It's been 41 chapters already!!!.

Her eyes were bruised, her body was bruised and bleeding from everywhere that she couldn't even think of one place that wasn't. Her body felt as if someone had placed a burden on her but that the burden wasn't on her shoulder or body it was on her soul.

They have sucked her soul.

Her hands clench against her heart that breaks in pain still stubborn and beating for no good reason. If only her heart shut down this world of pain might just end for her.

But, the question remains in her head as to why was she in the cold street of nowhere laying down with her clothes ripped apart and her body covered with blood?. What had she done so wrong to deserve this pain?. Had she done something that a woman shouldn't have done?.

But what was it again?.

She doesn't know and her mind didn't have the energy to hold on further. Her body started to finally shut down and she was revived that finally she will have some peace and when she meets her creator she will ask him why she was accused, executed and humiliated in that way. She has questions for Him and she wanted answers.

She feels someone coming closer to her shaking her and she didn't even have the energy to tell them that it hurts when they touch her body.

"Please stay awake". She heard someone mumble but she didn't want to stay awake anymore

She decided that she needs to sleep and so she did.

Nawaf exits his branded car heading to the orphanage his mother had warned him to come this time or she will have his head. He loves his mother too much to have her become a criminal at her age. He wears his sunglasses walking inside the orphanage his mother adore with her life especially since she built it.

As he enters inside he found many young girls walking around doing their things while some looks at him. They all know about him from the media and he was glad that they all looked scared to approach him. Well, that didn't stay long when he felt a hard slap on his shoulder making him wince.

"Ammi Jaan, apko kitni dafa kaha hai k jub ghar mai na ho toh is tarha na kia karain. Izaat hai meri koi ap saari pani pani kar dayti hain". He said shaking his head at his mother attics even though she is old her hand still holds the power to make him wince in pain (Mom, how many time I have told you that don't hit me outside of the house. I have some respect outside which you destory everytime)

"Toh tum jo yeh khoof naak insan ban k a rahay ho yeh dekhoon mai?". His mother said coming to stand in front of him (and watch you walk around like a scary man)

He looks at his evergreen mother with her sparkling brown eyes and matching brown hair wearing a plain black suit.

"Ok. It's my fault. Now why am I here?". He asked kissing her forehead lovingly, "You don't put my head at risk for no reason".

"Actually, there is something". His mother said smiling cheekily

"Obviously. What can I help you with?". He asked warmly holding his mother hand

"There is a new girl here. Do you remember I told you about her three months ago?". His mother asked making him frown because he doesn't remember receiving another slap from his mother, "Do you even listen to half of the things I say?".

"Of course I do. Just a little less than half. But, I do. Really". He said hurriedly before his mother pulls a gun at him (not literally)

"No, you don't. Don't lie". His mother said crossing her hand on her chest then he saw how serious she turned, "She had been here but there is no information about her. The doctor said she was beaten to death, fortunately, she didn't happen to have any serious injuries so she doesn't have amnesia or any other such issues. Still, she doesn't speak and I thought maybe she can't but she isn't willing to talk to anyone. She stays close to herself and everyone said they hear her screaming, begging and crying all night".

"What is that you want me to do?". He asked as his voice held nothing but seriousness

"I want to know what happened to her or if she has a family she can go back to maybe she will heal with them". His mother said sighing

"NO". They heard someone say

He turns his eyes looking at a figure walking towards them. His eyes narrow as he takes in her covered in a plain suit and there were only bones on her. Her skin was pale and her eyes were mortified as if she has seen a ghost. After that evaluation, his eyes seem to take her in again just this time in a different way than his heart pleases to.

Her slender body was covered in white making her pitch-black hair and eyes look more prominent. The way her eyes look scared but the sunlight shining onto them made them pop up. Her full plumped lips- that she was biting on looks perfect like her.

She was something else.

Because he doesn't look at any woman for more than a minute and here he was blown away by some strange woman who was screaming and looked terrified.

"P-Please don't look into anything about me. Please". She pleaded to look at them trying to calm her racing heart that looks like it will come out of the chest, "If I am burden I will leave from here just please don't do any background checks".

"You are talking". His mother exclaimed almost sounding happy and shocked at the same time, "But what about your parents?. They must be worried?".

He watches a mournful look pass through her eyes as she looks at the ground nervously playing with her hand as she speaks lowly, "T-They are no more".

His mother gasped pulling her in a tight hug watching as she flinches at the mere contact and remains unresponsive to all his mother comforting words.

"I am sorry to hear that. Then why were you at the street that night?". His mother asked again

His eyes follow the deep cut mark over her neck going down hiding away in her suit which looks as if healed just recently making him wonder what had gone down?.

"I-I don't want to talk about it, please". She said gulping as she tries to erase the memories but the way they all starts to come back to her made her stumble losing her balance when he held her hand stopping her from falling

But she fainted.

His mother looked at the whole scene shocked, worriedly and anxiously while he was no different. He found everyone hurdle around them so having no option he picked her asking his mother to come with him to her office in the orphanage. They went inside the office closing the door behind placing her on the couch as he tries to wake her by sprinkling some water.

"I think it's best if you don't ask her about anything she isn't comfortable in saying". He said as he looks down at her opening her eyes so he stepped away not wanting to suffocate her with his presence nor disrespect her in any way beside he had already held her without her permission earlier for which he had to apologise

His mother moves to sit beside her once she was awake and he saw how she went back to not speaking or even replying to simple queries about her health to his mother.

"We should leave now". He said after an hour his mother stayed with her not responsive self

His mother nodded asking her one more time if she was good then finally following behind him silently. His mother is sensitive to these situations and she always been the one to worry about everyone around her even if it affects her own health. The orphanage was her dream but used to be handled by his father before he passed away because his father knew too well of his mother nature. He never let her know the cruelty of the world and kept her protected as much as possible. He learnt and saw how his father loved and cared for his mother every step just he wasn't half of the man his father was and he never thinks he will be one.

People are selfish and a kind heart on display is what they use. He had seen his mother almost being scammed for her kindness multiple time but he had stopped it before it went ahead. He never told his mother about it not wanting to break her heart. But, he found that without his father if he showed his heart to people around they will break it not caring one bit.

So, he had hidden it somewhere even he can't reach.

"She is hurt". His mother spoke sadly as they enter in his car, "Who can hurt her that bad?. You should have looked at her that night she was dying, Nawaf".

Now his mother was weeping so he parked his car on the side walking towards his mother side hugging her tightly.

"You cannot save everyone, Ammi. Everyone has their own fights and challenges they need to face themselves. There is all sort of things happening around us and we cannot think we can make a perfect world just because we want one". He said softly patting his mother back as she calms down he kissed her cheeks walking back to his side driving back home

Liyana stayed awake that night and it wasn't a surprise at least to her because she stays awake most night either because of her nightmare or her never-ending thoughts. Her fears of what comes at night never let her sleep but she knows all too well that the demon is more powerful than they now lurk in the broad daylight too.

The fact that parents used to scare their children of the demon at night under their bed is now reached such power to come out from under their bed in the daylight to harm them still amaze her.

Where have the good people gone?.

The bad is supposed to exist but the power the bad consume and control is on the good people. If the good one starts to bend down and hide away they are handing the control themselves to these monsters.

That's just how it works.

In the past, decades ago, the good people used to fight (literally) down the bad and so the bad wasn't spread to such extent. It was the moment people got involved in their own affair neglecting the wrong and trying to only save themselves losing the sympathy and empathy that the world turned around this way.

In the worse way possible.

We choose to believe that the challenges we face are the tests we came in this world for. But, looking back at our elder, leaders and people from a decades ago they had their own problems with them but they fought to bring peace, harmony and justice to the world.

That is why the world before even if the bad was still bearable to live in.

Now, it's a war zone.

She turns to the other side finding her roommates sound asleep. She sits on her bed looking around to find everyone sleeping. She starts to walk out of the room talking slow steps downstairs when she heard a soft whimper coming from one of the rooms. She halted turning around to walk in the direction where she heard the whimper from.

She opened the door of the room softly entering inside to find it a nursery for the youngest children here. She heard the whimpering again as she moves to one of the baby cots. She looks inside to find a beautiful baby with her eyes closed and her small hand clenched in a tight fist.

The baby opens her eyes filled with tears as if she just saw something bad in her dreams that scared her and her lips quiver once she looks directly at her as she starts to wiggle her hand to her.

She was confused for the next step until the baby burst into tears and she held her immediately in her hands. She wasn't sure how she knows how to hold the baby since she never held one before but she managed to hold her close to her chest gently massaging her back saying soothing words as she moves around in the nursery.

Once the baby calms down she pulls back looking down at her. The baby had green eyes shining as she tilts her head trying to look at her better. She feels a small smile coming on her features as the baby access her. Knowing that the baby might not sleep for a while she wraps her in her blanket heading to the fountain in the garden.

She sits in front of it watching the water flowing beautifully as the moonlight descends on it. She watches as the curious baby turns to look at the same thing as her. She smiles softly brushing her hand against her soft rosy cheeks from all the whimpering she had done before.

After a while, she finds the baby asleep in her arms holding her suit in her tiny fist tightly. Not having it in her heart to leave her in her cot alone she decided to take her to her bed instead. While she continues to look at her all night because sleep plays her no visits.

Nawaf starts his day energetically after an early gym he went to his office. If someone looks him from the outside he is cold and distant. He doesn't interact beside for business with people and that is that. He doesn't involve anything besides work.

He looks at the two men entering inside who just started their business this year and wanted his funding for it. Though he saw the potential in them he didn't know why he felt as if he shouldn't be helping them.

For some unknown reasons to his mind but some known reasons to his heart.

"I am Omar and this is my father Huzaifa". Omar said forwarding his hand which he shakes nodding, "We have the deal ready for you to look at".

"Where do you want this again?". He asked looking at the file

"Just a meter away from our house". Omar answered

"And where is your house?". He asked looking at them

"It's a little away from here just about a five-hour ride". Omar explained

He nodded asking them to give them time to discuss this with his team. He wanted to do a background check because he doesn't want to be involved with anyone with a shady character.

After asking his secretary to work with the legal team on them he decided it was late and he should head back home. As he enters inside he found his mother busy watching some video and making something.

Her art and craft. It was a day in a month where she will have this sudden urge to create something which ends pretty soon. He shakes his head smiling letting her do her thing while he walks back to his room changing into a new set of clothes coming back down to find his mother busy.

Not wanting to disturb her he went to the kitchen to find no food so he started to cook some pasta since he was craving some and his mother loves it. He finishes after about an hour heading with a plate to his mother giving her some which she takes grateful.

About an hour later around 11:30 PM, his mother was finally done and he was done with his office work when his mother announced that he needs to deliver this gift pack to the orphanage right now.

"But it's late". He argued

"I don't care. I want them to see it first thing in the morning. If you don't go, I will. Just take the keys, go inside and place it in the middle of the lounge on the table. The children will be very happy to see it. I bought some more things take them from my room too". His mother said smiling

He sighs nodding taking everything heading towards the orphanage. As he near the street he found a figure walking on the side. It wasn't until he passed it that he realised he had seen that figure somewhere. He pressed hard on the break making his whole car jerk forward and he was out of his car running after the figure like his life depend on it.

He stopped in front of the figure which looks back at him shocked,"Laiyana. Are you running away?".

She was in deep trouble now.
