life especially her family. I don't think we know everything or anything for that matter and it's best to avoid then unintentionally cause her pain". He said sighing smiling when he looked down at Zainab opening her eyes
"She must be hungry now". His mother said watching as her lips turn into a pout, "Go bring her milk".
"I don't know about that". He said hurriedly
Which earned him a slap making Zainab giggle, "No parent know anything but they learn and as far as I know you were the one who said he will take her responsibility and that doesn't just include financial positions there are many more. So, start acting and learning as a parent or I will take that bat out which you hide in your upper shelves even if I have to put a ladder to take it down".
"Not the bat, please". He whined heading towards the kitchen
He halted just outside watching her work gracefully as she navigates her way through the kitchen. Their kitchen was made of glass so everything is pretty easy to find and his mother liked simple decor so it shouldn't have been that hard for her.
However, his eyes take in her movement in a rather slow painful motion. Her light green dress adores her body and her hair in a messy bun with few of them leaving to fall down on her face. Her scarf was crossed over her chest and knotted on her right side while her hands work diligently in the food processor. His heart went out towards her in a speed that he must have gone crazy because no sane man is the drive that soon to someone.
But, there was something.
Something exceptional in her silence, in her few sentences, her timid voice, her graceful movement, her unique style and simply her. Even the fear, scar and constant dilemma the way she carries herself and her self respect not allowing her to be less of what she truly deserves is astonishing.
To have a woman not losing the sight of their gentleness and uniqueness is very rare.
In a rather fast pace and the manipulating world, gender confusion is being rapidly growing. Woman clothes to men clothes have long forgotten variations that made them unique. The woman either don't have to wear clothes that cover them or they simply wear clothes similar to men.
Where have we gone to exactly?.
And what are we heading for?.
To lose one sight of uniqueness is a terror to self perhaps that's why we are always juggling through mental health and confidence. We are confused, misguided and manipulated in such a way that we are nothing but lost, empty and wandering souls counting our days to end.
"Can I please have Zainab's milk?". He asked softly not wanting to startle her which he did anyways
She nodded quietly walking towards to heat the water and continue on with the process of making her a bottle of milk checking the temperature. She handed it to him without and word and he realised that she had entered back into her zone.
The quiet zone.
Something must have triggered it as he analyses it was about her family. What had happened?.
He didn't realise that he wished for her to be curious and takes steps towards him instead he was the one taking steps toward her and being curious of her.
After taking the milk back learning how to feed a child properly he was left alone with Zainab as his mother couldn't sit still and went to help her daughter.
His mother's words, not his.
He watches as Zainab continues to play with his finger which is longer, heavier and rough than her tiny soft ones as she wraps her fingers around his finger pressing on it. He smiles when she places her hand upright against his trying to measure them and the way her lips turns into a pout to find a big difference.
"I need to be bigger to be able to protect you, princess". He said kissing her forehead lovingly, "I promise to do that, didn't I?".
Zainab place her hand on his cheeks with her lips turns upwards as she tries to match his smile. He couldn't help at her failed attempt as he heard the food was ready so he holds Zainab taking her to the dining table.
It was late at night when he heard the sound of footsteps when he was working in his room on his new project to be specific on the new client that needed his investment.
He frowns turning to look at the clock on the wall to find it was 3 AM. He places his laptop down walking out of his room towards the stairs when he found the door of the backside opened. Thinking it was a thief or someone he walked towards the door hurrying outside.
It wasn't until his eyes fell on the figure standing in the dark which he seems to be familiar with now that he spoke calmly, "What are you doing here?".
She turned around abruptly losing her foot but managed to catch herself gracefully looking at him.
"Can't sleep".
"And why is that?".
"I have questions and no one to answer them. The one I was going to question didn't allow me to come to Him".
"You wanted to die?". He asked shocked
"I was dying anyway".
"Do you want to die even now?".
"Will yes be enough?".
"But why?".
"Because I don't have any need to live". She said frustrated
"Why is that?".
"Because the path I was shown and the path I walked on my whole life thinking it's my destination was snatched and ripped right in front of me and I wasn't able to say a word". She said as angry tears leave her eyes, "Why did it happen to me?".
"Why don't you ask Him?". He asked tilting his head watching as tear escape her beautiful eyes rolling down and going over the scar on her neck
"What?".
"Why don't you speak to Him and ask him?. He has the answer to what we cannot even think of. What you wanted to ask by going to Him, ask Him from here. Read his book and learn about Him and he will show you everything you need".
She didn't speak as she allows his words to sink in and that's when she heard Him calling to her (prayer call). He had always been calling every day but were we responsible enough to go to Him for five minutes?. How will we navigate and fight off evil when we cannot spare five/ten minutes of utter peace to Him. It wasn't even for His sake it is for ours.
She looks back at him as she spoke again leaving her in her wonders, "Your life might have been a designated path but maybe that wasn't your path all along. Maybe you were made for greater things and maybe you deserved something more than that life offered. Often when our designated path is turned around we fall down grieving over the loss not realising that the path we were on might have ended badly for us and the new path might just be the one which leads us to new adventures. It's all takes patience that we have lost in this long-run".

Hugh Johnson and the Seven Evil Alts
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Hugh Johnson was having a bad day. First there was the stupid long line to get into Comiket, then Truck-kun smashed him into paste, a lolii-goddess who punched him into another world, and finally, a wolf that decided to snack on him. And that was just the last 15 minutes. Now he needs to save Eternasy from the Seven Evil Alternate characters he created while playing Endless Fantasy before they destroy the world. Who knew that your actions in a game would have real-world consequences? Join Hugh as he takes on his first Evil Alt and journeys to the Lair of Daemon Wyrm. Hugh Johnson and the Seven Evil Alts will contain tropes familiar to readers of Japanese isekai light novels - a humorous progression fantasy with slice of life scenes, cute girls, burley men, dungeons, magic, and mayhem. Be warned that the MC is not a clueless weeb who has no idea how women or the world works. Expect this to read like hot garbage, and you will not be disappointed. I never expected to toss it into the Writeathon, but I have poor impulse control, so here we are.

8 185Alternate Worlds
This is actually a group of short stories I did some time ago. The first group are 3 stories, all starring the same Protagonist but with different foes and ways of how the stories play out. Past this I have other story lines that I have done this with and will likely use this heading to put them out there. - Note: The Book Picture is the location of the Portal the car went through. There are 4 such statues set across from each other and then two of the large pillars, set across the street from one another. New Story Line: Lost is about a man lost in a world that Used to have summoned hero's, ones where the mages who did the summonings did not close the pathways properly, so sometimes people from all across time, space, and dimension end up falling in to their world. Some become heroes, some 'Demon Lords' and some something else. I have 3 versions of this story which I will put here, one chapter a day. 2cd version was massively flawed, which I only realized while sharing it. As such I am skipping it and moving on to the 3rd version. The 3rd Story of Lost is about a man who mysteriously fell in to a world based on video games, complete with leveled zones, levels of skills, professions and so forth. Being from a world like ours, with the knowledge of these things, gives him a decided edge and better potential than normal. --------------------------------------- New story - New Life, Old Soul is the story of a man who used desperate experimental magic to grant himself a new life in a new world. This is an Iseki story with a single twist as no outside force dropped or summoned this soul to its new life. Come and see what sort of world and life this willing traveler of Realities unknown experiences. I will try and post once a day, though times may vary depending on my the wierdness that is my life. ^-^ ------------------------------ Cosmic Chaos A Void Maker tried to destroy several realities, by forcing their crystal shells in to each other. The AOs of those realms fought back the best they could, including a desperate play of opening random portals between the divergent universes and the void. Several things, peoples, and animals fell through these portals. In the grand scheme of things very little of this had long reaching consequences. However, Some of these universes gained new time lines from these events. This is a story of one such event, of one very lost traveler dropped in to a very different world than the one he came from. Tags: Isekai, Gender Change (Male to Female), Magic, Drama (lets face it most of my stories have a bit of this in them even when I don't tag them thus, though I don't know how 'Realistic' the characters are.) -------------------------------
